Cardamon Authentic Indian Takeaway in Sheffield

Tried for the first time. Good takeaway but a little cold considering we collected quickly and live nearby. Korma could have had more flavour. Quite expensive for what it was.

Only 8 of us in the restaurant,lots of people having takeaways though.Friendly welcome and good service.Meal was very good, tasty and good portions.Would definitely go again .

Called for an early meal on the way to a show in Barnsley. Absolutely wonderful. We got a nice welcome and were seated in a lovely table at the back. We had nice service where we felt looked after but not too much intrusion. The food was hot and delicious and really good sized portions. I felt that they appreciated our custom and we were very pleased we'd chosen to eat here. One last and important thing, the toilets were very clean and tidy. Well worth a visit.

Very good food, we were really impressed by the quality of the dishes. We chose this as a new place to try as we were nearly and were very pleasantly surprised. This is cash only and no alcohol served.

Been ordering takeaways here for the last four years and been great the last three months they have got worse we wanted to give it another chance tonight…never again raw chips, chicken like rubber disgusting and rude staff ! Never again

We ordered takeaway. Wow - it was expensive but I had heard such good reviews. Could have got the same meal delivered from elsewhere for around a third of the price. Food was decisively average. A bit disappointed really, so won’t be ordering again.

Unfortunately there was hardly any taste to the curries and from what I did taste, it wasn’t very nice. The meat was also rubbery. I regretted eating some of it. Disappointing.

Been going here for aprox 4 years and including this time never had a bad meal on Takeaway. Been 3rd Feb 2023 and cannot believe the price INCREASE. Got a Menu from say maybe 1 year ago and used to pay approx £13 or £14 ish for 2 mains, Chips and Pilau Rice and one starter and Cheesy Naan Bread. Cheesy Naan Bread is now 1/2 size, and mains much smaller and now charge £27 for the same meal, Looked at older Menu and campared with new one and each individual dish has been increased by between 65% and 75%. Therefore, something has increased by over 100% as we collected so no Delivery charge. I know things are difficult for businesses but things have not increased by 65% minimum. We both work full time, but this is pricing us out of it. First time and last time we accept an increase like this.

Decided to order a takeaway as its usually really delicious and lovely but was absolutely garbage all went in the bin, cold, reheated food, the starters looked and tastes like they'd been reheated several times and the naan you could have used as a doorstop it was like rubber, will never be going again total waste of money

The staff need to smile and have good customer skills which in bundles they do not. Not a very happy welcome no smiles no nothing. Just plonked on our table. Delivery drivers coming in and out in and out past our table while we ate. Delivery driver shouting at counter. Inconsiderate man. No wonder it's empty in the restaurant. Lovely food but absolutely no thought for the people in the restaurant ( Only us at the time ) it's a takeaway not a restaurant. No alcohol license and can't take own alcohol in. Paid and left. Never again.... They want your money and nothing else.

My partner and I went out for a few drinks in the area & was looking for somewhere to go for a nice meal. We saw this place & thought it sounded ok. We booked a table & went along. On arrival we noticed there were only 2 other couples seated & the remaining restaurant area empty. The staff here never smiled once, all looked very glum. They took our order & we had our drinks brought ( soft drinks.. no alcohol served) . Our poppadoms & pickle tray was brought ( by a miserable looking chap) we started eating this.. ( very nice) but then a bloke came in shouting very loudly at the man on the desk saying that the delivery was wrong again & he was fed up of it!) We realised this was one of the many delivery drivers for this restaurant. This was really unpleasant to experience when your trying to relax & enjoy a meal out. The other diners left & we were the only ones in the restaurant ( 9pm on a Saturday night) our main meal was deliverered & we began eating, the food was very nice, however this was spoilt by the influx of other delivery people walking back & forth past our table, we felt like we were in a train station. We were asked if our food was OK ( again by a member of staff who didn't know how to smile or even look happy we were there!) The atmosphere of this place was really uncomfortable.. we couldn't wait to leave. It was a shame as the food was good, but we definitely won't be visiting this place again. We both said all the staff here need a lesson in customer service.. either that or just focus on being a takeaway as the restaurant side of it is very poor.

Ordered online for delivery at 5pm, received email saying food would be on way at 18:05. 18:40 I called to see where our food was only to be told that they’d been to my door and had no answer. I have 2 dogs and it’s pandemonium when someone comes to the door. In fact visitors don’t get through the gate before they start. I insisted no one had been, but was giving the benefit of the doubt that they’d maybe got next door by mistake and was still trying to sort it. BUT the driver in background who was sounding very belligerent then also insisted that he’d called my number from outside but I hadn't answered! I was sat with the phone in my hand. No one had called. He simply lied. We have been fairly regular customers but normally go in to order on the way home, this was the first time I’d asked them to deliver. They have proven to be so unreliable, and lied to a customer. I’m really disappointed in how we were treated and lied to. I’ve now ordered from an another restaurant.

We love this place, always tasty and generous portions! Food always arrives on time and hot. You won’t be let down!

I’m a pescatarian (I eat fish and veg but no meat) so ordered a prawn pasanda, got home and was eating away, started eating what I thought was a prawn, unfortunately it was chicken, spend a while crying as I haven’t eaten meat in over 6 years. Rang up and they literally couldn’t understand why I was upset, for a restaurant that doesn’t sell alcohol imagine if I said “this is water” and it was vodka? Turned up to get my money back and gave me my money for the chicken pasanda I didn’t order... literally broke down as the young guy on front was nothing but a nasty piece of work, literally stood there laughing at me treating me like rubbish. Manager turned up... got an old £20 note I will have to change at the bank and a bottle of alcohol free wine. Buzzing since I’ve throw up 3 times now 👍 I’ll apparently get “taken care of” but after discovering it was old money I have realised they don’t give a care about their customer base at all and wouldn’t want to think what would happen to my food. Guess myself and anyone I know will be off to spice cottage 👌
