I had walked past Cairngorm Coffee a few times before, and today decided to stop in and buy a coffee. After paying for my coffee I looked up to thank my server, and caught her mid-eye roll at me. I have no idea what I did to deserve that. When I was waiting for my coffee I noticed several flies in the food preparation area, and had I noticed earlier I would have walked out without buying anything. The coffee was okay, but there are several cafes in Edinburgh producing far better coffee for 25% less and with well-mannered staff.

Poor Ordered 2 each croissants and coffee. No butter etc, croissants are dry and long gone before we eventually got our coffees - which were not good and certainly not worth the wait. Service, diabolical is the best I can give. Won't be back here.

Stinking attitude from staff member. Stinking teapot, dirty and broken, stinking table not seen a cloth all day. Smells like Cairngorm Coffee are riding on the type of success that doesn't need customers anymore. Absolute nonsense service, totally obnoxious staff member losing her cool cos I asked her something twice. Talking down to us like we were infants in the mighty Cairngorm Coffee Shop...get a grip! Over marketed tinsel show! Learn to wipe a table and wash your dishes!!

Ok - I cannot complain about the coffee itself - choice of espressos and served hot along with water - perfect. But slow service - few places to sit and then only cakes on offer. What happened to all the food options that made this place special. No melted cheese sandwiches for starters! his is what made Cairngorm stand out and a destination for coffee... now - I may go if I need a fix and I am in the close vicinity - optherwise I'll look elsewhere. Shame. As said in other reviews - I do wonder if this is COVID enforced changes - but almost every place I have been recently is severely lacking. We all understand the pressures - but paying the same price for 50% of the service/product doesn't make anyone feel good.

Pity as it looks good from outside. Busy inside and was fine to share a table but due to the number of customers the service was slow. Coffee arrived finally - but was in a tiny cup and luke warm and expensive. Cinnamon bun ok. Hope you don’t need the loo as the stairs are deadly and the one loo dark and pokey. Maybe taking the customers for granted.

We accidentally came upon Cairngorm en route to our hotel. We ordered a hot chocolate and a latte. Espresso macchiato was ordered on a subsequent visit. Cairngorm is usual ok - been a few times and the service has been fairly slow, but today I waited 20 minutes for 2 takeaway flat whites. They made one ruined another and then made me wait 10 minutes while the staff all talked amongst themselves and the already prepared milk got cold. I was late back to work and had a cold coffee . It’s a tiny shop not sure while they need 4 staff? all that seems to happen is they distract each other chatting and you end up waiting forever for your order

Their own take on a club sandwich is decent bread, lots of bacon, chicken, some red onion chutney and garlic olive oil- all toasted. Excellent, and reasonably=priced at £5. I was taken to the Cairngorm Coffee place by my daughter and son-in-law who had assured me that I hadn't tasted coffee like this coffee. - They were right! Rarely do I actually pay attention to the coffee I'm drinking, but this coffee needed serious contemplation at the pleasure it was giving me. The staff are laid back but their service was excellent - great combination for a coffee stop. Funky (if that word is used these days) decor and obviously a popular place. One thing that I really admired is that they have a 'disloyalty card' - in consortium with a few other 'independents', it encourages you to go to those others for a coffee and a 'stamp'. When your card is full, you take it to the independent you preferred for your free cup of coffee. I like this kind of initiative and it describes perfectly the places and staff.

El personal experimentado es excelente. Shirley & Malcolm son estrellas. También es posible reservar mesas. Como está justo enfrente del restaurante chino Kwok, es muy conveniente. Un gran pub local.
