Caffè Nero in Bath and North East Somerset

The coffee is of great quality and taste is amazing, but the bartender is so niggardly with the porcelain. So that’s not a recommendation, sorry.

There was a lady working here on Tue 27th Aug around 7am in the morning and she was just lovely, really friendly and helpful. Great coffee ☕️

Dane and his team make a chain coffee shop feel like a neighborhood institution. They are warm, friendly, and hospitable. The shop itself is comfortable and has aircon in the summer, as well as lots of comfortable places to talk, read, or work. I can't recommend Caffe Nero Stall St enough!

Worst milkshake I've ever had. Half the glass was just blended ice! Not worth the money when it doesn't even taste like a milkshake. Service very slow also. Staff seemed more interested in chatting than serving the customers!

I ordered white americano and raspberry croissant for take away. Got back to hotel - was actually given black americano and almond croissant. Really?!

I have been to the Café Nero in Bath Stall Street today between 1 pm and 1:20 pm and I asked for 1 porridge with bananas chips, almond and cinnamon and tea with soya milk. And the service was really unprofessional, the ladies were giggling and clearly didn’t know what they were doing. The porridge came in a very bad presentation and as she didn’t have almond for my porridge she offered me a bag of others seeds but once I add it in my porridge I felt like the taste changed and I checked the date on the pack and it was expired. I got the refund but this is not about the money. I have been many times in this café and I have never been treated so unprofessionally and I felt so disappointed.

Came here a few days ago and when I had a simple issue that could've been solved because the wrong thing was given to me even though when they gave it to me they said the correct thing but the wrong item was given. I took a bite believing it was the correct item but it had tomato's and pesto in it when it shouldn't have. What if this happened to someone who was allergic???!!!!! I told the young man working there and he said he'd wait for his manager. He looked unbothered and obviously didn't want to be there. When his manager came out of the back, it made sense. He told her the issue and she said plain as day "Ugh I don't need this right". Right in front of me. She was rude and obnoxious and was treating her staff with no respect. I was just waiting patiently l, not wanting to complain in the first place. When she came to me, she tried to put the blame onto me by saying I picked up the wrong thing, even though when I paid, the item was correct and when they brought it out to me they said the correct thing too so I believed them. But when I took a couple bites I could tell something was wrong. Awful service. I felt so diminished.

Cheese toastie& croissants burnt. Only paper cups. 1 toilet closed, didn't tell us there was a disabled one at back after having to go to M& S toilet. Looked scruffy , run down

Too many negative reviews about in the days given in haste. But whatever others have found....I am most sure this coffee is up to the normal Caffe Nero good or very good quality. They do seem to have maybe ongoing staffing problems possibly , and staff who are just not turning up, as there is just one lady in duty . -- But she is being very ! pleasant, and battling on though clearly finding it tough all on her own. Been let down by others maybe. ?? The overseer manager maybe needs to help the team here a bit. But it's an especially nice smart layout I think. Very nice decor. Smart clean indeed in the Caffe itself. Though the toilets are not open. Maybe problem with folk trashing them when they have very limited staff to keep checking up on. Constant stream of keen good coffee seekers . Anyway very good indeed I reckon and hopefully getting over any problems of late which maybe is unreliable staff not turning up a lot. ??

Came here on holiday and wanted a coffee. 2 employees in there and only one girl serving. Over hear the “manager” say at 2:30 that the things he was doing was going to make his close quicker…. For 6pm. He’s more worried about getting home to start closing 3 and a half hours early. Poor girl was the only one serving drinks with over 5 people waiting. We walked out after 15 minutes.

I've been waiting at the counter for a while.. no staff. Heard staff in the staff room, knocked at the door, and been totally ignored. You should get the bell on the counter:))))

We visited this branch on Saturday afternoon. The venue was really in a mess and there were trays and cups/mugs everywhere that no one bothered to clean up. The coffee made was terribly made. I strongly recommend you find another location if you are looking to have a good coffee and enjoy a vibe.

Shockingly awful! My daughter and I were visiting Bath for a couple of days and we went to his Cafe Nero twice, firstly on a Friday when there was just one person serving and so it was very slow. But the next day we went again, hoping for better. Yes, there were two people on duty, but only one serving and the other stocking the fridge and ignoring the queue! The "hot" drinks were lukewarm and the mush publicised Amaretto mince pies were stone cold and so lacked flavour of any sort. To make matters worse (see photo) the toilets were simply disgusting and had not been attended to that day - maybe longer, who knows! They were simply disgusting!

Twice I have been here, the first time the toilets upstairs was so disgusting dirty and today I went again and had to use the downstairs disabled toilet to change my 4 month old son and the toilet was revolting, the baby changer was so dirty I didn’t want to put him down on it. It has what I can only describe as feces over it. The nappy bin had to be a meter high and was full to the brim with nappies so it hasn’t been cleaned in god knows how long. It’s safe to say I will definitely not be returning, if that is the state of what the customers are seeing imagine what we don’t see when our drinks are being made. The most unhygienic toilets ever. Public toilets are cleaner than that place.

Quiet when I arrived so there were plenty of tables free. Service was reasonably quick, and there was no queue, which was nice. Peach cake was lovely, and flat white was fine 🙂

An aesthetically pleasing café in Bath. Creates a very authentic Italian feel, even from a chain! The team are always so welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped in for a much needed coffee, I ordered two and no wait at all, we sat at a small table tucked into a corner and soaked up the ambiance..... The coffee was lovely and hit (can't say that for some places) .. full marke to the staff 10/10

I have been to other Caffe Nero shops, and expected high quality, but coffee at this shop didnt taste great, and the cafe wasn't as clean. Also toilets were in really bad shape, with locks broken on one, and without toilet roll.

Avoid rude unhelpful staff especially assistant manager called Akashv. Would not accept my meerkats deal despite being valid as WiFi was not working. When it did work some 20mins later refused to refund the discount and said nothing he could go as transaction was done. No customer service and very unhelpful assistant manage. I asked him for name of the manager but again he refused to give it. As a regular I will not be returning to this branch. They block meerkat deals on their router to avoid using discounts.

There are many Caffè Nero branches in Bath, but I always go to this one. The staff are so friendly and well-trained here, and always make my oat milk mocha to a tee.

Door closer broken, cold in here, but the Aircon is running! Nobody clearing tables. Quite grotty in here.

A Caffè Nero. The Blueberry Cheesecake looked good, wasn't able to try it.

Went here when the Christmas Market was on and it was exceptionally busy, the service was good and the member of staff serving was very apologetic for the wait. The coffee and hot chocolate were great.

The two lads who were working on 8th December are a credit to the company. They're friendly and professional, and the blonde one makes really good drinks. Some sort of problem with another store meant the managers came in to sort everything out. But the lads were on top of it and so professional about the upheaval.

Love this Caffe Nero. Really cute and inviting. Got my green tea and chilled out. Super close to other shops and one of three Caffe Neros in the city centre. I would definitely recommend it for all your favourite Caffe Nero treats.

Staff were lovely as was the coffee

The coffe is on par with other Cafe Neros, but the time it takes to wait for a Click and Collect order is just crazy. It can be well over 10 minutes sometimes. Numerous times I've seen the whole queue move over twice before I received my order that I placed before even entering the shop, on my way to it.

Please fix your USB sockets. For us older folks that need to top up our brick phones.

Filthy disgusting place. Food on floors on tables. The gutter outside is cleaner than the chairs you sit on. Very slow to serve drinks.

Very cheap , great service , amazing places to sit , great atmosphere and the drinks were delicious.

Loved the cakes, shame about the coffee though. Normally Nero's is really good and quality of the drink is A1. Coffee was burnt and even my new to coffee wife could tell. Liked the chairs although they are a bit low. I guess it's ideal if you want people comfortable, but not too comfortable. A good bye as you are leaving doesn't go unnoticed. I'll be back to Nero's, just not this one.

The place was really cold, the coffee was great, it is 5:10, and they will close at 6:00. The staff member with braces, was very nice, and collected all the empty cups. I don't think that single staff member, can prepare the orders, collect empty cups that customers left on the tables, and clean all those dirty tables, add to that, picking up the litter on the floor. I don't know why the americano is prepared using a carton cup for the espresso, then pouring it on top of the hot water in the big ceramic cup, why not prepare the espresso in the ceramic cup, then add hot water to it?

Unfortunately, a big no to that cafe. The staff on duty during our Saturday visit was absolutely lost (1 regular + 1 trainee). We have been waiting half an hour to receive our order that eventually happened to be incomplete and had to wait a bit more for the outstanding coffee. Also, the tables were not clean (old cups and spillages), we had to do it ourselves. We also noticed other people’s drinks were being swapped all over again due to mistakes being made. I understand that some places may be understaffed. Some people undergoing a training, etc. But a big ask to the managers not to put those people on the front line on a busy Saturday afternoon. It only draws the customers away!

No toilets currently working and a couple of drinks not available.

after a long day a just wanted a nice refreshing coffee but when the barista handed me my iced latte it seemed to be 90% ice and 10% coffee what a shame as other cafe neros seems to be pretty good.

No privacy in the toilet due to staff banging on the door.

Schneller, freundlicher Service, gute Auswahl an leckeren Speisen, Panini werden auf Wunsch warm gemacht, sehr guter Kaffee, nur die Toilette ließ zu wünschen übrig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Nice coffee, well presented, and a lovely crispy square for a mid-afternoon rest.

Tables needed clearing and cleaning. Took an age to get served and even when we were being served, to get just a cup of tea and a cup of coffee still took longer than expected. For a city centre coffee shop would of expected a quicker turnover of customer. Not impressed.

Dirty and crockery piled high on tables. Needs a good scrub - walls, chairs, tables, floors and windows. Toilets been out of order for months.

Check your drinks carefully people! We ordered 2 large drinks today, but were served two small drinks in large cups with 2 inches of foam on top..! This is clearly a naughty deliberate strategy to maximise profit. Take note Neros, you've been rumbled!

Unfortunately understaffed and looking a bit the worse for wear. Drinks and service was okay, but the place was shoddy and a bit dirty.

The people working here were rude and seemed miserable. Ruined the experience for us.

We came in for coffee and was disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. There was enough crumbs/food on the walls and ledges where we sat to have lunch off. Obviously not been cleaned for some time. 😫

Went for interview,spent 1 and half hour there,to be told I am not what they are looking for,over 40 years retail experience,which means I'm probably too old as most are taken on at 19

Obviously short-staffed today; I felt sorry for the staff, one of whom was a trainee. Massive queues and very dishevelled — I won't go into details on the toilets! They're probably raking it in, why can't they spruce the place up a bit? Get Spruce Willis in.

Came in to bath today with my sister and decided to come in for coffee the coffee was nice but Went to use the toilet there was no paper and it didn't look clean either that's not good. it's a shame because the standard has always been good before 😞

Quick and easy lunch. Always a great stop here, the staff are pleasant, the tables clean, and they always have a good selection of quick bites and cakes. Our favourite nero in the city centre.
