We are lunch here, I had the seafood linguine and my husband had a pizza and fries, great service and food

Loved every single bit of this meal, the venue on the large square on the top of the village gave a fantastic view of Portmeirion, food was nice, service was good. Price reasonable.

Had a very pleasant lunch at Caffi Glas. The ambience at Portmeirion & staff service were top notch. Our waiter was Mohammad & he was very helpful & advised us well on the menu

Stopped here for some food and drinks sat in shade as hot day but busy with people to be served i think most people including myself never knew there was seating inside just round corner, i only found out as i asked where toilets are need better signage as quite a few wouldn’t wait in Que,service very good and food nice though pizza a bit greasy and prices are expensive.very limited menu.

Lovely spot outside. The coffee was Lavazza coffee. It was pretty poor. It would have been better to get a local freshly roasted coffee. I had the seafood linguine for lunch. It was the most expensive dish on the menu. The seafood itself was only ok a few prawns, some calamari, and some mussels, and mostly from frozen. The pasta itself was pretty low grade and the sauce was completely split. I wouldn’t go again and I wouldn’t recommend. To top it off they added a ‘discretionary service charge’ to the bill without asking. No one at our table was happy with their meal.

What a lovely place to eat. Excellent food. Best Seafood Linguine I have ever had, and I have had a lot of them. The price so reasonable for such superb food. Great service especially by Cai Williams, lovely young man, so pleasant, helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him. He knows his job and is a real people person, thank you Cai, a pleasure to have met you.

We ate well there. Unfortunately the service lacked responsiveness, we were not able to have dessert because we waited too long to be cleared. Few tables so it's better to arrive early.

Disappointing experience at this restaurant. Placed our order with the server and waited for an hour. We understood the restaurant was busy however, we watched others who came after us receive their meal. We finally asked about our meal to find out he never put in the order and was told we would have to wait another 20 minutes for our meal and as compensation we would get a “drink on the house”. Extremely disappointing service. We left and went to another restaurant nearby called Caffir Ddraig Aur, thankfully they were able to provide fast and efficient service despite being busy.

A pleasant meal with lovely service. The cafe is pretty small with about 10 tables. We both ordered pasta dishes which were warm and fresh. Nothing to complain about but not the best either. The sauce was a little sweet and the penne was not the best quality. Big portions so not crazily overpriced at £15 a dish. It was perfectly enjoyable on a wet day.

Really nice food and atmosphere! Had to wait a bit for a table, but it was bank holiday weekend and it’s a popular place. All the food was delicious and there’s something on the menu for everyone. Staff were friendly and it was a relaxed dining experience. If I could eat there our entire holiday, I would!

Very decent pizzas, an astonishing setting ✌️

Apparently it's acceptable for the chef (appeared to be the one in charge) to vape while cooking? It's an open kitchen... I'm pretty sure if I took a vape out at the table I'd be told to go outside. I'd expect the person making my food to not be stood with a pan in one hand, and a vape in the other.

Discovered this little café tucked away behind an archway in a corner of the village while on a very enjoyable day trip. The outside tables, in a lovely setting overlooking the piazza, were very busy, so I had my lunch inside. The interior of the café is small, no frills but clean and comfortable, with clean toilets at the back. Very pleasant and hardworking young staff. You pay for your meal at the bar when ordering, and it is brought to your table. I found the service very quick. The menu offered a good selection of homemade Italian dishes including pasta, pizzas and platters, plus a children's menu. Ordered a salad with grilled chicken, bacon, mixed leaves, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese and croutons in a tangy dressing, with some bread and butter as an extra. The food was good quality and well presented, very fresh salad ingredients and big portions. There's a wide choice of wines, beer, cider and soft drinks, but oddly they were not serving coffee or tea even though they were on the menu. Overall a satisfying lunch, but at £20.90 for the meal and a cider, it was expensive.

The pizzas were very nice but they were so small it was more like a starter (3 pizzas -£40.00). We took take away as it was full inside. We were absolutely starving after it and had to go to Street Food to get a proper meal. I would recommend Street Food instead that does proper size portions for good price. There are seats outside with umbrellas that were never open to protect the seats getting wet from the rain. They were therefore turning lots of people away, as they could not accommodate them. Have they opened the big umbrellas outside there would be space to sit for custmers.

Very desappointing for an "italian" restaurant. The pasta was not well cooked, the souce would had no flavour if it wasnt for the chilly. The chicken was cut too big and tasteless. We were five people and three ordered the Peppers, spicy chicken, Italian sausage. Pasta. Penne al'arrabiata. We all could not finish dish. I do not recommend. The staff I believe to be new and untrained.

Arrived with 2 very hungry boys who were a little fussy and noisy. Staff were great. Served us very quickly. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and didn’t make us feel we were being a bother which can be hard when your hands are full! Thank you for rounding off our lovely day out. It always makes a huge difference when a meal eaten out goes a little more smoothly with toddler in tow!

Had a bad experience with food and service . £12 for a small size pizza is such a shame and not very tasteful as well , we ordered pasta too which tasted underwhelming as well and also paid £12 for pasta , we asked for extra plates and the waiter never brought it to our table and started serving other guests . Then we had to ask for cutlery as well , they should have brought it with the food. Don’t recommend it at all

My wife and I had lunch here,the whole experience was just excellent! My wife had the seafood linguine which superb! I had the homemade pizza which was just excellent. The place was very busy but the service was very prompt...well done!

Food mediocre , service ok . Service from kids apart from 1 efficient mature server . Don’t serve nuggets if you state goujons, don’t serve sub standard pizza for £15 the size if a side plate !No table service, but expect 10 % service charge payable before you even get your food . Come on owners , sort it out now because when the winter months come by , things will be very very tough indeed . You have a great concept here it just needs tweeking quite a few ways though first before this place can move forward .

Very disorganised chaos . Found a seat outside but then had to go into anther part of the restaurant to order the food . So no table service ! Just as well tbh as i think the eldest youngster on duty was probably 18. There was 1 mature waitress on duty who took my order and bought the food as stated around 30 minutes later . She was very efficient. This place could be an absolute goldmine . The chicken goujons were in fact cheap nuggets and the pizza Diavola was the smallest pizza I have ever seen for £15 . My Italian wife just laughed and nearly fell off her chair . £62 for mediocre food is not good here guys and 10% added service charge is a cheap shot at subsidising wages . Naughty !!

Overall it’s very expensive which isn’t backed up by the quality of the food. If the quality was close to matching the price I wouldn’t be writing this review. We both had calamari as a starter and it was tasty but you would expect it to be for the price or even better. Then we had pizzas for our main which were on pre-made small bases with some toppings thrown on. For £15+ each I expected a minimum standard of a home made pizza and decent size. It reminded me of a Dr Oetker pizza and even tasted like one. Apart from the food and price the service was awesome and prompt. The highlight of my meal was the cappuccino which was perfection.

Pizza not so bad (in Wales). Not too expensive, even if we are far from Neapolitan pizza dough. A little trip to Naples for chefs would be a good investment 🤪

A great addition to Portmeirion village, which is an absolutely magical place that once you visit will stay in your heart forever! The Caffe has good selection of different very well prepared dishes for everyone, including kids. Excellent service and very quick delivery of food to your table. We were very happy with our choice and can't recommend it enough!

The food was nice but service very poor waited long time to get served and had to ask ,she took the money first which we didn’t mind but found it odd because table next to us didn’t pay till end so we actually didn’t order any more food and was wise because was a problem with wasps everywhere so didn’t want to hang around long

Absolutely beautiful setting for simple, decently-priced food. Pizza was delicious! Very good service from these hard workers. Sitting outside in the sun is recommended although there is indoor seating.

Last time here, our meals were awful, and I wrote a truthful review. This time food was much better, service was brisk and we had no complaints. My meal was enjoyable and my partner's spagbol was ok, if a bit too sweet. As the name 'Cafe' implies, it's not a 5* Restaurant, so it should be judged at that level. Thus, the food was ok, as was the service, but the dim, cramped surroundings don't entice one in!

Very hot day, so wanted to eat indoors to escape from heat, but it was closed! Long queue to eat outdoors, with many still in full sun, so left. Not impressed.

I haven’t been there but I am planning to. I am a bit concerned about the reviews if the staff is racist I don’t want to come and ruin my day, any other customers noticed racism?

The starters were delicious, same as pizza, although, the pizza was very small, more like a kids size. The mains (pasta) weren’t nice… eatable, but not very nice… They rushed us, not even started to eat the starters, and they wanted to bring us the mains. I understand they had a big queue, but the inside tables aren’t used… They also asked us to pay before they brought the food. It was a full table service, so we felt like they were expecting us to run without paying. That’s why we decided not to leave any tip… we usually like to tip people serving us food, according to the service, and how tasty the food is, of course, you can’t do that if they come to ask payment before.

We cannot praise this restaurant highly enough. The food ( seafood platters) was beautifully presented by highly motivated, efficient and attentive staff. The food was fresh and good quality, the baked bread was particularly delicious when dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The quantities were generous and reasonably priced. A great experience

Fabulous place to sit and watch the people go by. Food was delicious and the staff excellent given the heat they were working in! The pizzas are amazing more than enough for lunch and the food the rest of us had was tasty and the portions huge! Totally understand why we had to pay first... as there was a huge queue and I imagine revenue can get lost. Totally recommend.

Pizza's were frozen, not fresh but being charged £11. We get fresh made ones for that price and twice the size and taste 10x better. My daughters paster for £8.50 was terrible. Soggy pasta with a terrible bland sauce from a cheap jar. No basil or cheese. £50 plus for 3 pizzas, kids pasta and 4 small drinks. I would not recommend to anybody.

Just reached here (table 10) after reading good comments but unfortunately let down by the person taking order. First of all, he was not coming to take order when spoke to another staff, he finally came and display an extremely unprofessional behaviour and ruined the lunch. Thanks for making our day! Not recommend at all!

Very very rude waiter , was completely racist . Was not coming to take my order and when asked then he came and stood silently, didn’t even say “hello” or “what’s your order “ . Came with the bill and just kept it on table . What a shame to have this rude staff in this beautiful place.

Catastrophic...I didn't realise I had the ability to become invisible, until we were left for 15 minutes waiting for a table without acknowledgement. Regrettably that wasn't enough to put us off so we sat down; things only got worse. Worst pizza I've ever eaten, soft, thin and wet base, but somehow a crust tougher than the earth's core, and a devastating lack of cheese. Pasta was better, but the bar was only ankle high. Give this place a miss and get the street food down the road.

Service from Charlotte was incredible. She really went out of her way. I'd had a horrible day and she really put a smile on my face. The rest of the team were all lovely as well.

Had a disappointing lunch here recently. It was a beautiful sunny day, and we sat outside. They were busy and we were warned that there would be a wait for our food, so were surprised when it came quite quickly. However, it was not quite as good as expected. Should have been king prawns, in a creamy garlic and chilly sauce on toasted Italian bread. The prawns were plump and juicy, but the sauce was little more than butter and paprika and the bread was rock hard toasted sourdough. We did complain, and more bread and butter was supplied. The staff were pleasant, overworked and helpful, but it wasn't a good experience.

We visited here almost by accident as we were looking for a snack and ended up having a nice lunch there! Good choice, good quality and you can watch them prepare the food (with real care). We had a mix of pizza and pastas (lamb, fish platter). Nicky was friendly and fun so we would like to shout out to him. All staff were friendly, smiling and the service was excellent.

We sat inside, the atmosphere was ok, the food was very basic (fast food, don't expect quality of a restaurant - yet it is a café). The service was good with friendly staff.

Tasty food, both pizza and lamb ragu pasta of decent quality and reasonable (but not generous) portion sizes for lunch. Slightly expensive.

We had a really lovely lunch here. Chaitanya served us and was extremely polite and attentive. The food was delicious, we found the portions to be a good size for the price so found it value for money. The creamy garlic and chilli prawn toast was incredible, definitely recommend it. Apologies the photos are with some food eaten already, it looked so good we dived right in before I took the pics! One thing I missed photographing the lemon tiramisu cheesecake which was fantastic and highly recommended!

Well what a surprise ! This is a little gem in the heart of portmerion village. We have visited twice now and will be back before we finish our stay here. The food we were served far exceeded our expectations for what appeared to be a quite modest cafe. The food was all fresh, freshly prepared and delicious. Recommend the Aranchini and the lamb tagliatelle!! Oh and the Tuscan bean stew. CHAY was very welcoming and all the staff were excellent service was efficient and friendly. Well worth a visit when your in portmerion.

An absolutely amazing meal, it was like being back in Italy you must try it out. And then to add to this the service was also fabulous with Chaitanya and Helen waiting the table for us. We will definitely return to this special restaurant.

The staff are lovely and whoever previous reviews mention are no longer here. Chay served us regularly and others were just as helpful and friendly. The food is really amazing. Best breakfast, pizzas, desserts I’ve had for a while. Cooked to perfection. Thank you to all of the staff.

Excellent snack... very attentive waiter

Great service by all but especially Chay! He really made us feel welcome and couldn't do more for our toddler and my wheelchair user dad. We had coffees, teas, bacon ciabattas, avocado/ roasted tomatoes on sourdough toast for brunch. Then after a walk around Portmerion we went back for more coffees and pizza/fries Al fresco. Really nice and good value for money! Thanks to all the team.

Chaitanya was incredible during our visit here, so very helpful and lovely every time we spoke to him! The food was beautiful and we highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit!

Order pizza for £14 expensive for a medium pizza. No forks, knifes or napkins. No soup either. Shame could have been a very nice place.

Dość spory czas oczekiwania na stolik, stąd też chef zaproponował mi możliwość zamówienia pizzy na wynos, jako że byliśmy bardzo głodni po dlugim spacerze zdecydowaliśmy się, tym bardziej że wiele stolików kawowych na zewnątrz było wolnych tam jednak obsługa dostarcza jedynie napoje. Pizze wymiarów talerza obiadowego były gotowe po 15 minutach. Bardzo dobre w smaku typowo włoskie smaki bardzo dobra jakość produktów.

Asked to wait while they cleaned the table, left waiting even after it was cleaned while staff seemed to be having words with each other. Finally got seated. Staff disappeared came back disappeared sorted out the people waiting to sit down we were still waiting for our order to be taken, 10 minutes or more after we got our table a member of staff took the order from the last people yo be given a table then no staff again and as we got up to leave a member of staff saw us getting up to leave and turned around and went back inside. Bumped into staff who sat us at the table and asked why he served the last people to be seated 10 minutes after us and he didn't respond. Went to see the manager who asked which staff and got what really felt like a basic apology of someone not interested. Spoilt the last part of our afternoon and if I go back again I would not go back to this caffi.

Was shown a seat with some friends, and told we are only serving drinks and cakes. Which was satisfactory as that was what we required. We waited about 12 minutes to have our order taken, during whilst this time other people were seated, those other people arriving after us were being served first. We complained to a manger to be told give me a chance to respond and will speak to staff., with a heartless apology. The whole experience at this restaurant was appalling. Basic servery is knowing order of customers attending and taking orders. If you have a lot of time to spare, and want poor service, then this is what you get. :(

Walking up though Portmeirion, stopped off at the cafe for a take away coffee. Only 1 size coffee!, and that was relatively small. Friendly staff.

Lovelyu ice creans served here ... but they do sell out of certain flavours depending on time of day so get in early if you have a certain favourite !

Very rude staff especially Steve who clearly didn’t want people in the restaurant. It was full and people were patiently waiting at the entrance when he said you’ll all have to wait outside in the pouring rain because we don’t want you standing in here waiting. Totally unprofessional and said the same to a family behind us. He was very rude and should learn some manners working in hospitality. Don’t bother going, and go to one of the much nicer cafes in the village. Steve let’s portmeirion down!!!

Total rip off. £14.50 for a tiny bowl of pasta. Food came really quickly but was only luke warm. Service slow. Great views of the village. Pizzas are tiny too. This place used to be great but is now quite disappointing.

Bit of a limited menu but the options are delicious, with some really gorgeous desserts and the best views of the village; was also open later than the other restaurants. Staff were friendly and happy, and the place was clean and very pleasant. My only issue is that it is pricey, but then, it is Portmeirion!

With social distancing, no one observed it in the queue and they were only allowing 3 in and the queue was so slow to go down. Staff inside disorganised. They served one person at a time whereas they could have served two, one taking payment...

Visited just out of season in March with my partner. The food was excellent with a large variety available to suit every appetite. It was hard to decide on what to have! The price was reasonable for the tourist environment and all staff were friendly...

With two teenage boys in tow, we were always going to choose the ice cream parlour over any other cafe and so glad we did.Comfy seats, excellent service but best of all delicious ice creams and sorbets that were well priced and even satisfied the boys!

What a lovely little cafe. Very friendly and helpful staff and a wide range of food available from the menu, with a specials board as well. I had the very reasonably priced 'Full Welsh Breakfast ' and my partner had a pizza both of which were very nice. I am sure we will be back there for lunch again today this time with the rest of the family as they missed out yesterday because they arrived later than us.

We had morning coffee and cake and then decided to have lunch here, we were not disappointed food was delicious, our only complaint was that the dishes were cold hence pasta went cold very quickly. Very reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff.

We had panini which were very good and a nice salad. They readily agreed to switch the goat cheese in the salad for smoked salmon. Prices were very reasonable.

This was the only eating place we found that offered a light lunch. We had tea and panini which were excellent. Pleasant outdoor seating area. Speedy and polite service.

IT didn't look like much from the outside, but the menu was spectacular. I had the sardines and it has to be the best version of the fish I have ever had! My wife had a panini that was just as good. The cost was reasonable too.

Absolutely loved this place. I was helped with the menu by the friendly staff and the food was absolutely delicious. Toilets could be kept in a better condition.

We visited over the weekend and sat outside. The service was quick, facilities great, staff were attentive. My only problem was the food itself. I ordered mushroom ravioli which came in a bowl of what tasted like unseasoned,warmed up, dyed double cream. The cream and ravioli had no flavour at all. This was also the case with a carbonara we ordered. I also ordered a small kids pizza and the cheese quality wasn’t great either... overall great service, beautifully presented but flavourless food.

Food was ordered and didn’t take too long to arrive, which is what you want when you’re wanting to keep looking round Portmeirion. When the food arrived it was lovely and so was the presentation!

Relatively high priced for pizza and paninis, drinks were served in a small can I would have liked to have had some ice and lemon in my lemonade. The pizza came quickly not homemade but of average quality.

Came here for some lunch, they had a gluten free menu which is always great for me, so I had pasta bolognese which was lovely, however the pizza that my partner had was a little bit bland though. Quick service though. Lovely staff.

Spotless modern ice cream cafe cunningly enclosed within a vintage Italianate building in the Village.

Whilst visiting Portmeirion we decided to have lunch in here, we were seated immediately. We both chose a small salad mine was goats cheese my friend had mozzarella. Both salads were very good, fresh and although small more than we wanted. We also had a nice glass of rose, it wasn’t cheap but it was very good and the service excellent.

We came here for a meal during our visit to Portmeirion. It was empty so service was speedy and staff were friendly. The four of us had carbonara, lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise and pizza, all were tasty. It's not the cheapest place I've ever eaten but it's the best place in the village for a proper meal.

Superb location and great food at a reasonable price. They now do vegan cheese and the pizzas and bruschetta are delicious and beautifully presented.

Had lunch here earlier today and it was excellent. We were sat at a table where you could watch the chefs preparing every dish and therefore knew that everything was freshly prepared. Not an extensive menu but plenty to please most people who like Italian style food.

My partner used to come to the cafe when he was a child and raves about how amazing this ice cream was and it did not disappoint the ice cream was delicious well worth the money and would def have more. Well worth a visit rain or shine.
