Great place if you have an Allergy request. I am allergic to peas and they cooked my own veg away from all vegetables, if you have allergies please let them know, and you will be in safe hands. Great food, friendly service and a wonderful atmosphere for all family and friend.

A decent pub with side sides to the a bar plus an outside seating area, the price are really good and the quality of the beer and spirits are excellent.

Used to love sitting in the lounge having a nice quiet drink. They now let in kids that have drank way too much and continue to serve them. Had enough of listening to loud swearing so went to Anne of Cleaves instead. A great shame :(

We booked the Crown for a memorial for my dad, as this was one of his favourite pubs when he lived in the area years ago. The new owners had only recently took the pub on, but couldn't do enough to make things work out for us. Excellent in booking, no hassle, happy to do anything we wanted to do to make the day right. Arranged a fantastic buffet for the event, very generous and excellent value, with the homemade pizzas a particular highlight, commented on by most people there. The place is nice, clean, and well stocked. An excellent kids play area out the back, with a nice beer garden makes for a great afternoon in the sunshine. We'll be sure to return for a drink or a meal, look forward to seeing the new team take the place from strength to strength.

I went with my daughter, very great choice of food for us both! Felt like home, super child friendly. A customer brought his dog, so friendly for everyone. Food portions was massive, I had lasagna, with chips and garlic bread, my daughter had hot dog which as a £1 for half term. Both finished with deserts banoffee pie and chocolate brownie. Defiantly will be returning all year round.

Not a pub for grown ups or a quiet pint since the beer garden is over run by noisy children. The outdoor area also faces a car park and lacks atmosphere.

Me and a mate stopped for a pint but soon realised this was a family pub and full of kids. A decent enough service here but in the end not for us so moved on to the nearby Compass. which had a better vibe.

Lovely Old pub lovely to see such fine decor from the light fittings to the old flooring think if I recall the Manager said it was built on the 18 hundreds nice to have a quick bite and refreshments whilst waiting for the bus into Leicester.

A really nice Pub, all the drinks were fresh and enjoyed. Didn't feel uncomfortable each time we have visited (old bloke out for a drink with daughter and partner).Looks like it may become my new local.

It was lovely to visit the Crown again it's been a long time! Would of stayed for a second round had it not been for the thick clouds of vape smoke.

Met my husband there, was the first pub we introduced our children and granddaughter to, amazing staff who REALLY CARE , friendly locals , need I say more ?

Classic town pub . It was a bit of a trip back in time for me but it was a good one .

We found The Crown a very warm and friendly pub if we are in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

I enjoy the Crown it's a nice back room and you meet some interesting people it's sort of low key against other places so makes for a pleasant relaxing lounge.

Not what it was on last visit a couple of years ago. Beer still OK just not spot on. Didn't feel the same principally because despite the weather fire not lite when it would have been blazingly away.

If you look at the pictures before you go then you will not be disappointed. Nothing special but good Beer, so if you just want to visit a pub and drink with nothing more special it's ok, if you are looking for luxury then look again at the pictures.

A great traditional pub serving real ales and food through the day a very friendly atmosphere with a great landlord and good staff. Sunday lunch is well worth a visit. And live music is often on all in all one of melton best

Bar staff good. Lunchtime food left a lot to be desired. Food was not fresh it appeared to have just been taken out of packets and warmed up. Very disappointed. The 2stars are for the bar staff not the food.

Quiet pic with 2 bars (well, 1 bar that serves 2 rooms) with a courtyard beer garden area. Decent selection of need and snacks. Nothing special but nothing wrong with it either. It was pretty quiet when we went in so a nice place to go for a chat if you don't want to have to shout over loud music.

GREAT mulled wine (it was a week to Xmas when we called) and the 2 meals for £9 were exceptional value.

I'm biased here because I like everards beers and this is one of their pubs. Locals pub beer garden to rear. They even had the wheat beer on sale.

Food has been lovely on the last 2 visits on sunday.

A load of foul abuse from a drunk Landlady. I made a booking what I then cancelled. I then get a mouth full of drunken abuse by the landlady who clearly needs to stop drinking her stock because it clearly clouded her judgement. If you want a good local pub with good food go to the Anne of Cleaves or the Boat and leave the Land lady to drink her own stock.
