Carlo's Restaurant in Conwy

We booked a table here to eat before visiting Venue Cymru. This place really is a hidden gem tucked away down a side street running parallel to the seafront. The food was delicious. Probably one of the best Italian meals we’ve eaten - certainly in the UK - and the service was excellent. Highly recommended

We've been looking to eat here for many months, but it's very popular, and gets booked up early. So I was amazed to get a table (4 adults) for Christmas Eve, making the enquiry only about a week beforehand. The service was very friendly and slick, and the food was delicious. So we were very happy that the reality matched the expectation.

Although the restaurant is 20 minutes walk from the town centre it is well worth the effort. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly service and an extensive menu. The food is amazing.

Amazing, a little Gem tucked away in Llandudno, a must if your visiting the area.

Turned up for a table for 4 without a reservation we were told 15 minutes and ordered a drink but was sat at a table in 10. Very efficient. Ordered 4 different mains and every one was delicious. Massive portions, and the waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place. Worth every penny.

Lovely fillet steak with chips and onion rings

We chose this restaurant for an evening meal whilst Visiting Llandudno for a few days. It's a very cosy and welcoming restaurant and almost feels like someone's front room. It's got a nice ambience and the range of food on offer and quality of the food is excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the host was very welcoming when we arrived. A great evening meal in a nice cosy restaurant in the heart of Llandudno.

Without any shadow of a doubt, the best meal we enjoyed in Llandudno. Every aspect of the experience was superb.

Went here for the first time. Staff are lovely the place is lovely. We had two courses. I had the steak which was lovely but the chips let it down they tasted like they were just reheated my husband had the lamb which he said was lovely the potatoes that came with it was lovely but the veg was barley cooked. The puddings were good I had the cheese cake and my husband had the lemon tart he said it was just ok. Pity about the chips as it really let the food down and I was so looking forward to home made chips. We would rate it 7 out of 10 as everything needs to be spot on. Don’t think I would go again as it expensive and I don’t mind paying if everything is good.

We have visited for the first time this bank holiday weekend and we have not been disappointed!!! The be steak I ever had and the Rissotto was to die for. Great atmosphere and superb service. We will definitely come back.

One of the best Italian meals, and we've had a lot! Excellent service from Carlos, Carla and the chef ( sorry forgotten ur name), lovely atmosphere, excellent food and house wine, large portions, reasonable prices. We shared 2 starters, amazing garlic bread and creamy mushrooms, we also had seabass (amazing, local, fresh) and a penne, pasta bolognese, huge dish. We highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant. Remember to book by calling... as there is no website or online booking facility xx

Short break in Llandudno to celebrate our anniversary and this was the place for our special meal. Nicely decorated place with a nice ambiance too. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. Portions were huge so choose your starter carefully! Very tasty and would go again if in the area :-)

A jewel off the main area in Llandudno but definitely worth a visit. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Also well appointed. The only downside is that it's quite a way from the main bars and busy areas if you are walking but still worth it

This is our favourite Italian restaurant in the UK - we visit twice a year and often base our visits around availability of a table! The food is sublime home cooking style almost (and I mean that in a complimentary way) and served in exceedingly generous portions. There’s also an extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. Highlights are the chicken livers to start, any fish special, the fillet steaks and all of the desserts (and I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth). I almost forgot the service - simply the best- friendly and unobtrusive.

The food here is amazing. The best I've had. The staff are really lovely and friendly. They managed to fit us in even though they were really busy. So it's best to book a table. There was a really pleasant atmosphere here. I really recommend it. We both had the Sea Bass. Omg. It was delicious. We followed it with the Lemon Tart. Again it was delicious. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. X will definitely go again in ever in Llandudno. But will book a table next time.

We visited here for a romantic evening while having a few days away. We chose it after reading previous reviews & it did not disappoint t. The service, food & ambiance was almost faultless. Waitress was very pleasant, friendly & knowledgeable, gave great service and was never far away without being intrusive to our privacy. Food was excellent, calamari to start was super, very lightly battered with a garlic Mayo, large portion (possibly too large?) and the filet steaks for our mains were tender, and again a full portion, which neither of us finished. I had mine rare which was cooked to perfection, my partner requested med/rare which came out closer to medium. The wine was of a very good quality, not over priced & a great choice to accompany our food. We did not have dessert, but had coffee which again was of the same standard as the food. Overall, a delightful evening, we would 100% recommend and will defiantly return if we are ever in the area again.

Took my mum for her 85th birthday, she can be quite fussy 🙈. The food was fantastic, staff warm and friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend and my mum couldn’t fault it, she loved it!!! 10/10 from us!!!

My sister and I came here near the end of June 2023 for a treat. My sister had Pollo Gorgonzola Milanese which was delicious. I had Pollo Cacciatore which was very nice, but it just tasted of bland chopped tinned tomatoes. No flavour. It was supposed to have been garlic and peppers in a red wine sauce. I could not taste anything other than to the tomatoes. Tinned or otherwise. I did not complain because I wanted a nice night out with family without any complications. All the other food was lovely. Our meals were served with small fried potatoes which were lovely and a side of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. We ordered an extra side of veg, we really didn't need too, because it was a decent portion size. I would of gave a 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the very bland tomato Cacciatore.

A wonderful meal. We went with pasta for mains (lasagna and pappardelle) and scallops and melone e proscuitto di parma for starters. Everything was delicious except the honeydew melon, but that's not surprising because it seems impossible to find good honeydew mellons anymore. The house red was acceptable. Service was great and the room was well appointed and comfortable. We'd definitely return if we're ever in town again.

Always a great welcome, always amazing food, always great service and even nice authentic Italian tunes in the back ground. My mum's favourite restaurant. Garlic King Prawn Skewers are to die for. Graphic bread with cheese on proper Italian bread so yummy, Veal Parmesan amazing, Home made cheesecake out of this world. Price is fair but not cheap as portions are big. The owner himself works front of house and his team work extremely hard to keep the up the quality over many years of great business and even through the pandemic.

Carlo’s is an absolutely incredible restaurant. Just dined tonight and Carlo managed to secure us a table. Risotto and Pollo Senape were both delicious. Generous portions and served with a selection of fresh vegetables. As visitors to the area, this was a great find and will definitely return.
