Came here for a few cocktails after we had some food at Marton Bistro. Well we didn't end up getting any cocktails and we all walked out. It took the useless girl who was "waiting tables" (I've never seen someone so slow and unattentive!), around 10 mins to even come and take our order! Which was 1 Amaretto Sours, 1 French Martini and 1 Mojito .... 3 drinks we ordered and 25 min later we still had NO DRINKS!!!! The bar staff are pathetically slow, no customer skills at all. It does NOT take 25 mins to make a cocktail! What we thought were our drinks after such a ridiculous wait, wasn't. So we just stood up and walked out. We won't be returning, what a utter shambles of am establishment !!!

Poorly ran. The waiting time on cocktails is mind blowingly slow and unprofessional and the amount of time it took someone to take our order was just as slow! Won't be trying again.

This place has gone completely downhill! We have visited here many of times in the past and it has always been a lovely place, lately the bar just does not have the same feel to it anymore. Staff are incredibly rude, the times we’ve been in whilst the manager is there he hasn’t been helpful at all, he often sits at the bar on his phone ignoring customers! It does not have the same fun atmosphere as it once did, this is very upsetting as it is a place we visited very often but we will definitely be going elsewhere from now on.

Nice place if you like these kind of places pleasant staff nice decor burgers nice very cramped best to book a table - we where walk ins but got seated - prefer a more traditional pub with plenty of room

Canny and busy little establishment don't get me wrong. And although a lengthy wait for your cocktail is par for the course at a cocktail bar, what was not expected was the sight of customers being turned away while staff sat at the bar blatantly taking seats up. This to me was a mighty strange business tactic. If I was the owner and knew shenanigans like this were going on then I'd be livid. In fact, more than livid...I'd spill blood. Good pint though.

Great beer, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere

Visited this evening, although I live local I haven't been in this establishment prior to today, exceptional customer service skills all round especially from Louis, he was really attentive and very friendly..took the time out to make sure we were equipped with drinks and also had a great rapport with me and my partner, made my experience very enjoyable and I will be coming back regularly as I was made to feel very welcome!

Went on a Saturday night and had to book in advance. Well worth a visit. Excellent service, great choice of beers and cocktails plus the burgers were delicious.

Visited Bloc tonight , booked a table for two at 8pm arrived at 7.30 for a drink, reasonably full for a small place , ordered drinks and picked up a menu only to be told they had ran out of food, asked for the manager he was not in, why they never mentioned that when booking. A table in a bistro ? Beyond me! The chef appeared when I complained and said he did have food but they were too busy!!!!!! In a place with 20 people in! Go to pizza mondo! I’m sure they serve till they close regardless !

Best burger I've ever had!! Makes five guys taste like a 99p McDonald's cheeseburger that's been dropped on the floor.

1 star is over rated. Bad service and no covid safety! Letting people who might kick off or who know the owner not wear a mask and go up to the bar. Ridiculous, staff scared of some customers!!!!

I've been in to block a few times since it opened its doors and I've never had a bad experience yet. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, polite and the interior is styled perfectly for the atmosphere. Whether your in for a coffee, cocktail, beer etc, you won't be disappointed! The food is delicious and we'll priced also. Haven't got a bad word word to say!

Love The Bloc. It’s one of my favourite places to come to!! The staff are amazing, and the food and drink is outstanding!!! After every night out, I’m always raring to come back again. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Visited the bloc for the first time and first impressions were un professional. While having a drink noticed the staff were very lax. The bar area was cluttered with dirty dishes that were moved only to access beer pumps which were there for the time we were there and moved from 1 area to the next. During our time there a staff member ate takeaway sausage and chips at the bar on the whole the experience was poor and we will not be returning. The wonky carrot next door wins on service and professionalism.

Bloc is a great place with a fantastic selections of drinks. The food and cocktails are really good and there is a great atmosphere. The draft larger is the best around. Well worth a visit.
