Caffe Nero in Belfast

Service was good along with the coffee had some lovely cakes and the Carmel Shortbread was very tasty as well. Place was busy for late On in the day as well.

Coffee ok, but the toilets were absolutely disgusting. The Environmental Health from the Council need to pay them a visit and give them a warning to clean the place. We will never return. Dirty 🤢

Popped in for coffee and a bite to eat. We chose we 2 different sandwiches and asked for them to be toasted plus 2 lattes. We received our coffees and 5 minutes later a waitress plonked down two plates with what can only be described as a soggy mess. Didn't resemble anything like a toasties. Our coffee was not even hot, shocking standards avoid this place much better local cafes nearby.

Visited on a Sunday evening. Sat in and ordered two teas, a pastry and a tray bake. Had to clean our own table. Other tables were dirty. Counter and coffee machine were dirty too. Pastry was served in a paper bag and when I asked for plate I was told ny the male server I couldn't have one because there weren't enough staff. Very poor service in an unkempt store. I've been a few times before and it's never much better. If you have the time, choose somewhere else. The staff in here really couldn't care less.

Had tea in here while waiting for an bus. Nothing wrong with the food but the toilet facilities were an absolute disgrace. Dirty, no loo roll. Hand soap liquid hanging off the wall. Not good for a food preparation business

Stopped here for brekkie bites before hopping on tour bus to the Giant's Causeway - we opted for toasted chicken & bacon sambo and a ham 'n cheese croisssant with tea and flat white. Very quick service and very tasty food and drinks, which set us up for our trip along the Antrim coast line tour!

Called in for a quick lunch and coffee. Ordered a cappuccino and it was a very poor effort at a cappuccino, more a latte. Seems to be a big variation between staff as to who can and who can't make a cappuccino that is not a latte and that's the fully trained (??) staff. I was in a hurry and having had to queue to order didn't have time to complain and get it remade.

Was in today at 19:00, had a hard day and the staff member was very helpful and made my day. Didn't catch his name but he was bald :D Deserves a raise! ❤

Called in before I started my late shift in work for a coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the English guy with long hair (apologies I didn't get a name) speak to people and serve customers. He goes above and beyond for every single customer and is so so kind and lovely. He is incredible at his job and definitely deserves some recognition. Thank you so much for your hospitality whoever you are!

Belfast seems to be full of coffee shops and we enjoyed visiting some. Nero is certainly good as they offer Soya milk to customers, which is a big bonus to my wife.

I work nearby and would be in here quite a lot. I have to say the staff are impressive given how busy this place can get. All of the current staff are very good, but in particular is the lady (could be the manager!?) who seems to do the busy shift around 9am. She will have drinks lined up all at different stages of preparation and will keep asking the next customer what they want, while advising the person on the till what to put through. She also seems to have memorised what tons of people normally order, despite everyone wearing masks. I've been coming here regularly for 2-3 years and I've never once seen her make a mistake. I know I couldn't remember half of what she does for half of her shift, while still putting out good coffee.

Although it was a Sunday and it was relatively quiet, there were hardly any tables free of leftover rubbish from the previous customers. My friend and I found a table but no one bothered to come and clean the tables. The bins were overflowing too. However, on a positive note, the location is great and it is very close to the Great Victoria Street station, especially if you are in a hurry to catch the train, also in view of the fact that the benches have been taken away from the station due to the pandemic. It was just a pity that the place was in a complete tip and the cleanliness was a lot more to be desired for!

So friendly even when it’s at it’s busiest! There is a lovely women in there every time an there and she’s always suggesting things and always a smile on her face!

We always come here when we've travelled to Belfast. It's right at the station entrance beside the Europa hotel. Great for people watghing. The coffee is typical Nero's, but I want to recommend the carrot cake - filling and moist. Most customers are travellers, so there is always a wide mix of nationalities, and the staff are excellent. One drawback is the three draughty doors; You'll need to keep your coat on in winter!

I come here 2-3 times a week since my office is close by, the staff are always so friendly and they remember our orders some of the time! Coffees are made quick and taste good! The scones are awesome too. Definitely the nicest staff I've come across in any Nero!

Llamado aquí ayer por la noche con amigos. Querían un café descafeinado, pero no tenían nada así que decidieron tomar un té descafeinado. Disfruté de un pedazo de pastel de capuchino. Todo bien en este punto.Sin embargo, a las 7. 50 pm fui a los baños. Dos puertas en el pasillo tenían una silla frente a ellas para bloquear el acceso. El baño para discapacitados estaba abierto pero había un hedor a orina. Vi que alguien había orinado y no se había sonrojado. O tal vez más de uno lo había hecho ya que el olor era horrible. Me acerqué para al ras con el mango, pero parecía estar roto. Inmediatamente salí del baño y supe que solo tendría que ir a los baños en la estación de tren. Me quedé desconcertado de por qué los otros inodoros estaban bloqueados cuando había clientes en el edificio. Necesitan prestar más atención a sus baños.

I just needed some me time, a coffee and catch up on emails on way back from Belfast to the mainland! Comfortable seats, great coffee, fast wifi, near the airport bus!

I have visited Caffè Nero twice now while stopping in Newcastle it really jumps out as a Decent coffee place witch is always on my radar i will be regularly getting coffee form the great stuff in Caffè Nero

Most of the staff here are lovely, but there is one girl who cannot be more rude. It's a busy coffee shop but every other member of staff manages to be friendly and polite. It is their job and to be honest isn't very difficult to just be basically civil to customers.There are plenty of other coffee shops nearby so if I see she is working and I have the time, I go elsewhere.

This was a very good place for a quick stop to recharge the batteries. The staff were very pleasant and it was clean.

Ambiance très vieille Angleterre très cosy et agréable.Très très bonnes viennoiseries (pains au chocolats, muffins, croissants de toute sorte, ...) et très très bon café, expresso et cappuccino. Vraiment à recommander pour une pause petit déjeuner pour bien démarrer la journée. Personnel un peu froid et expéditif mais vu le nombre de personnes qu'il doit servir le matin, on peut comprendre.

I ordered a medium tea and medium americano. Staff weren't listening. Tried to give me various combinations including large americano and medium cappuccino, large tea and medium latte, medium tea and medium latte. Had to let tea get cold while americano was made. Ridiculous.

It was lunchtime when we visited, so I could accept that the café was busy, but the tables were very badly laid out so customers had to push past other customers to get in or out.

I recently ordered a British Chicken and Bacon Tostati Melt from this Caffe Zero. I did something I don't imagine Nero employees expect their customers to do...which was to lift up the bread of the sandwich and have a look underneath at the contents. I have never been so disgusted at the sheer lack of chicken and bacon inside. I counted 2 small chunks of chicken similar in shape to the kind in the Bernard Mathew's packs, only much smaller, and about 5 tiny square bits of bacon barely a centimeter in size. Absolutely pathetic. Not to mention the cappuccino which was lukewarm, but I don't expect much from this place.

Eso te dije cafetería que si quieres desayunar y no quieres fallar puedes ir allí aunque tampoco esperes nada del otro mundo ya que está todo muy estandarizado y al fin y al cabo es como un Starbucks.

This is a really nice spot to meet people or spend time before your train. Staff are friendly and there's lots of seats.

This café was only a few minutes walk from the Hilton hotel where we stayed and next door to the entrance to a shopping mall which brought you to the bus station. I had a slice of cake and a large mug of tea on two occasions in this place, it was so relaxing.

Great coffee shop beside the Europa Hotel where I stayed. there was a long Q so it's always a good sign. Great and friendly service.

Coffee and cakes fine, service pretty good and lots of choice of seating. Only big letdown was the toilet - gents was out of order and ladies was filthy!

With a Starbucks on every corner, I think Nero's is often overlooked, however in my opinion it's the much more superior Coffee shop of the two. There's no pretense about their drinks and even though it's a chain, it does have the feel of a more indie coffee shop, with each store decorated differently.

Stopped here for a coffee on my way out of town. The barista explained the different options as I was a bit unfamiliar with the menu. The bakery items looked lovely as well.

this is a place that sells coffee, maybe cakes you know the sort of thing. they have many of them in Belfast. I would say in my opinion that this place is far better than the starbucks in Belfast airport. if your in Belfast I would recommend going out of your way to hunt down this hidden gem.

Latte was terrible. Service great. i bought 3 lattes from 3 different places in Belfast. All were terrible. Just not a coffee town.

One of the largest Caffe Nero's in Belfast serving the same fare as the others. Good location close to the train and bus station and adjacent to the famous Europa Hotel. Smooth efficient and fast service from obviously experienced staff.

This was the first time I've been here in almost 3 years after very rude staff. Much better this time and the comfy armchairs are amazing!

always have great coffee and sweet treats. plenty of room to sit inside and even outside if you are smoking. The bathroom code is a bit funky but clean and welcome for those out all day. Love the chocolate sprinkles on top of the cappuccinos...

Me encanta, pero el Caffè Nero aquí al entrar en la estación de tren/autobús en Belfast tiene el peor de los trabajadores. No ofende a nadie, pero había tres trabajadores de hoy cuando me fui y todos ellos tenían acentos extranjeros. Hay una chica que trabaja aquí, que es tan grosero es increíble. Ella normalmente tiene tres órdenes a la vez pero a lo ridícula quieres? Pero nunca te mira, su regreso es siempre encendida mientras ella le pide a todas estas preguntas. Pedí un café con leche y caramelo dos veces y me dieron una regular latte. Me siento como si ella no tenía la espalda resultó que ella lo he podido escuchar lo que yo estaba diciendo más claramente. Yo estaba absolutamente desilusionarse con cómo ella es. Demasiado creídos y necesita escuchar más.

Hemos estado en esta rama varias veces antes de hoy y es usualmente una experiencia bastante agradable. Normalmente vamos aquí después de una cena Red panda sólo para conseguir un buen café.

Caffè Nero bastante decente, pero puede estar muy concurrido, ya que está ubicado justo al lado de la estación de tren y de autobuses Europa. Muchos asientos dentro y fuera. Un buen café y una generosa selección de sándwiches, pasteles y tartas, además de la ocasional tema vegetariano.

We stopped in here every morning for breakfast. The sofa seating areas near the windows are lovely and sunny in the morning. There is one lady who seems to run the place single-handed (the other staff only get in her way). She was friendly and super efficient. Everything was excellent and we love the big bowls of steaming porridge.

Stopped in with a friend early in the morning and the cafe was pretty dirty. Floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned and the toilets were very unclean.

we dropped in here after one of our tours it was mid afternoon, staff were lovely, but too expensive for what you get and the tea wasn't nice

on a positive- great and handy location for cheap and quick bites and generally a nice place which i've never had any complaints about but customer service by a member of staff was not great. Gave my order and paid for it , got most of my order and was waiting for my drink. the guy who served me even from the start seemed like he had an attitude problem but half way through getting what i ordered i was totally blanked but i thought ok maybe hes gotten someone else to make my drink while he serves the next customer which is fine but this wasnt communicated i just assumed as i was ignored but my assumption wasnt the case. I waited 5 more minutes before grabbing his attention to which he just stared rudely as if to say why are you still here and what do you want... well i wanted the drink i paid for. I told him i was still waiting on my drink to which he didnt apologise just walked off made it and left it on the counter. At no point was i rude to the staff so why was i getting service like this? Plus it was not heavily busy. I worked in Coffee shops before even in the airports so i know it can get stressful but seriously no need for rude customer service at any point

It was a bit cold outside and we decided to have a cup of coffee and rest for a while. The waiter and waitresses were very friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing. A good place to work with your computer while having a good capuccino.

Went to Cafe Nero Abbey centre for lunch; ordered toasted sandwich for my wife and me. After waiting a while my wife had to go and ask if they were ready, when we got them they were overdone and dry with bits that were burnt underneath.

This coffee shop was a god send on a cold wet day in Belfast. As always with Nero's the service was ok & the range of products is as per any normal coffee shop. The staff are very friendly & helpful

I had been to this place several times during my stay just because of its high quality of service. Nice food, range of beverages with great care and efficient service.

Meeting with friends who were arriving by train we had pre-arranged to meet in the Gt Victoria Street Neros...Now one Nero shop is as every other Nero shop, I have to say the lovely young girl who was our Barista was really excellent..with a sense of humour, & an eye to business & Up selling', she certainly took care of us..Lovely coffee too..Comfortable seating & plenty of space & a chance for us to 'catch up' for the next hour or so ....Lovely visit....

I've only been to Cafe Nero here twice but have always found it a great place for a good coffee and reasonable food.Recently I took a friend for a quick impromptu lunch and it was very good. The coffee is good and the range of food is excellent for it's type.My friend has some mobility issues and the staff were understanding and attentive, right up until,we left - leaving me with the notion that this is somewhwrw I would be happy to go back to.

I am always in here when I am getting buses and trains and its a great wee coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and very helpful helping you to bring your tray over if needed sometimes I do because I shake and spill the coffee. I sometimes get breakfast here and sometimes lunch but usually just a coffee and take time out and read. Its a lovely wee place to sit down and chill out.

We stopped in at Caffe Nero at had a terrific cup of coffee. They also had a good range of treats to try. The ones we had were ok, not great. But the place was looking a bit run down. Everything seemed a little old, worn and tattered. The toilets were dirty. Next time, we'll grab the coffee for take-away and sit outside somewhere.

Having stopped in many Caffe Nero's, this one here really showed the flaws in the franchise. The tables are very stained while one of the mugs we had contained a chip. Cleanliness of the floors could be improved while a change in the seating arrangements as the tables and chairs so close together made it very cramped. Tea was nice although.

Went for breakfast two days running. Same dirt on the floor & mat. Dirt on the tables, obviously from previous day. Toilet hand wash dispenser broken & lid on the floor & dirt on the floor. With awful hygiene like that, I wouldn't trust the staff to wash hands or keep the coffee machines clean. Nil chance of me going back again.

Rite here I go walked in to the cafe where I was greeted by the most relaxing music and staff were really really friendly we got served sat down on the sofa at the windows where we quietly opened a bottle of wine we had a few paper cups from earlier that day we proceeded to get pished. We were very impressed with the way the shop was run. We sat a good 3 hours we were well pished by the time to go . 1 thing that needs to be addressed id the loos went to loo N the bowl was well let's just say that you would have thought that a formula 1 driver had been in b4 hand with the amount of skid marks in d bowl would go back again certainly.

We visited a few of the coffee shops round the city and all of them were good to have a coffee in and watch the world go bye.

Handy for trains and buses. Nice atmosphere. Staff work hard. Possibly understaffed at busy times. Also I little cold as doors to street left open. Cannot fault the fresh coffee. Food a little dear. Girl who served me was very helpful as I had injured my arm.

Used to work in the trade and sometimes first thing in the morning its hard to get great coffee despite the large number of coffee shops in and around Belfast. Nero is my first choice when in this part of Belfast.

Caffe Nero coffee is always good, and the selection of cakes etc is consistently tempting. The interior of this branch is quite pleasant, with the usual mix of comfortable chairs and dining tables. The staff are very friendly. This is a good spot to stop whilst waiting for a bus at Europa bus station.

Called in the café for a quick coffee and cake - normally what one would do in a café! Whilst my wife ordered the coffee I went to get a table. Even though the café was not busy, the tables were not clean and the floor was filthy with the usual debris of crumbs etc - no attempt to clean being apparent. I tried several tables before I found a half decent one. Whilst one also expects a certain degree of noise in a café, especially given this location, it is not acceptable to have unaccompanied children noisily bounce on the leather settees (past their sell by date)- later realised that the adults were outside having a smoke! Staff should really have had a polite word. This café is at the epicentre of travel for both NI residents and visiting tourists and really must make more of an effort to have an environment that is spotlessly clean and has an inviting ambience. Surely Café Nero must have learnt a salutary lesson from recent events relating to four legged, long tailed visitors?????

Very rude staff here and won't be back. I ordered a large cappuccino to take away with cinnamon from a girl who didn't even greet me, just stared until I gave my order. She was very polite and chatty to the American customers in front of me. She silently made the drink and plonked down a small china cup - I said I asked for a large take away. She sighed and poured it into a take away cup and filled it with water. I said I asked for a large take away with cinnamon. She put it into a larger cup and put chocolate on the top. I said I wanted cinnamon. She took a knife and pushed it over the top of the cup - causing all the chocolate to slop onto the counter and pushed it at me. At this point I just left, saying I'd go somewhere else where they could make the drink I asked for. Haven't been back to that store.

For a chain they do produce high quality coffee. The setting is comfortable too and very handy for the bus/train station. Pity about their dodgy accounting practices. Pay your taxes!

The coffee is rather good and I oftrn buy take away coffee from various branches of Caffe Nero. This particular location is central and convenient for meeting up with friends. I find the food somewhat pricy. I can buy similar things for less in other city centre cafes.

7am in Belfast and I found my oasis! Convenient to Great Victoria Street train station and open early, perfect for a pre-meeting caffeine intake.On Friday 31st July when I stopped by, the staff were happy, polite & very friendly, great start to my day.

I use the Caffe Nero chain a lot, and this particular branch is very typical of the brand. Friendly, helpful service plus nice cakes and pastries. In this particular branch, conveniently placed near the railway station, the cappuccino wasn't as strong as the typical Caffe Nero offering, but it is still a decent enough cup of coffee.

A quick coffee after a meal on the way back to our hotel. Coffee was quite tasty. If I must offer some advice, try to serve it without spilling it onto the saucers and check out photos of the furniture. But apart from that it seems to have good cakes and the coffee was served promptly at 8:00 pm just before closing time.

It was a very relaxing cafe. The selection isn't great especially for children. The staff were pleasant and you got free wifi which was good. Would go back again!!

Great coffee as always, Nero are a great chain for coffee, though they do like their trays and tiny jugs for milk, and spoons, coffee shouldn't be that overcomplicated.I now always request that they just pour some milk into my coffee, but nonetheless always great coffee!!

If you are on tour and don't have a lot of time, pop in here and grab a quick bite. Food was fast and good. Many pre made things; staff will heat them up for you.

Although there is a consistency and sameness that you would expect from such a franchise there is also and individuality about Café Neros that sets them apart from their competitors. Sometimes the difference is about the friendliness and determined efficiency of their staff but often it's to do with location. The setting or geography seems to create in each coffee house a distinctive ambiance. This cafés uniqueness us about its vast seated area, it's access points from Great Victoria St and the mall leading to the bus and train station, it's closeness to the famous Europa International and the diversity of its clientele - customers, users and patrons of the above mentioned and workers from a catchment area that includes a range of offices and businesses.Like Piccadilly Circus if you dally here long enough you'll meet the whole world. Nurse a coffee amid the alternating bustle and calm and breath it all in.
