Caffe Nero - City Airport in Newham

Popped in for coffee and croissants whilst waiting to check in at Birmingham Airport. Small crowded area, service was slow and not very cheery and very expensive. We also had to clear our table from the left overs of the previous customer.

Prima di prendere l'aereo per andare via ci siamo fermati in questa attività. Come altri della stessa catena non siamo rimasti delusi.

Café Nero estándar y comida. No tiene nada de malo y la mejor alternativa en el aeropuerto de la ciudad. Fresco por la alta rotación.

Como no había desayuno en los vuelos estos días, pedí una salchicha, huevo y rollo de tocino con café negro. El rollo estaba lo suficientemente sabroso y llenaba un agujero.

El personal muy acogedor y feliz. Comida deliciosa y rápida! Muy contentos con el servicio en general! !

Coffee and croissants were delicious and service quite promt. Just what we needed after flying overnight.

It’s beside the toilets in City Airport so when it’s busy the queue covers the entrance to the loo ....and I just don’t like picking my sandwiches from an open cabinet with the sound of hand dryers going in the background (See photo). Otherwise it’s ok I suppose.

A nice station in the Airport to charge your head with some coffee pulses and your phone with some electrical pulses while waiting your flight

Having come here after being let down by another outlet at the airport I went with the thing that no one can mess up: a ham and cheese toastie. But it was soggy, tasteless and had a piece of bone in it. After the other place, dirty toilets and a very rude guy in security I didn’t have the energy to complain

In aereoporto per mangiare veloce non è male e si può concludere con un espresso molto buono per essere fuori dai confini italiani. Ho provato un panino col tacchino e una birra...qualità accettabile e prezzi in linea. Lodevole l'espresso

Being in a crowded airport, and tempered by a delayed flight, doesn't allow for poor service and indifference by one of the staff members, OK prices in airports are higher than other locations, but should not be still assessed as "Not again".

The London city airport Caffe Nero is a small busy shop, offering good coffee and limited cakes and sandwiches . City Airport does not have a lot of choice, so option s are limited

Paramos aquí una vez que aterrizamos antes de agarrar nuestro coche de alquiler para conducir a Eslovenia. Quería un capuchino para disfrutar en el disco, opté por esto y algunos chocolates.

Lekkere broodjes maar zeer slechte service. Had afgerekend maar creditcard was not approved volgens de dame die ons hielp. Genietend van ons broodje zag ik online dat ik gewoon twee keer betaald had. Met het bewijs ging ik terug maar niks geen service. Ik mocht een nummer in de UK bellen om het terug te krijgen.

We dropped in here recently and as you would expect with cafe Nero it was clean and had all the normal choice on offer and was very comfortable

Llegué en el REINO UNIDO y necesitaba café. Yo soy anti-Starbucks y donde yo vivo tengo escasez de asadores locales para elegir. He oído a la gente compuesta por el Caffe Nero sobre un café y pedimos desde aquí. Me sentí como si estuviera bebiendo agua de carbón aguadas. Todavía no está tan mal como Starbucks.

Siempre he sido un regular en Caffe Nero y recomiendo encarecidamente el café y la comida, pero se sirve de esta mañana en el aeropuerto de la ciudad de Londres fue decepcionante porque (y esto podría ser para mí. . Si tengo el) opción para beber una taza o una taza de papel, elijo el taza cada vez. Especialmente si la bebida es un delicioso café de Caffe Nero. Las tazas estaban ahí detrás del mostrador, al lado de las máquinas de café. . Tan cerca! Así que cuando pedimos, pregunté si podía tomar el café en una taza. El chico que nos dijo: "Esto es comida para llevar". Me dijo, "pero tienes tazas. Que estuvieras allí". Él dijo, "no han esterilizados". Ahora es totalmente posible que se han vuelto tan mimados con buen servicio del Caffe Nero que me pareció que lavar una taza era parte de ese servicio, pero no se acercaba. En otras palabras, si algo no está disponible para los clientes de pago, porque en mostrar? Él también olvidó preguntar si quería chocolate en mi capuchino y me lo dieron de todos modos. No me gusta el chocolate en mi capuchino. El limón, aunque gustaron las magdalena era deliciosa.

Para una escapadita a ir, este es el lugar para conseguir un buen capuchino y algo dulce para comer. La cola era larga, pero el servicio era rápido.

It's the usual fare - coffee need to make sure it is served hot. There's not much else here but you don't tend to spend much time hanging around.

Even at 7 am there was a long queue. The service is slow, there is not enough seating, the tables were dirty.

It is exactly what you would expect from a Cafe Nero. Quality of both food, drink and service all good

Premesso che causa ritardi, dovuta alla nebbia, abbiamo trascorso in questo aeroporto 1 gg intero, per passare il tempo in attesa di ripartire abbiamo fatto colazione in questo bar che si trova nel Terminal 5, le brioche sono buone, il caffè espresso un po' meno, sì perché pur mettendoci tanto impegno rimane un caffè che bevuto in Italia griderebbe vendetta, qui in Inghilterra e' passabile, il locale e' carino e il personale gentile, si può usufruire del wifi, come in tutta la zona aeroportuale.

Una buena opcion para comer unos panninis si no estas con mucho hambre antes de que salga tu vuelo, el servicio en mi caso fue un poco lento para calentar el sandwich que habia elegido pero lo demas esta bien.

Serveuse aimable mais la qualité de repas y est vraiment nulle. Pour commencer j'ai pri un burger a 23 livres mais vraiment mauvais la viande pas bonne du tout, je me suis dit je vais prendre autre chose car j'avais faim, j'ai commandé une salade César a 17 livres le poulet était beaucoup trop sec pas découpé pas beaucoup de salade et le pire la sauce César un goût affreux bref je ne recommande VRAIMENT PAS!!!

Always buying coffee and muffin which is always good. Service however is terrible, not friendly and often making mistakes. Today a Guy that was constantly yawning and was annoyed when people where not standing in the line.

What can you say, early morning flight and the coffee was flowing. Limited choice at this venue anyhow.

Prima personeel met een goede lach. Ze werken snel en hard en geven je de aandacht wat je nodig hebt. De koffie is fantastisch, of je voor een Moccha gaat of een simpele espresso.... smaakt prima. Voldoende keus uit broodjes, warm of koud en andere snacks en zoete dingen.

hier al diverse malen even gewacht op mijn vlucht of een collega van een andere vlucht.het is altijd een drukke bedoeling, maar wel gemoedelijk. de bediening is vriendelijk en snel, producten zijn smaakvol.kortom, gewoon ff gaan zitten als je nog door security moet.

Il bar si trova nella zona partenze del London City Airport. E' un ambiente open space con pochi posti a sedere che non sempre soddisfano le esigenze dei clienti.Il locale serve varie tipologie di caffè e bibiti oltre agli snack.

Nice (but at times) busy place.Ideal place for a quick bite after flying in to London City.Nothing special on the menu, but enough to grab something after flying in.

Not a big Nero fan but not much choice at City - very slow to check in - very slow to get through security - at least Nero was a tad faster with service - well done

Everything seems to fizz at City Airport including Caffe Nero .Thesandwich I had was super fresh & the carrot cake was a dream.

Having checked in, gone through security and re-dressed after xray machine, a up of coffee is welcome. The airport can get very busy so sometimes limited seating. The food and drinks are typical of the brand name.

There are always big queues here, even at 5:30am.The staff are friendly enough and prices are tolerable. It's quite annoying how their contactless card readers never seem to work though.It's useful to have here, but they need to organise themselves better to reduce the queues and speed things up.

Ideal to trot up to Caffe Nero prior to departure for a great coffee & breakfast.At times the Airport was busy & seating was at a premium but this was only a short term phase.

Nog even tijd over op LCY voor een kop koffie met wat erbij. Netjes en zeer vriendelijk geholpen door een attente dame. En de vertrouwde Nederlandse stroopwafels waren lekker vers en vol van smaak. Bovendien bood men meteen het spaarsysteem aan voor regelmatige reizigers. Complimenten!

Was passing through the building site that Is London City Airport. With ongoing work there is very limited accommodation at the airport. What is open in the place is extremely over crowded, so best avoided.My visit to LCY started with a 2 Hours late flight. So to keep the passengers happy all Were treated to a full hot breakfast. Even though it was at 1130 in the morning. That said it avoided trying to have lunch at London City. My nice British Airways person did however assure me that there would be no need to Re-checkin for my connecting flight or the need to re-clear security, as you will be in transit.The easy answer to that information is its out of date. With the ongoing works at the terminal arriving passengers are ejected at the arrivals gate then rejoin the conga line at security for a wait in the over crowded, steaming hot terminal.There is a transit door in arrivals but it is policed by a security guard saying no entry. Go away, re-clear security, then if you can find a seat, which is impossible, wait for a time slot of 30 minutes before departure and try to find the departure gate with the masses.Normally there would be a one way system in use. Where arriving passengers would never see departing passengers and passengers in transit between flights would know the departure gate, use the transfer gate and go the departure gate. Without any need for clearing security again. However not till the building work has been completed.The best advice is avoid the place and give Amsterdam or Paris your business till the builders are finished.Couldn't write this without a mention of the security Hall staff. Over worked and probably underpaid. Who need a course of happy pills before coming to work.

We were served by a very friendly and cheerful member of staff who made our coffee just as we like it. The cafe is clean and there were plenty of tables free when we were there. Unusually for Caffe Nero, the queue moved quickly.

Whilst waiting for our flight on a very busy Monday morning, had coffee and pastries. Not the usual quality which we've had in other Café Neros. Disappointing.

En helaas, na wat gegeten te hebben bij Rhubarb op City Airport, dachten we te kunnen vertrekken. Maar er was iets met het vliegtuig dus twee uur wachten. Bij Caffe Nero nog even wat gebruiken. Vriendelijke mensen, wel altijd erg druk en beperkte zitplaatsen. Voor de snelle reiziger is een statafel prima maar heb je vertraging dan zit je liever. Voldoende keuze in de standaard drankjes, biertjes en versnaperingen.

Questo locale è un tipico degli aeroporti, molto affollato. Brulicante di persone e famigliole che consumano frettolosamente il loro panino e caffè lungo prima di un viaggio. È possibile trovare dei panini freschi anche vegetariani, il caffè è sempre di eguale sapore non bisogna più pensare a quello espresso italiano. Quindi long coffe e via. Una piccola pausa quando si arriva in questo aeroporto è d’obbligo, i prezzi sono molto più alti ma in compenso si trovano molti cibi. Il personale è molto gentile e veloce.

Fab little coffee shop with plenty of seats and great customer service. The lady who served me today was extremely helpful. I asked if they had any gluten free food and she said yes. When I could not find it she came and got it for me. It was a chicken and pesto roll. Totally gluten free. The soya late was also divine. Well worth a visit. Not expensive at all. Thank you

Sem novidades quanto ao cafe, o espaço é pequeno, porém agradável...O atendimento foi muito bom e prestativo, a moça que atendeu estava sempre sorrindo e falava português! :)

It's almost all the time overcrowded. I see a lot of families consuming drinks and foods that they have in their bags. This would indicate that for a minor airport the pricing is overdone. In anticipation the facility attached plates to the tables indicating that own foods and drinks are not allowed to be consumed there. Foods, sandwiched are fresh and fine, coffee is weak, very weak more like brown water with slight coffee smell.

London City Airport is usually teeming with businessmen. They may have the kid of money required to visit the other restaurants at LCY, but us regular souls do not. This coffee place is the only affordable option behind security. Luckily, we have consistently good experiences with this chain of coffee places and they offer a variety of foods and drinks that will keep you alive during your wait.

off the plane from canada, tired and my husband needed to sit to insert the SIM card that he purchased at the airport. i was surprised when he said let's get something as i wanted to get going to our condo. it was a good idea as it slowed us down. i had a delicious falafel and humous wrap and my husband enjoyed his bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. discovered that it is a chain and stopped in a few others while we were in london. i was impressed!

The airport in general has limited space compared to traffic of people traveling throughout it. Service is good and food is as standard as all cafe Nero in all other branches.

We were served by Silviu who was so friendly and helpful. He made the most amazing peppermint hot chocolates for the kids and I had a delicious honey mochaccino. Amazing and very relaxed way to spend the time before our flight

Great bar, fast service, plugs to charge your computer or phone. Nice view ovr the platform. Friendly staff. The British cheese board was very nice.

Cafe Nero is as you would expect of any coffee chain - the same which food and coffee in everyone. Must saw though, staff were very pleasant and efficient.

We had a dinner before leaving London. The food was good and service ok... For us it workout fine with timing of getting the food in time and the flight leaving.

This cafe is on the 'Airside' part of this small airport. We stopped for coffee and a bite to eat. The Brie and Bacon Panini I had was delicious and my wife said her Ham and Cheddar Sandwich was as well. The assistant we had was friendly but sadly could not work out the correct change and had to be advised accordingly.

Un piccolo Caffe Nero all'interno di London City Airport. Sarà che l'aeroporto è già piccolo di suo ma anche questo Caffe Nero è proprio piccolo e la scelta di panini, frutta e simili è proprio scarsa. Un commento sul loro slogan: "The Italian Coffee Company". Italian?

Stopped and ate, hung out! The service was really nice and fast! The lady was smiling and seem to enjoy what she did! Always asked if I was doing ok! Had a nice experience here and will stop again next year when I am in London! Stop by and have a nice cold drink!#idid#lovedit!
