Carlo's Restaurant in Conwy

Our first visit to Carlo’s was fabulous. The extent of the menu was breathtaking, the welcome was amazing and the food? A party of four we all had three courses, different items off the menu and they were all delicious. Served hot and promptly by the very friendly obliging staff. What a find we will definitely be returning even though we live in Shropshire. Really excellent all round.

This was our 5th visit to Carlos over the last few years. We always book Carlos when we go to Llandudno. It was fantastic as always. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is always delicious. I had the fillet steak with Gorgonzola which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the lasagna which was bubbling hot and tasty. Thank you for another lovely evening, we will be back.

Return visit. Nice to see it’s still the same. Cozy and welcoming. Staff friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Good choice on menu for food and drink. Order taken promptly and food arrived hot and tasty. Very good size portions. Mains come with a separate side dish of various vegetables. No room for dessert. Booking advisable as it does get very busy. Would highly recommend.

We were in Llandudno on a business trip and quite a few people we spoke to locally recommended this place to eat one evening. We managed to get a booking for the desired night. The food was amazing definitely fresh and with every ounce of flavour in every bite. We ordered 3 different dishes and ordered some side dishes as well. Service was timely and food arrived nicely presented and tasted amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and relaxed and the servers were attentive but not over bearing. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return when I go back to Llandudno. I would definitely recommend forward booking if you’re going to Llandudno.

Booked a table for tonight, glad we did as it was quite busy. What a gem of a find! The food was beautiful and plentiful. We had the stroganoff and a risotto followed by a mouth watering lemon tart dessert.The staff were really friendly,chatty and couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived on the recommendation of our Hotel but received quite a frosty reception from a waitress. We were made to feel like a nuisance and when the waitress came to take our order she rattled off in an incoherent manner the choice of fish dishes. We wished we hadn't bothered to ask! The food was lovely but I would suggest the waitress does some training in customer service!

Another visit to this great little bistro. Never disappoints. Carlo and Carla are great hosts who make sure you have a lovely time even before the quality of the food makes your night special.

Extraordinary! The food and service are exceptional! It's the first time that my son and I couldn't eat everything and gave up ordering dessert. The menu is very diverse, the portions are huge and the taste sublime! The wine menu is a dream, I don't think you can want a kind of wine and not find it. I have been to many restaurants in LLandudno, but this is the best. It's a pity that they only opened between 17:00 and 22:00 and places are limited, only by reservation. Congratulations, you are the best!

Food average service good def not italian atmosphere

We really enjoyed our meal at Carlos - nice ambiance and friendly staff. The food was delicious and can recommend the chicken liver starter, lasagne and spaghetti carbonara!!

Absolutely lovely meal, only had mains, veal and fish but cooked to perfection, as was the side veg and potatoes. Service was quick and attentive. Couldn't be faulted from start to finish. Shame about the yelling kids on another table but that's the parents not the restaurant. We will be back !

Visited on a Saturday night the food was really good the main issue for us was the service it appears they really try but it was painfully slow we were in for over 2 hours with long waits in between course A real shame because as previously said they do work hard and food was good

Visited this restaurant with my partner on a Friday night. Service was brilliant with the menu specials of fresh fish being explained in detail. I had a starter of baby plaice in light batter which melted in my mouth. My partner has tiger tail prawns in garlic butter. Main courses, we both chose cod in a king prawn sauce which we both agreed was excellent. We have visited this restaurant when in Llandudno previously and it never fails to disappoint. Carlos restaurant is definitely one of the top places to eat, but make sure you book in advance!

A must find little restaurant in Craig Y Don, N. Wales. Lovely kind, helpful staff and superb food. I chose a special of the day, Monkfish, it was outstanding. All served with fresh vegetables of the day, too. We arrived early and sat in cosy little nook in the front bar. Definitely worth putting on the "go to visit list".

We booked a table here to eat before visiting Venue Cymru. This place really is a hidden gem tucked away down a side street running parallel to the seafront. The food was delicious. Probably one of the best Italian meals we’ve eaten - certainly in the UK - and the service was excellent. Highly recommended

We've been looking to eat here for many months, but it's very popular, and gets booked up early. So I was amazed to get a table (4 adults) for Christmas Eve, making the enquiry only about a week beforehand. The service was very friendly and slick, and the food was delicious. So we were very happy that the reality matched the expectation.

Although the restaurant is 20 minutes walk from the town centre it is well worth the effort. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with a friendly service and an extensive menu. The food is amazing.

Amazing, a little Gem tucked away in Llandudno, a must if your visiting the area.

Turned up for a table for 4 without a reservation we were told 15 minutes and ordered a drink but was sat at a table in 10. Very efficient. Ordered 4 different mains and every one was delicious. Massive portions, and the waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place. Worth every penny.

Lovely fillet steak with chips and onion rings

We chose this restaurant for an evening meal whilst Visiting Llandudno for a few days. It's a very cosy and welcoming restaurant and almost feels like someone's front room. It's got a nice ambience and the range of food on offer and quality of the food is excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly and the host was very welcoming when we arrived. A great evening meal in a nice cosy restaurant in the heart of Llandudno.

Went here for the first time. Staff are lovely the place is lovely. We had two courses. I had the steak which was lovely but the chips let it down they tasted like they were just reheated my husband had the lamb which he said was lovely the potatoes that came with it was lovely but the veg was barley cooked. The puddings were good I had the cheese cake and my husband had the lemon tart he said it was just ok. Pity about the chips as it really let the food down and I was so looking forward to home made chips. We would rate it 7 out of 10 as everything needs to be spot on. Don’t think I would go again as it expensive and I don’t mind paying if everything is good.

We have visited for the first time this bank holiday weekend and we have not been disappointed!!! The be steak I ever had and the Rissotto was to die for. Great atmosphere and superb service. We will definitely come back.

One of the best Italian meals, and we've had a lot! Excellent service from Carlos, Carla and the chef ( sorry forgotten ur name), lovely atmosphere, excellent food and house wine, large portions, reasonable prices. We shared 2 starters, amazing garlic bread and creamy mushrooms, we also had seabass (amazing, local, fresh) and a penne, pasta bolognese, huge dish. We highly recommend trying this lovely restaurant. Remember to book by calling... as there is no website or online booking facility xx

Short break in Llandudno to celebrate our anniversary and this was the place for our special meal. Nicely decorated place with a nice ambiance too. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. Portions were huge so choose your starter carefully! Very tasty and would go again if in the area :-)

Lovely restaurant, great service, superb food and wine. Went there with family visiting from Geneva (Switzerland) and it’s as good - if not better - than any restaurant you’d find in a big city. A real find.

A jewel off the main area in Llandudno but definitely worth a visit. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Also well appointed. The only downside is that it's quite a way from the main bars and busy areas if you are walking but still worth it

The food here is amazing. The best I've had. The staff are really lovely and friendly. They managed to fit us in even though they were really busy. So it's best to book a table. There was a really pleasant atmosphere here. I really recommend it. We both had the Sea Bass. Omg. It was delicious. We followed it with the Lemon Tart. Again it was delicious. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. X will definitely go again in ever in Llandudno. But will book a table next time.

This is our favourite Italian restaurant in the UK - we visit twice a year and often base our visits around availability of a table! The food is sublime home cooking style almost (and I mean that in a complimentary way) and served in exceedingly generous portions. There’s also an extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. Highlights are the chicken livers to start, any fish special, the fillet steaks and all of the desserts (and I don’t have a particularly sweet tooth). I almost forgot the service - simply the best- friendly and unobtrusive.

We visited here for a romantic evening while having a few days away. We chose it after reading previous reviews & it did not disappoint t. The service, food & ambiance was almost faultless. Waitress was very pleasant, friendly & knowledgeable, gave great service and was never far away without being intrusive to our privacy. Food was excellent, calamari to start was super, very lightly battered with a garlic Mayo, large portion (possibly too large?) and the filet steaks for our mains were tender, and again a full portion, which neither of us finished. I had mine rare which was cooked to perfection, my partner requested med/rare which came out closer to medium. The wine was of a very good quality, not over priced & a great choice to accompany our food. We did not have dessert, but had coffee which again was of the same standard as the food. Overall, a delightful evening, we would 100% recommend and will defiantly return if we are ever in the area again.

Took my mum for her 85th birthday, she can be quite fussy 🙈. The food was fantastic, staff warm and friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend and my mum couldn’t fault it, she loved it!!! 10/10 from us!!!

My sister and I came here near the end of June 2023 for a treat. My sister had Pollo Gorgonzola Milanese which was delicious. I had Pollo Cacciatore which was very nice, but it just tasted of bland chopped tinned tomatoes. No flavour. It was supposed to have been garlic and peppers in a red wine sauce. I could not taste anything other than to the tomatoes. Tinned or otherwise. I did not complain because I wanted a nice night out with family without any complications. All the other food was lovely. Our meals were served with small fried potatoes which were lovely and a side of perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. We ordered an extra side of veg, we really didn't need too, because it was a decent portion size. I would of gave a 5 out of 5 if it wasn't for the very bland tomato Cacciatore.

Down a side street, looks like two houses knocked together, looks out of place! But..... WOW.... everything was fantastic, food was delicious, setting inside was intimate, staff were friendly.... just book it!!!!

What a superb restaurant! The garlic bread was best I've ever tasted outside Italy. Recommend the Linguine Carbonara & Spaghetti Bolognese. The staff are excellent & made the whole experience one to remember. The table next had fillet steak which looked superb! Will definitely visit next time in Llandudno.

A wonderful meal. We went with pasta for mains (lasagna and pappardelle) and scallops and melone e proscuitto di parma for starters. Everything was delicious except the honeydew melon, but that's not surprising because it seems impossible to find good honeydew mellons anymore. The house red was acceptable. Service was great and the room was well appointed and comfortable. We'd definitely return if we're ever in town again.

Always a great welcome, always amazing food, always great service and even nice authentic Italian tunes in the back ground. My mum's favourite restaurant. Garlic King Prawn Skewers are to die for. Graphic bread with cheese on proper Italian bread so yummy, Veal Parmesan amazing, Home made cheesecake out of this world. Price is fair but not cheap as portions are big. The owner himself works front of house and his team work extremely hard to keep the up the quality over many years of great business and even through the pandemic.

Carlo’s is an absolutely incredible restaurant. Just dined tonight and Carlo managed to secure us a table. Risotto and Pollo Senape were both delicious. Generous portions and served with a selection of fresh vegetables. As visitors to the area, this was a great find and will definitely return.
