Caffè Nero in Birmingham

The pistachio and chocolate cake was delightful; however, the coffee was disappointing. I ordered a regular caramel latte, but it was excessively oily and had an unpleasant taste.

The manager i presume, Martin is absolutely wonderful, excellent customer service. Much better than the awful linkstreet shop. The frappè i had was the best ive ever had from there. The service was more than excellent. He went above and beyond and provided a drink that was extraordinary

Neros my favourite coffee shop normally . However miserable and unhelpful staff today at this branch . Don’t bother coming here unless you want your day spoilt by the less than satisfying service. Date is 06.09.2024 at 1.30pm in the hope that managers are aware of which staff are on.

There’s a lovely barista in there and she is so sweet and caring she has really made my week. She was funny but attentive and maintained the brands standard so well! I will be back.

No oat milk for more than 2 months…

I had a great experience at Cafe Nero this morning. The staff Gemma and Abby were great! Friendly ,efficient and fast. Loved my latte. They are a credit to Cafe Nero!

Great atmosphere with ample seating in this branch of Café Nero. Many drinks and treats to choose from. Service was unpleasantly slow, but I appreciate that it was a bit busy. There is a toilet for customers which requires a key from the staff. Overall a good place to stop for a nice coffee and great cakes.

So easy to pass, so difficult to return to - but I find everywhere at New Street like this. Tucked away in a quiet corner next to Five Guys you have to keep your eye on the 🕰️ if you’re catching a 🚂. Fast efficient service as you’d expect at a railway station.

I was pleasantly met with the very warm welcoming confident and friendly customer service on coming into Birmingham after a long train trip. Merin for me was the opitomy of customer care. Most friendly and helpful. This stood out for me & want to a Big Thank you!

Staff seem nice and the place has a decent ambience, but I was served dirty cutlery which was terribly off putting. I usually go there for the yummy sausage roll, but will probably get it to go next time.

The place is infested with mice.

I have been to this place on a few occasions, I go there for coffee as its nice, but my word 2 female staff members are nice ,but awful at serving customers due to none stop talking to each other

Don't bother click and collecting here, staff will ignore you and your order until they have cleared the queue and your standing around like an idiot.

Good cafe to sit for a few hours to have some Coffee and snacks. I had a large Cappuccino and my companion had a Chai Latte with cinnamon syrup. But beware, they don’t have a Toilet.

At the beginning, the staff at the counter were pleasant and friendly. I requested a hot chocolate with cream, but unfortunately, they had to provide it in a takeaway cup due to a broken dishwasher. I politely asked them not to seal the cup to avoid the cream sticking, but the person disagreed. The hot chocolate quantity was less than expected. On a positive note, the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. I enjoyed sipping my hot chocolate while waiting for my train. (Ps: the cup photo is from my last to last visit.)

Staff have no customer service experience at all didn't get greeted or no eye contact at all just snatched our cold sandwiches to be warmed up and then contributed talking to his colleague about something that's not ideal for the work environment wouldn't recommend to go back again... Disposable cups etc left everywhere tables dirty . The manager needs to step up or get sacked

I was visiting Birmingham for the Christmas market so had a quick stop for a hot drink and a bite to eat. I opted for a cortado and a vegetable version of a sausage roll which was delicious served hot. The staff serving were very friendly and it wasn't too busy inside. The decor inside was really nice with old style books inside little nooks next to the booth style tables, really nice touch which made you feel cozy in there.

Good coffee with lovely atmosphere. The one who is really a book person can visit this place. Lots of book option and great view of Birmingham with coffee is the main attraction point of this place.

Came for a large latte. Was a little disappointed in how much they fill the cup, about a third was froth, more like a cappuccino. The decor and atmosphere is nice in here though, better than other coffee chains.

i ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was so good!! i’ve ordered such a simple drink in other branches before but never has it tasted that good. i think it might be all down to the barista. was served by a lovely smiley black haired asian girl. will definitely be coming to this branch again!!

The girls are lovely and the hot chocolate or coffee hits the spot. Serviced in a cheeky little mug which is nice. One of the better Cafe Neros around. Thanks guys.

Went with my 2 daughters to get a coffee and desserts. My girls had bought bubbletea from across the cafe. Lady cleaning the tables said they were not allowed to drink the bubbletea in the cafe and had to 'hide' them under the table although we told her we were ordering cake and coffee from the cafe. Left and went to Little Dessert Shop who didn't mind they had drinks . Been to Costa so many time for coffee and cake and kids never been told to hide their drinks they have bought from somewhere else. No wonder the cafe is half empty whenever you pass and others are packed!

I find this a lovely place to sit. It’s up a corner of the station so you don’t get disturbed by train announcements. It’s a lovely warm place with comfy seating and plenty of charging points. Nice place away from the hustle and bustle to have a rest.

I normally don’t like to write any negative and upset ppl however I m writing this due to Poor Asian girl who was work for cafe nero. Morning 4-3-23 at 9:15 am I bought coffee from B’gham station. Not only my experience but ppl who was waiting in long line. One Asian girl on the till dealings with all customer orders. Taking orders and making orders while other woman who more interested to finish her coffee and checking phone, pretending she is the only one doing everything. I would never hire ppl like that. Not sure you guys paying attention or not but out there a lot ppl who will do more respect their job than her. One star only for Asian girl

I love that this place is open so late! It's a really good place for getting some evening study time in. And the food is delicious. I recommend the tomato soup!

Went it to buy a drink to be able to use the toilet. 3 hours before close, the toilet wasn't available to use. Apparently, they lost the key.

Sorry, this caffè nero has definitely lower standards than others I've been to. Usually the coffee is good here, but our cinnamon lattes were sugary dirty water. Absolutely tasted of nothing. I adore Caffè nero, but here they probably should revise their baristas. Or maybe they were on a lazy mood today. I'm never taking another drink other than espresso here, sorry.

I like Caffè Nero but not the best customer service in this location, and I've been a few times now.

Close to the A gates at Birmingham New Street Station (6 to 12). Plenty of tables to sit at. Some staff rotate from other Caffe Nero's in Birmingham (including the ones closed down).

Busy coffee shop, long queue, big orders… Well, Claudia and Shannon (apologies for spelling) kept their cool and served every customer swiftly, with big smiles. Im actually amazed!

Caffe Nero is a very decent cafe, and although I haven't visited them very much I can always rely on them for a nice coffee. Today I ordered a flat white, and the limited edition 'mystery hot chocolate'. This was being sold as part of the advertising campaign for the new Batman film. I was excited to order it, as it was shown to have a chocolate dusting topping it. The chocolate was in the shape of a question mark. 'What an interesting thing to post as part of my review', I thought. Unfortunately it arrived in a capped paper cup, and upon opening it the foam was plain as can be. Although this left me with some questions, it was but a blemish on a lovely visit to this cafe. Not too crowded, lovely atmosphere and a pretty good cup of coffee 4/5

I almost grab my coffee from here every morning ,, although I respect trainees and I like to support them, it was better if trainee tie hair up instead of running fingers through it💔 ,, other point is not to insert fingers into the cup when want to use it for preparation 💔thank u

Love coming here to sit and do some work. Great cozy place, usually not too busy if you get in early. Has outlets to charge phones, laptops etc. Staff are very friendly too. My go to place if I want somewhere to work or grab coffee with a friend.

Love coming here to complete University work. Relaxing environment and staff are quick and attentive to serve you; they are also knowledgeable in dietary requirements. Staff are always friendly. Able to sit in here for hours.

It's really nice here, it's not massive but it doesnt feel cramped at all, it's got good seating. It's got a nice atmosphere. The staff on the counter are really good as well. The most important bit is obviously the coffee and I'm happy to say its pretty great. Just the right strength and didn't burn the mouth off me when I had a sip.

Fast, clean, efficient, friendly. All staff were polite and welcoming.. cappuccino cake was really nicely flavoured just would ave like it to have been stored in a an airtight container seemed a little dryer than usual, maybe reduce the price more the longer it sits there.

Basic big chain coffee shop. Nothing good or bad worth commenting upon aside from toilet access. Being mindful of less able bodied customers needing the toilet might be wise.

Sure, it's s chain, but with nice staff, good location and lots of charging points, it's the best "lounge" in the station. Just needs a train status screen
