Caribbean Nice & Tasty in Salford

Was passing through and decided to stop. The best Jamaican food I've had in Manchester. Curry chicken, plantain, dumpling were the best I've tasted. Worth the long journey back to eat from there again.

The greatest food in Salford, go everytime I'm working at the office, freshly tasty and full of flavour.

Front area of this take away doesn't get cleaned by the owners EVER. The occasions it's clean is because a volunteer resident/s keeps having to do it because they choose not to. Back area here is also a disgusting mess of litter and dumped waste they choose to also do nothing about. Cleanliness can not be assured here if this is the attitude being adopted by this ignorant business of last staff.

I bought a peppered steak with rice & peas meal and jerk chicken for me to enjoy back home in London. The gentleman at the counter was so helpful and friendly. He made sure the food was packed well for my long drive back. I won't lie, the drive home was smooth but I just kept thinking of my meal once I got back and I wasn't disappointed. The peppered steak was cooked really well, the meat was tender and the sauce had a nice subtle spice which was not over powering and the rice absorbed the flavours really well. The chicken was so tasty and had a good kick but without blowing my top off. I think I would get the jerk chicken with rice & peas as the flavours were amazing and worked so well. Definitely worth a visit for anyone looking at getting authentic Caribbean food that's also Halal! 😋

Staying one night in Manchester, and saw this Caribbean place, so had to give it a try, I got the rice and peas with goat curry, and a lamb patty. The food tasted so good! I got the normal portion which was just right, the mutton just fell apart it was so tender, I would highly recommend this place for your Caribbean fix. The music in the place has be wanting to move, the only downfall was that I had a long walk back to my hotel, but the food was worth the walk

Upon entering the store, the assistant was on the phone and continued to hold the phone on her shoulder whilst preparing my food I felt this was poor customer service. The food itself was average

Another food outlet where the street outside is filthy and the staff just sit around looking at it instead of cleaning it up. Hygiene & cleanliness clearly not important to this shop so I don’t eat here for that reason

Nice and very tasty food, nice spicy chicken, nice man who make my food. If you hungry and don't now what choices you can choice this place, I was take medium portion what was like large, box was full of nice tasty food, for me didn't was to spicy was ideally.

Good home cooked style food in a relaxed environment. Owner and workers are really nice.

Visit here pretty often, sometimes I divert my route so I can get food. I've had goat curry with rice & veg and jerk chicken split when I'm not so hungry, always great food, nice folks who run the shop, you must give it a try!

So good - can’t believe I’ve only just found this place. Jerk chicken is amazing, loads of chicken and that gravy is just next level. Rice cooked lovely too.

Well cooked meals bursting with authentic flavor. Every item on the menu is cooked to Perfection. When I say bursting the pack a lot of food in.

A microwaved patty and a tiny tray of burnt plantain 🥲 I won’t be returning.

A lot of West Indian takeaways I visit i'm usually disappointed but this, this one Is the best I've been to, fresh, spicy, lots of sauce and lots of veg, trust me, you won't find a better takeway than this, I wish I lived closer. 5 stars Respect!!

Nice little takeaway serving authentic, finger licking Caribbean food. The owner is a lovely guy and a great host as were staying in his airbnb just above the takeaway.

Just got curry chicken with rice and steamed veg... Would definitely go here again, chicken was succulent and very tasty, the rice was fluffy and the steamed veg was very nice. Very nice food and the shop looks nice and clean.

We order a foot from this new local place. Strongly suggest that. Staff is really friendly and the food is fresh. Deff deserve the name Nice and Tasty

Really good. Stopped by tonight, ordered fish as a meal with a few extras (plantain and dumplings). Nice and hot, tasty, great size portion including the plantain. There was plenty. Really good value for money. Really enjoyed it. Will be back again! My new local.

One of the best takeaways I've had in a while, goat curry was amazing meats really tender.

The Mrs heard about this place on FB and sent me from Wythenshawe! Was well worth the trip, curry goat was amazing. Gonna try something different next time but I know I've got a safety net😉 Lad was nice on the counter which is a bonus 😉👏👏

Absolutely never try here again my curried mutton was bland not enough sauce to cover all the rice which was under cooked uses to enjoy it here but past couple of times it's been rubbish not a patch on the Caribbean's in moss side or broughton

Funny story, I was looking for a healthy food place and after being laughed out of town a lovely young lady directed me to this strip, low and behold there was Carribean. Anyway, I locked my bicycle to the lamppost outside and instead of taking in the menu, asked for what the guy before me had gotten; the Stew Chicken. And a bottle of Mango & Carrott juice. It cost £6.50 for the food which came hot in a cling film wrapd single size Styrofoam box. (£2 for the drink but its a fancy luxury drink so I won't question the cost). I found a place to eat on my way home, further up Liverpool Street and the food was still hot. It was really good, the sauce seemed replenishing and made of good stuff. It was spicy but to a level I find invigorating. The food was made up of (e): rice (45%), chicken (35%), vegetables (carrott, cabbage) (20%) and all was swimming in the infused gravy. There was too much for me and I'm 5'11 and 13st. Good meal, I will return in the future to try their other dishes, really glad I was sent that way, and I have faith now that healthy or healthier takeaway exists within my reach. 2020/07/03, Karl M

I am a truck driver who normally doesn't get chance eat amazing food. Tonight was different. Caribbean Nice and tasty served up amazing curried goat with rice and peas and dumpling. Extremely tasty and good sized portion brought back fond memories of my time in the Caribbean. It was that good i got a takeaway for tomorrow night. Thank you guus

Another hidden gem. There are not many seating places, but still i had the chance to enjoy caribbean food from the friendly stuff. I was there at late time, everywhere was clean. A lot of people do takeaways but I prefer sitting in and chat. I had chicken curry and also fried a portion of fried chicken woth extra gravy. Dumblings fit this one incredibly. My first preference would be fish but there wasnt any ready. Although they asked me of I wait like 20 minutes, I can have some but those chicken looks great and tasted even better. Dont forget to try the self made chili sauce. It is hot and delicious.

I absolutely loved the food there. A greatly placed restaurant, as there aren't many places to eat in the area. The staff are friendly too, which is nice. The food is so nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great place for having food with friends and family.

Curried goat is the best around, not full of bones like most places !, food is served on a plate with a metal knife & folk, not the usual cardboard & plastic,If you live in salford you have to try it 5*****

Went last July (2017) and both service and food was spot on. Went yesterday and I had the complete opposite experience, the man who served me was rude and the food was disgusting.

The best curry goat I've ever had, no surprise bones or gristle, I literally dream about it. It would be my last supper if on death row! Leroy is lovely, his homemade jerk sauce is gorgeous & spicy, and my colleagues have never said a bad word about the jerk chicken or stew beef.

I've been going here for a while now. The food is incredible and portions are super. Staff are always friendly. Great value for money. Instead of a Chinese or Indian, I'd would definitely suggest going here for a chamge. Plenty on the menu with a variety of drinks etc.

I have been coming here weekly for years now to have my dinner with Leroy. There is a great friendly chilled vibe if you eat in and the food is excellent. Curried Chicken, stewed beef, dumplings, patties and more.

Food is always yummy. Seems to last me for 2 days as the portions are always big. I go for my usual rice and peas and curry goat. Also a piece of JERK chicken and a pattie AND a dumplings and a can of grape soda and some plantain if he has some!!! Staff always friendly and polite. Think this is the only place in Salford for Carribean food😀

What a great little find. Stopped there a curried goat dinner and jerk chicken dinner. Lovely fresh and tasty food. Also shared some fried chicken and a beef patty. Menu is nice and varied.. a great little find which means we no longer need to venture in to Manchester for a tasty Caribbean take away
