Caffè Nero in Melton

Good place to pop in for a quick coffee.

I use my Octoplus reward here most weeks and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Without fail, they raise a smile with their chirpiness and banter. They are a credit to their management. The drinks are always perfection too. Melton Mowbray's Caffe Nero is the best.

I really like this coffee shop so it saddens me to give it such a low rating. To be clear, I love the coffee served there, I like the cakes albeit they’re a bit pricey (and getting smaller) and the staff are always friendly and efficient. It is just that when I was there a few days ago, there were six dogs in there as well. I’m not anti dogs at all but when six dogs are in a relatively small coffee shop and at least two of them are yapping/barking, well this does not make for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a coffee/read etc. The dogs’ owners made no attempt to calm or silence them. Sadly, I will have to find somewhere else to enjoy my coffee from now on.

This is one of the most pleasant popular cafes I have been too. The main man behind the counter has a pleasant word for all his customers.

For me the best coffee and atmosphere in town. Getting a bit pricey but everywhere is these days.

Had a stop here for a cuppa and a catch-up. The staff were really lovely and helpful. We had to sit at a dirty table, which was crumy.

Dog friendly, delicious lemon and blueberry muffin. Coffee full of flavour and hot. Staff rearranged seating to accommodate my wheelchair. Busy market day

A lovely place to sit over a drink, snack or meal and chat with a friend or just enjoy some quiet time to wind down and relax. Particularly nice to sit outside to catch the lunchtime or early evening sunshine. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff and a delicious range of favourites and nee options for food and drink at very reasonable prices in a pleasant environment.

Awful start to my birthday, I came in to collect my free cake, but couldn’t figure out how to get my voucher (I only had the promo code) and the staff couldn’t figure it out either, a man and a woman. I found the woman extra rude, yesterday also. Miserable atmosphere from her, not pleased.

It's lovely! A bit pricey but lovely. Coffee is really good! Cakes and scones are lovely.

Out of all the major coffee chains, Nero is in my opinion the best. Really great coffee and when I visited the staff were just perfect,friendly, very competent and efficient.

This is probably the worst caffe nero I've been too mainly because they allow so many dogs in there. It's so annoying when they are barking. One owner walked in with 3 dogs! One could not control the barking. Not a good place to go if you want a quiet drink without dogs coming up to you scaring you and barking. Best to go across the road to More Coffee.

Popped in as I was going to work but the rota had changed, I thought why not pop in for a treat before going back home. Chap serving behind the counter said he was new to the store from Beeston, what a breath of fresh air, excellent customer service, chatty and gave a real warmth. Coming from the hospitality industry industry I can only say what an asset to the business. I hope this gets fed back to the guy himself.

The ladies working there provide great service. Greets customers promptly and all is prepared very quickly!

Ordered my toastie today at the store it was very busy. I picked up a tomato and mozzarella vegetarian toastie. As it was so busy I got told to sit down and wait for the rest of my order, all fine. I got asked if I wanted the toastie and cake in the same bag (but divided up into little bags inside). Unfortunately I got back to my car and my toastie had got mixed up with someone else’s and it had chicken in with a white sauce. So having to go elsewhere for lunch now. Not great to be honest

Unfortunately a 3 star due to the disappointing state of the toilets. Hate leaving negative feedback, but have to be honest.

A lovely little cafe to visit and have a coffee n cake. Friendly staff. The premises are clean & tidy which is important. Only criticism is limited selection of hot food available.

I went to this branch whilst in Melton Mowbray and really enjoyed a great coffee, the staff are amongst the most pleasant and efficient I've come across.

It was the only place open serving food on a public holiday. Had a light lunch. Pleasant & popular.

I love the coffee here and the staff are always super efficient but the premises are greatly in need of updating, it's very busy in there and your staff do a super job.

It is always a treat to go to the Melton Nero’s. Today it is decorated for Halloween . Claire and the baristas always make a big effort to welcome customers. Today the freezing weather outside was contrasted with the warm welcome within and a cafe decorated for Halloween. The baristas were in costume .It must have been a huge effort for all concerned. Well done . They take similar care at other festive times too. The cafe is worth a visit if you are in town.

Cake counter was our of order, a sign said cakes available as usual, but when I asked, was told there weren't any.

Very popular centre of town coffee shop, we popped in on a Saturday morning and at one point there were 5 dogs in the cafe , not a problem for us we don't mind .

I'm not a fan of chain cafés but as the franchise goes, this is a nice place to stop for a bite. Serves your average Nero pre-made food and good coffee. Comfy seating and in a good spot in town

tables are too low but the hot chocolates are killer <3
