Capital Chinese in Leeds

Had a special curry are they new owners they used to be very good one prawn you used to get a few and the taste was not as nice don't know what has happend

Well I had a beef and chicken curry it was nice but the curry sauce needed to be a little bit thicker and enjoyed the salt and pepper chips alot better now under new management 28/3 2024

Lovely food never had anything wrong and tried different dishes

First time we have visited and will be back. Not quite sure about the spring rolls but the rest was very good

Lived nearby and have been going to for over 8 years. I believe it has been taken over and has gone drastically down hill. Lower quality food plus smaller portions sizes. Last few times (as tried to give benefit of your doubt) have been bland.

The bin enjoyed it we did not never again.

Terrible food, special curry had no taste at all,starter was under cooked, never again

I have ordered from capital for almost 4 years and not once had a complaint, always the same great tasting food, I ordered my usual tonight and I had to ring back up as the salt and pepper chips didn’t taste of anything, they usually come nice and crispy oh no not anymore soggier than a rich tea in water. Satay sauce tasted rubbish. Overall very disappointed with my meal and unfortunately I will no longer order from capital, such a shame

Love the red thai curry these guys do is absolutely 💯 delicious. I simply can't get enough of the stuff and their prawn toast is absolutely amazing. My partner get chicken and mushroom every time and swears by it as she didn't do spices like I do. Their delivery is very fast and friendly and we highly recommend

I think it’s been taken over. Iv used this place for 10 years + (though not since last year) and it was awful! Ordered Cantonese springs rolls (used to get 4) was sent 1 giant one and it was just packed with bean sprouts. Beef chow mein was just packed with veg and barely and noodles. Salt & pepper chicken was so salty it wasn’t edible. Absolutely waste of money and very disappointing. Also used to get free prawn crackers and didn’t get any. Won’t be using again after this evening, huge shame as this used to be the best Chinese for miles!

Front desk woman Is as rude as anything, she answers the phone as quick as possible to take Ur order and money but her attitude stinks, foods always ok tho. Some customer service training refresher wouldn't go a miss ################## ########### (updated) go back after a year hoping things had changed and the front desk womans attitude is even worse, no please, thank you, goodbye nothing, really makes you not want to spend any money here, shocking customer service skills, not the correct way to work and run a business .....

Good food for a small takeaway restaurant

Usually decent, not tonight though. Tasteless chow mein. Munchie box overwhelmed with chips. Everything over salted with what tastes like sugar at an attempt to counteract the salt. Pretty much inedible. Overpriced. Bined

£50 for a food order and the delivery wont even get out of his car and bring it to door. This is not just eat, and i dont think they have ever heard of data protection as they are giving out our telephone number to the drives, and when we asked the woman in the shop she just becomes rude. will never go here again

Amazing food and good value. First time we've tried it, after being recommended by a friend. We weren't disappointed

Food was cold and no nice flavour

Food was incredible, great portion sizes with loads of sauce. Even got a free portion of crackers and spring rolls. Delivery was slightly over what they said but 100% worth it. Will definitely be ordering again!

Iv used this place for years. Once again it was cold when it arrived! Called 15 minutes after it opened, waited 1.5hrs for delivery only for it to turn up cold. This is not the first time and when you complain the service is terrible and they hold no responsibility at all. It’s really gone down hill and it’s the final straw for me. Expensive cold food

Food is always good here ,but it's a while since I've been here ,made to stop halfway through your order for telephone orders can be taken is a tiny bit rude to say the least.. passed change with no eye contact not very inviting. I never carry cash these days as most places take card, perhaps a card reader will make things easier??

Food always spot on, but time it takes for delivery is really poor, get told how long when ordering, but time us never met. Ordered today and took 2hrs to deliver the order.

Always delicious food ..they tell you how long your order will be so you can time your collection

Poor service, waited an hour and half before calling to chase. To be told we’ll try get it out within 15 mins, bearing in mind we were told initially it would only be an hour. Rude staff, won’t be calling them again.

Enjoyed every bit of our meal. Best Chinese food around.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area

By far the best Chinese around the meat is always so tasty and tender!

2 hours for food to arrive when we only live 3mins away phoned at 8:30 arrived at 10:20 😂😂 joke shop

Phoned order in and told to collect in half an hour. Turned up after 30 mins & it wasn't ready. 20 minutes later, still not ready. Very poor. Gave up in the end. Won't be back.

Normally have a good experience but definately wont be ordering from here again! only received half our set meal and when we rang up the customer service was appauling, the lady on the phone could only be described as rude!

Food is always brilliant but the woman on the phone is so rude ! Not once but three times she has been ridiculously rude on the phone. Good job the food makes up for it👍

I thought I'd give this takeaway a second chance, after the first ever order I requested arrived half emptied in the carrier bag the driver brought. Sauce everywhere! So, we order again, and the lady on the phone seems like she don't want to be there. The delivery takes 1hr and 25mins to arrive to an address within 1½ mile. The food appeared to be double cooked. Chicken breast was hard, meat had gone brown, and was evidently fried twice!!? All vegetables couldn't have been blanched before cooking as they were hard. Curry was like dishwater, and the chips were cold. I don't recommend this ghastly place, especially as there are two other chinese takeaways in close proximity that are loads better in quality, customer service, and no slack delivery waiting times. Avoid at all costs! All the five star comments are from drunks and people who generally eat frozen processed foods because they couldn't cook a decent meal if they tried.

Found a hair in my food when opened the container

Salt and pepper combo B paid 9.50 for batter. Everything was coated in thick batter also Filled the boxes with onion rings and just couple of scraps of meat with thick batter. Chicken chow main the meat was slime like texture. Curry sauce was nice but will not order again

Food is always perfection.. when we moved we tried about 30 different Chinese's none of them was to our liking then a friend recommended trying this place and we fell in love wait time can sometimes be a little too long but the food certainly makes up for it

Fabulous chinese takeaway. In my opinion its the best around Leeds. Fast friendly service. The menu is far better than any other for miles around. In fact id go so far as to say its the best chinese takeaway ive ever been to. They have tofu on the menu and vegetarian chicken or beef. As my wife is veggie this really helps as she is sick of only veggie option being mixed veg at other takeaways we have visited. The menu is vast so plenty to choose from whatever your taste. We travel from near Leeds White Rose Centre to come here its that good. Very highly recommended.

Wasn't impressed with the sweet and sour chicken in batter was over cooked and hard batter the chicken inside was very dry as well

Possibly the worst I have had, 1hr 10 mins mid week to arrive (Glad they weren’t busy), Fooyoung chicken was hard, the onion rings I couldn’t even bring myself to try!! Cold, hard, soggy in the middle with raw batter wrapped around the onion, they didn’t even look right, should be light n crispy surly!!??!. Safe to say I’ll find a Chippy next time my regular takeaway is closed..🤬🤬

Not right good quality I got a special curry and rice and was up all night with indigestion.

I got some food from capitail last night then early hours of this morning got rushed to lgi with food posing am not happy one bit and will not be ordering from these again

Absolutely delicious ordered salt and pepper ribs .. chilli and garlic chicken with soft noodles.. delivery took an hour but we did order at 6.30pm which is peak time which is ok

First time here. We make the effort to drive to a different takeaway each time whether it be Chinese, Italian or Indian. Came here based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed. We got the Set Meal for 2 (B) with chips, and salt and pepper chicken between 2 adults and 2 kids. We were stuffed. The portions are way bigger than you'd expect. We ate well for under £25 all in. A bit more than we would normally like to pay but half the cost than eating out.

It's nice. I had to take a picture of the full board menu as sometimes it's good for people to know what they're selling.
