Caffè Nero in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Bought a couple of decaf flat whites here. One was free with Octopus energy. Very nice drinks.

Usual Caffè Nero menu of course but freindly staff and planty of seating avaliable.

Bit expensive and my compare the meercat offer only entiles me to a discount on pastries not all desserts sadly :( That was the main reason for going, so won't be rushing back. Waitress at Truro was very understanding and helpful God bless

The store in Boscowan street remains one of my favourite stores. This review is in relation to dogs. For some time now barking dogs have been a regular problem. I'm told staff can only ask that dogs don't go on the furniture. Some dog owners seem to think it's fine that their animals constantly bark, cry and whimper. It seems to me that many of the animals don't want to be there. I think it reasonable that owners are asked to keep their dogs under control if they want to remain, and perhaps a notice in store asking that some thought be given to other customers who might be there for a quiet coffee and bite to eat. There has to be some compromise.

Lovely clean and welcoming. Amazing selection of mouthwatering pastries.

Had a tuna melt panini and pot of tea, both of which hit the spot on a very drab day. Was served very quickly by a friendly and efficient young man.

I quite enjoyed it ,The food was nice ,it had a nice vibe and nice batistas. I would recommend coming her with a friend or by yourself

Have been to this branch in truro a few times always a nice coffee but not consistent in making of coffees. I love a white mocha so depends on recipe made by each person. Always want it a little hotter which they have no problem with. Just needs a little love in clearing tables and cleanliness at times.

I only used the bathroom but the staff here are always polite and the coffee always the same, its a busy store but not overly crowded. Worth a coffee visit x

Absolutely LOVELY staff, so friendly and kept up with a HUGE afternoon rush while still giving careful attention to each customer. Genuinely impressed! Loved the minced pie and coconut milk hot chocolate

Oh Dear - If the public areas & toilets are anything to go by ... what is it like where the customer can't see? Fortunately, my 🕷 senses must have been tingling because I only ordered a coffee & I took a pre-wrapped biscuit to go with it. It was only when I sat down that I noticed the grime. Everywhere was covered in a thin film of grease. My coffee cup had lip/lipstick still around the rim which I had to clean before I could use it - yuk! Then - I noticed the flies. There were 3 in particular that looked extremely healthy .. and big. I felt extremely uncomfortable. The reasons why I never mentioned any of this to the staff was (A) I'm 'disabled' and as such don't like confrontation, physically, I'm unstable and don't feel confident enough to assert myself any more. (B) If I am writing a review then I do like to stay 'incognito' (C) Once the review has been published the contents could easily reveal my identity as it once did, afterwhich I no longer felt welcome.

Nice and cozy. Their coffees are really great. Have good vegetarian options in their bakery as well.

Unfortunately the better Nero in Truro was full Walked in to see 2 staff 1 of which cleared the 4 tables around where I sat but left the remains of someone else's on my table and never came back had to wait 10 minutes for a flat white and a latte with 2 mince pies had to ask for cutlery and still didn't get any napkins Amateurish no wonder it was so empty

It is a cheesy chain place but they are always really friendly and the coffee is great.

I wish I had taken a photo during our visit to this cafe in June 2023. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The coffee was lush but OMG, the cherry almond croissants were just to die for. Had to even buy some to take away! 4 months on and I still can't get them out of my head lol. I hope they still make them, well worth a try! 😁

Good selection of coffee, cakes, pastries and other snacks. The interior looked worn and the upholstered chairs had holes in them. Cafe Nero needs to replace all the chairs ASAP.

This is the one in Boscawen Street Truro, but my experience there seems to apply across the company, good food, at a fair price, what more could you ask for

Massive massive praise to the lovely trainee barista Abby (Abbie? Sorry not sure which spelling they prefer!) who was so so patient today dealing with a really quite rude customer who kept demanding changes and seemed to expect her coffee to materialise out of thin air (dear Norma, the coffee needs time to actually brew leave the poor lass alone) with complete disregard for the fact that Abby was serving on her own and there were quite a few other customers in the shop. Abby was so sweet and patient and honestly handled the competing demands of a growing queue with yet another request by this customer to change her coffee (I don't know who taught that lady manners) with such grace and patience. Didn't fluster them at all. 10/10 an absolute sweetie pie. I pray I never meet Norma again though.

The lounge chairs were threadbare, the whole restaurant is very shabby, service was good and friendly, my sausage roll was nice.

Went Cafe Nero Truro today, was met by a lovely friendly young lady, I asked for a Latte, I was served it in a cup, normally when I ask for a Latte it's served in along glass mug, so I'm presuming they've cut that out to conserve milk, but as £3.10 a cup, I will not be going there again, Wetherspoons is £1.99 which I think is a more reasonable price, and its a mug, not a small cup, sorry CN but your prices and servings are out of order.

Chai latte and excellent mince pie on wet cold day... just what was needed.

Not happy about my drink yesterday and a few times before that. I request frothed coconut milk and chocolate sprinkles on my cappuccino and get neither. Disappointing!

Very busy for a Sunday. The staff were very busy but kept a smile for the customers. Newbie Adam , bless him, was polite, friendly and helpful. Bit of a baptism of fire for his first weekend shift. Hopefully it hasn't put him off barristering and he carries on as he was so lovely today!

Great coffee, shame about the barista! Not very disability friendly. Just arrived and being disabled j need a chair with arms. Being g a party of three, I moved an armchair from an empty corner to a table with two other arm chairs so we could sit together. No sooner done than the unwelcoming batista 'asked' that the chair be moved on the basis that other disabled patrons would struggle to get past. As the only thing beyond the table is a set of stairs, I argued my case and stayed put! Shame the staff member couldn't be more considerate of actual customer as she was about potential but non-existent ones.

The lady working at the front was fantastic and made a great recommendation on what to order! Very happy with the service. Lost one star as the toilet wasn't great and the had soap dispenser is broken and held together with tape ..

I've always eschewed Caffé Nero for more abundant coffee shops (you know which ones) but I have to say the quality of the coffee I've consumed in Neros are much better and it seems like the baristas genuinely enjoy crafting good beverages - BZ

Hugely disappointed on the hygiene of cafe in what is still a pandemic 😫 Visited on Sunday, staff were polite, but despite it not being busy nobody cleared the tables or wiped them down, we sat on a table that had dirty cups on it, nobody cleared it the whole 1 and a half hours we were there, in that time not one of the tables were cleared or cleaned, it was also very cold in cafe!

Love the drinks, especially the frappes. Unfortunately on 1 ocassion very recently i witness a senior member of staff being extremely passive aggressive and rude to a trainee member of staff. I now go to the other shop because of this.

I have never posted negatively before but todays experience for us was awful. Rude and shouty staff member, queuing and ordering the most stressful ordeal I've ever had anywhere. Should have left then really. No general cleaning let alone Covid cleaning. Food all over the floor, had to clean own tables. Coffee was okay but didn't get the one I wanted, even though it was advertised on the counter, the staff member insisted I order from the main board. Certainly won't be visiting this establishment again.
