Cakes N' Desserts in Castle Point

Really disappointed, I ordered cakes to be delivered on Friday for my accountant but they didn’t arrive . After rescheduling them for Monday got a call from them to say they hadn’t arrived again . Very embarrassing, I wouldn’t recommend this company . I just hope that when they finally get the cakes they’re good .

First time order from this place and it didn’t disappoint! We enjoyed everything we had just a little bit pricy for what it is

The deserts are amazing always lovely and hot and plenty of it.

Ordered from here a few times through Just Eat. Always been great cakes and cookie dough, brilliant!!

Ordered at 8 o'clock at 9:30 still no show. Called to enquire & there was clearly a language barrier. Went to collect at 10 as they didn't understand refund, as every time I asked the phone line went dead. The food itself isn't really worth what it's charged. The milkshakes were like flavoured milk with chocolate shavings. The strawberry sundae, was just sorbet & cheesecake. The Biscoff waffle had 2 broken biscuits on it and a few crumbs - will not be ordering again!!

Can’t advise on quality for this order as food was never delivered! Tried to call restaurant but they didn’t answer. Why on earth would the order be accepted if they had no intention of delivering?!?!

I still haven’t received my food, I called up and he said 15 minutes 20 minutes ago

I ordered the Oreo waffle and bueno waffle. Me and my other half enjoyed it so much and it was so lovely and warm. I will definitely order from there again!!

Order at 8pm and arrived 10pm, 2 waffles was all that we ordered. Arrived cold.

Disappointed with the order this time as it’s been fine before but waited 2hours only for the waffle to be wrong, the cheesecake still frozen and no fruit tart available (which took an hour & fifteen minutes for them to call us about). Probably won’t order again as it’s not cheap for what you get.

Waited 1 hour from when we ordered to receiving it. Unfortunately i wouldnt order again. Waffles were small ish, and presentation and taste definitely wasnt “premium” or worth the money, icecream seemed like it was half a scoop of walls container icecream, and it all left a horrible taste in our mouths. Sorry.

Dreadful - wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Milkshake was warm undrinkable . Ice cream melted . Cookie dough was burnt . Food was 1 hour late tried contacting the restaurant multiple times and they didn’t answer

over an hour late, asked driver to ring when they arrived but they didn't and woke up my family, wrong food items, no strawberry tart.

Food was 40 mins late, ordered a milkshake, oreo cake slice and cheesecake. Milkshake was okay but very runny and sweet. the oreo cake was awful, tasted like it was gone off and out of date and the cheesecake wasn’t too bad. Couldn’t eat any of it

Ordered at 5pm, stated 5:45pm delivery. Didn’t end up arriving until 7:30pm and that was after ringing to find out where the order was! Shame as the food was nice when it eventually did arrive.

Over an hour late. Said they delivered it but they didn’t and turned up hour late it’s shame I order from here twice. Very nice dessert but they could’ve been honest about the late period. I rang them and said 10 minutes then continued to wait over an hour …

Ordered on Uber Eats Management didn’t adequately deal with my queries and were vague about how long my order would be.m when I had to phone. I was told on two occasions 45 minutes apart after already waiting for 45 minutes that the order was ‘on the way’ and when the staff member in the shop called to see where the driver was he just said ‘on the way’. Amazingly my ice cream that had been in transit for an hour was fresh and brand new! Dont rate the biscoff cookie at all. No partial refund given when asked for the manager just said he ‘couldn’t hear me’ on the phone and kept saying the driver is on the way. Can’t believe they couldn’t refund the cost of the delivery as a goodwill gesture will never use again now.

Very impressed, the food came quickly and tasted delicious. I ordered a small cookie dough and there was enough for my husband, daughter and I to share.

The restaurant does not provide order updates on request. When you place orders the restaurant will pick up the phone provide verbal updates. The delivery times are more than double what is quoted, if you ever receive your order.

Ordered at 9pm and got to 10:30 and still didn’t arrive, called the place they never answered and it didn’t come at all in the end, avoid this place

Order can over an hour after delivery time and therefore the food was hardly warm and the ice cream was melting

Took 2 hours to come then was cold

2 hours. And the food never turned up. Terrible

The food from here was absolutely delicious and definitely will be ordering again

We ordered both the Oreo cookie dough & Lotus cookie dough w icecream which arrived hot and were really nice. We also got the chocolate brick which we also enjoyed.

Ordered x2 large lotus biscoff cookie doughs and came with a free brownie brick. Food was really good maybe just some more thickness in the cookie dough but overall good food and quick service! Portions size was best part for the money. Would recommend and will return!

Ordered at 7pm, been waiting until 9pm, called shop and said it'd only be 15 mins, have not received anything at all! AVOID PLACE!!! HAVE TO WAIT FOR FULL REFUND!!

The banana loaf was light moist and delicious, the cheesecake was also very tasty but the lemon loaf is inedible. I’m not sure how old it was but it is rock hard can’t even dig a fork in it and the £6+ milkshake was a bit of a disappointment.

Waited an hour for two milkshakes and some cookie dough, for the milkshakes to arrive with no straws. Milkshake and cookie dough was lovely, but waiting so long you'd expect straws.

The food was fine but the delivery time was abysmal. We waited over an hour and a half! Delivery time said 35-45 while doing the check out and then went to an hour as soon as payment went though. However, in this time, for new orders it was still saying 35 mins. We got our food after an hour and a half with no updates or apology from the restaurant. They did not pick up the phone when we tried to call them either. Would not order again!

Fantastic! Perfect for when I was too unwell to make my partner a birthday cake but cakes n desserts saved the day with a perfect chocolate cake for him! Thank you so much he loved it! Highly recommend

Not much like dough at all, not hot and the chocolate sauce had sunken into the dough rather than resting on the surface. Disappointed - and the tiniest pot of ice-cream for a large cookie dough. Shan’t be buying from here again sadly.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! Waited nearly 2 hours for my food. Placed my order at 9:10pm, at 9:52pm the restaurant called me, some of my order wasn’t available and did I want a tart instead, I agreed thinking they was clearly sorting my order. At 10:26pm I called them to find out how long, to be told ‘we’re too busy, driver is on his way already’ 20 minutes later and still no food, so I rang again to be told ‘too busy, driver is slow’ when it eventually arrived at 10:52pm, the bueno was stale!

Worth the wait - they make the full cakes to order and the lotus biscotti one was so light and fluffy … will be ordering again! Please keep up the good work

Quality wasn’t great and extremely late

Said it was delivered but it hasn’t arrived until 10 minutes later. Driver was about to leave with my order until I went downstairs to the bottom of mg flat building to collect it from his car.

Happened to taste one of their scrumptious cakes at one of my friend’s birthday party and I couldn’t hold myself back from ordering from one for myself! Extremely fresh and delicious?and with the right amount of sweetness … just love it the way it is!! It takes me back to the delicious pastries I used to have back in India!! The chocolate cake tasted really sour like it was out of date!

First time ordering, everything was perfect, all food came hot, each had its own side of sauces/ice creams. Good delivery time very fresh. Especially loved the lemon meringue! The cookie dough was huge! Will definitely order again :) thank you!

I have been ordering from Cakes N Deserts for over 2 years now and I have absolutely loved every bite of every cake I have ever requested by order. They make the melt in the mouth cakes which are eggless. Gulab jamun, Rasmalai, Mango, Oreo cakes tastes amazing. Really recommend Cakes N Dessers

Cake is the only decent thing they do. Cookie dough is completely inedible, it’s basically crispy & burnt sugar and can’t really be called a cookie dough. Lemon loaf was SO DRY and the chocolate chip cookies just tasted of and had the texture of granulated sugar.

The cake was lovely and delecious, the decorations was exactly what I asked for. Went well with the theme and our guests loved it. Thank you Cakes N Deserts, and I highly recommend them for delicious and custom cakes

Great desserts at a really reasonable price! The only downside is the single use cutlery they seem to provide with every order. It would be much better if they provide this only if requested.

I just loved the taste somehow the delivery was late but it was worth waiting. Hope to order again .
