We happened upon this caffi in the centre of Caernarfon by chance. It is based in the new Air Ambulance shop, which is spacious, and full 0f really good furniture and smaller items. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and we were delighted to see a cafe, changing room, and toilets for customer use. Two lovely ladies carefully served us an excellent hot chocolate and a cappuccino decaf with soya milk. We saw some tasty looking filled rolls and a wide selection of delicious looking cakes. The place was spotlessly clean and welcoming. We will definitely return.

Amazing afternoon tea for my baby shower, everybody's dietary requirements were catered for and plenty of choice! Taryn the chef also made us a huge lemon meringue cake which everyone devoured and even after going back for seconds and thirds we still had a quarter left to freeze. Would definetly recommend for any occasion.

Called today for a cuppa and a cake. Sun was shining and we were lucky enough to get a table outside although there is space to put picnic blankets on the grassy area if the tables are all full. Had some hot drinks, a selection of cakes and a homemade scotch egg between us, all of which were lovely. And very reasonably priced. Would definitely call again 😊

I met a group of friends at the airport as two pf us was going on a pleasure flight. We decided to grab a bite to eat while we waited. The choices is very limited but again it is run by a charity and i assume staff are volunteers. Although a bit expensive for what you got it was fairly tasty. The service left a little to be desired to be honest. We got served by two older ladies, without being rude it looked like they had lost their ambition and it was time to retire. But the real selling point of this place it the location and view. It was amazing. All in all a decent experience.

We stumbled across Hems Cafe during a rainy visit to the the nearby aviation museum and were really pleased with the quality of our lunch. Hems serves homely food done very well. Having been flying into Caernarfon for many years usually with the main purpose being to eat at Cafe Hems I was laid up with a medical condition that prevented me visiting for most of Summer 18. When in early September my wife and I finally flew in looking forward to lunch we were very disappointed to find that despite the cafe being quiet we had to wait forty five minutes to get two breakfast sandwiches served.

Was really looking forward to coming here, but left almost immediately. There was very little choice, no one who knew how to use the milk shake machine (which was one of the reasons we went!). It was interesting watching the comings and goings of the light aircraft and helicopters. The owners were happy to let one of our party work here all one morning as there was insufficient internet signal for her where we were staying. They provided a lovely and reasonably priced lunch for us too, despite having electrical problems that day, and all with a smile. All profits from the cafe help to support the Air Ambulance.

While we were waiting for our food a other customer had left and it took the staff over 20 minutes to clear the table even thou members of staff had walked past it several times. Calling it a cafe does not do it justice as it serves really well presented food and has a varied menu. I only had a bacon roll but had to get off the ground again after it! The cakes looked stunning! Clearly people who are not aviators go here to enjoy the sights and sounds of a great busy little airport. Good seating outside - dogs allowed on leads. Children will love it. Plenty of parking if you come by car. Aviation museum on site too. This is a great place - it does get busy but go for a walk on the stunning beach and then drop in for a drink and a bite to eat. Good to hear lots of Welsh spoken too!

My husband and I came here for lunch recently and were quite disappointed as it appears to be under new ownership. It seems to be run by the Welsh ambulance service as a means of raising funds, which is a good thing. However the quality of the food has suffered I believe. I had scrambled eggs on toast and the bread wasn't anything special just sliced bread that you get at a supermarket and over cooked eggs. We both agreed that we wouldn't come to this cafe again. It's easy to get to and park, just doesn't appeal to us anymore.

The food is made by the staff/owner and it shows in quality. Everything I have tried has been very tasty. Now I go there 2 times a week to buy their delicious bread and usually end up having a cake as well. The owners work very hard and they deserve to be thanked. Hope they are going to be very successful in the years ahead. I would particularly recommend the seeded loaf.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.
