Caffeine in Weymouth and Portland

We had not visited before and won't be returning. We were met by waitress whose first words were: 'Have you booked?' Quickly followed by: 'Do you want food?' We replied: 'possibly.' Food not available, as they had bookings! It would be welcoming if we had been greeted with 'Good Morning', rather than 'Have you booked? We decided to have a coffee and wanted to sit at a particular table, but was told that we had to sit elsewhere, as it was booked. Bearing in mind, they weren't serving food, except to bookings, therefore we weren't going to be long!! The table that we wanted remained vacant through our visit! Attention to detail and polite customer service seriously lacking. Our tables were not clean and I had to ask for them to be wiped. This should be automatic. One table was wiped and the second one, the waitress managed to do a quarte, still leaving mess. Maybe, there is a staff attitude, management and training issue? A shame, as the coffee was good.

Popped in for brunch, excellent coffee, food and service. Normally have a toastie which are so nice but decided on hash stack and my wife had a bacon and egg bagel. Both were so good! The beans with a twist were added bonus. Very well cooked streaky bacon, definitely a new favourite brunch spot!

What a pleasure to have coffee and cake here. Such friendly staff and the doggies were treated to a pup chocolate and biscuit. Lovely atmosphere, good prices and loyalty card. Thank you

Drink was excellent but the waitress was just not interested and quite surly when I came to pay...really liked the vibe but that one waitress spoiled it

We have visited Caffeine regular since first opening.. The last 3/4 visits have been disappointing, rather long waits to be served!! We nearly left as we had waited so long! My Cuppachino has been luke warm each time we visited.. Although it's the best coffee.. The temperature spoils it.. The whole place is looking grubby and tired looking, tables are peeling and the toilets in the ladies also dirty.. And the fact the cubicles are so tiny and the sanitary bins are so close you can't sit without touching them!! 😏 It's very popular but it needs a refresh..

A welcoming arrival ,first impressions was the place is popular. We were advised of some items on the menu unavailable ie turkey, salmon and Brie which were unfortunately an ingredient in most of the menu .. The hash beeny was sumptuous but needed a twist of sour notes as it was overpowering with cheese. Now - what can we say about the shashuka , it was advertised as having butter beans , Mexican beans fried beans with tomato chunks What was served was basically a casserole dish full of baked beans with a small portion of chorizo , fried eggs , half a loaf of bread which had varying degrees of toasting The beers were however were very good! Would we revisit , I’m not sure .

Fabulous venue for my daughter’s 21st Birthday party!! We all had the best night celebrating!! Zoe was the most amazing person to party plan with, she made everything so easy, nothing was too much trouble, every suggestion she made doable and the rest of the staff on the night were all so helpful and welcoming, it really was a perfect night and I can’t thank you or recommend a more wonderful venue, enough!! The extra little touches, the red carpet and the personalised cocktail menu brought a huge smile to my daughter’s face, we really did have an amazing party with lots of memories made!! Thank you all…xxxx

We started our worms Xmas do off here. We booked 2 tables well in advance so they knew we would be coming. Service was a bit slow and we had to wait a while for drinks. They advertised Happy Hour between 5-7pm and we tried to order drinks in this offer but was told they don’t have the staff and trying to set up for another party downstairs but that we could try again at 6pm 🤷🏼‍♀️ when more staff in But they were happy for us to order other cocktails from the menu. Not overly happy so we went else where.

Gorgeous coffee, we tried the new brunch menu. OMG! HASH STACK IS AMAZING! French toast is phenomenal too.. No way to fault this dog friendly place. Maybe book in future.. it was busy. Well Done Caffeine!

Sat down and waited to be served. Was told twice someone would be along to take our order (second time by a rude waitress who snapped at us). After 10 minutes gave up and went elsewhere.

Oh my goodness… I have never eaten from caffeine before but their bagels are unreal! I ordered a streaky bacon with avocado and halloumi and can I just say 10/10. Also we had ordered online and the service was excellent. If anyone wants a nice place to eat with friends I would 100% recommend eating here!

Our return to Weymouth in three years and much has changed. We had parked near the beach so our dog could have a run. It was very blowy and when we came off the beach we were opposite this lovely place. The bonus here is dogs are welcome. We ordered our coffees and food. I had a bagel with fried egg and crispy bacon, my partner had a posh cheese toasty minus the mustard. We were asked if our dog could have a treat, he is food orientated so that was a yes. The coffee was excellent, my bagel was delicious with an abundance of crispy bacon, the cheese toasty was equally good. Our dog enjoyed his treat to. We will certainly visit Caffeine again and recommend this venue to all.

A varied breakfast menu, including bagels. in an excellent location on the beachfront. Very friendly service.

Great location, but avoid at all cost... Having taken a seat, I entered the bar to order some drinks whilst deciding what to eat, there was a very stern looking lady and a child behind the bar glaring at me as if I had just walked into there own living room, having received my drinks and paid I returned to the seating area. I told my wife and we decided we would finish our drinks and find an alternative place to eat. Prior leaving my wife wanted to use the ladies, once again having entered the bar area, and said excuse me the stern looking lady barked one minute and stood at the bar facing my wife continuing to slam drinks together, having waited, my wife then politely informed the lady, her enquiry was only to ask where the ladies were, at which my wife was barked the directions.... This lady needs to remind herself, and her face that to enable this establishment to thrive and survive, you rely on customers. Advice for this lady, if you hate life and your job so much, please find another job, get some counselling, and in the meantime, try a smile and be kind to your customers.... Give it a go, it's not hard.

the BEST coffee I’ve ever had in my life! We all agreed and family and friends have been regulars since, food was incredible as was the service, staff were friendly and it was a brilliant brunch for all of us, yet to have a coffee so amazing

Lovely place! Top quality drinks and brilliant staff. Highly rated! Varied menu and even made us cocktails that weren’t on the menu and allowed them in the 2 for 1 deal!

The food is really tasty and fresh, and the staff are lovely. I definitely want to come back to sample the French toast. Highly recommended.

Excellent bagels here! Great quality bacon, avocado and halloumi. At a very good price. Iced coffee was very refreshing and a good size. Service is personable and efficient - dog friendly too with treats and water available. Really good.

The staff are so friendly, mouth watering lunch menu and the biscoff frappe is amazing! The toastie and bagels are so delicious. I had the pesto, mozzarella, tomato and streaky bacon bagel and it was out of this world! The chocolate orange cake is also...

First time to Caffeine, now Weymouth does not have a good choice of cafes that can make a decent flat white, was pleasantly surprised at this cafe. If you want to try the guest coffees their is no extra charge. Shared a bacon, halloumi bagel,...
