Caffè Nero in Middlesbrough

Nice place to eat and drink browse the internet listen to music but there wooden seats should have a cushion on them to make them more comfortable to sit on all staff are friendly and nice but there is one lass in there the last time she served me she brought to my table my toasted teacake she place it right on the edge of the tables d it nearly fell off I got the impression that she did not want to severe me even tho I had done nothing things like this can put people off from going in there again I haven't said anything about it the other staff but I haven't forgotten it I just find it unsociable it costs nothing to be nice and say hi or hello there one lad in the and lass who are very sociable one broke say allright buddy to me it make u feel comfortable and it nice to be nice and friendly but unfortunately alot of people these days don't think like me if they did they would get alot more customers I would recommend the place to other people and nice cup of tea and chat sometime I get the impression from young girls they thinking to them selves if iam to nice the lad might think that iam coming onto him which am not but I doubt no y they think that way end of the day I would rather be liked rather than disliked

I've been coming hear for a long while now and they have the best hot chocolates ever and the staff are amazing and nice

Hate this branch, got my coffee wrong ~asked for mocha and got latte?!? Asked for extra hot and got lukewarm, cakes were tiny. Totally disappointed experience. Dull place with terrible service by Tracy. I like cafe nero in Durham and Guisborough

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, always a lovely atmosphere when you walk in! Highly recommend the pain au chocolat, almond croissants and it always tastes fresh!

Nero's best coffee around but come on get your cooking times right for your morning 'pain au raisin's'. I use Nero's ALL over the country, there has to be a nation wide cooker settings error for cooking pain au raisin's. They are 99/100 under done and soggy.

Anywhere in the UK, Caffe Nero has the same good quality sandwiches/cakes/toast and coffees. I loved the winter blend coffee 😍 and the brie foccacia! In another occasion, mushroom mascarpone is another favourite of mine 😍

Nice and clean with friendly staff. Frustratingly they seem to lock the toilets meaning you have to find a member of staff to unlock them which isn’t great when staff are busy and you need the toilet.

My fave place to meet friends and just have a natter.

What a lovely spot for a cup of tea or two. Caffè Nero is located directly across from Next in the heart of Middlesbrough's cleveland centre,bustling shopping district. The cafè serves what you'd expect from a neighborhood hangout: lattes, frappes, cakes, and sweets. I got my regular Cappuccino.

I pass this site on the way to uni. It could be a little cleaner, but I only pick up a coffee to go. I don't think I'd eat there.

There was a tall guy who served me, his attitude while serving was appalling. I think its disrespectful that he had head phones in and having a general chit chat with someone on the phone and moaning that hes in work

Lovely cafe but popular with smokers outdoors - you can't smell it indoors but if it's busy you have to go through the fog to enter. Otherwise lovely.

Very overpriced drinks and snacks compared to Costa where in later though I should have went.

Much prefer cafe Nero over Costa anytime. Friendly staff and nice coffee & nice shop ☕👍

Frappe: What on earth was that! I don't know if they put any milk in it at all and could hardly tell it was chocolate and hazelnut flavour. Croissant was nice which raised it from getting two stars for food. Should have had hot chocolate. Not a patch on Costa. I'm new to the centre of Middlesbrough and it's the first cafe I could find as the station one was closed.

Went to use the toilet but it was either locked or occupied, so I returned 5 minutes later and still found it locked. Checked with staff who handed me a key. (Why was there no clear signage). Key was to the disabled toilet which was dirty with the remnants of a soggy toilet roll on the sink, and no toilet paper in the dispenser. Returned the key to the staff and explained what I found and said I would go elsewhere but I was handed a large toilet roll for the dispenser and was expected to face the embarrassment of walking back through the busy cafe to the toilets. I declined. The staff member then took it herself but when we got to the disabled toilet she couldn't open the dispenser at which point a 2nd key materialised to open the unisex toilet. This again was not particularly clean but at least had a toilet roll! I accept the reasons why the toilets might need to be accessible by a key, but there should be clear signs AND there can be no excuse for the state of the toilet area which was clearly not being effectively managed.

Went in for the first time today and the woman who served me was very sweet and friendly. The cinnamon latte was amazing, probably the best I’ve had!

Called in for lunch on Wednesday 23rd November. Two lovely down-to-earth ladies were serving at the counter. We had toasted sandwiches with seasonal Black Forest Mocha finished off with heavenly amaretto mince pies. The two ladies were friendly, pleasant, and very attentive. The restaurant was very clean. But, above all the food and drink tasted amazing. Top marks.

Staff who know their coffee and other products. Very pleasant folk who you can chat with and who make you feel comfortable, which is always a plus when you go into a new establishment. The flat white with the speciality blend was excellent.

Quite expensive for what you get, I didnt really enjoy my toastie or my hot chocolate, and I got given a dirty spoon and didn't realise until after I used it on my drink. Probably wouldn't return.

Don't like the face that you have to queue just for a key to use the toilet?! That's actually for a disabled person ? So a disabled person would have to wait for an able to person to be done. As it is under staffed it was difficult to get served and get a key. The toilet wasn't clean and the key has been passed about ....

Service slow, food ok. Tables dirty and counter full of dust and not just a day's worth of dust either. Shame as I do love Neros. Disappointed 😞

I needed place to do have coffee while studying. Cafe Nero came highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed. The coffee was on point and the customer service was excellent. I did not only get a decent sit, I also was able to charge my laptop. I can't wait to be back there.

Ordered today via Uber, used note function to request large latte single shot ( don’t like strong coffee) with my lunch plus a normal coffee…. Guess what both coffees the same too strong for me I rang and asked do they not read the additional notes was assured they do, my coffee poured away as horrible, offered a free coffee if I’m ever passing, which was kind but I never will be I only work in north Ormesby Road I don’t actually live here. Won’t order again, what a waste of money!!!

Lovely drinks and kind staff that immediately made me feel welcome. I had a mango fruit booster and it was delicious. Outdoor seating is lovely on a nice day when town isn't as busy. Recommended!
