Caffe Nero in Derry

Caffe Nero does a fantastic range of coffees and teas. They also have nice traybakes. The staff are usually nice and the price is decent. A good place to have a coffee.

Was handy for coffee and lunch after the gym but will not be going near it any more. Has always been understaffed and (as the reviews say) not the cleanest, but what has really pushed me to write a bad review are the sandwiches. Really really really under-filled. £6 for a packet sandwich with three tiny slivers of chicken in it l, not worth the money, and their prices went up recently as well! £3 for a packet bun. Went across to the Homebase instead and got a fresh baguette with home made coleslaw and nice home made tray bake and bigger coffee for the same money.

Most of the staff are friendly, but the cafe is filthy. Fabric on seating really needs to be replaced as you can't tell what caused all the stains. With bookshelves etc, it should be the perfect place to sit for an hour, but the dirt is off-putting. Used to meet friends here fortnightly as the location was central, but we've changed venue to The Fat Fox Claudy. It's a ten minute drive out of town, but worth it.

The girls serving, utterly miserable. No smiles, no welcome, only take away cups! The place is ‘dirty’, tables not cleaned! I had to ask!! Barista no! ‘ The best espresso this side of Milan’, absolutely not. In face it’s awful. Coffee machine clearly not looked after! Thank goodness for the increasing number of specialist artisanal coffee producers!! The decor in here is potentially nice - it’s understaffed and therefore unkempt!

This cafe is filthy with dirt. You will never see anyone clean ever. The floor is never mopped. The dish is thick on everything which is a shame as the staff are all so lovely.

Called in today , WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THIS WAS CLEANED? . Tables floor and especially the seating has not been cleaned for a while. I will not be back.

Best coffee shop in the City. Comfortable surroundings very friendly staff and great meeting place. I use it 5 days a week. The ques can be a bit long but that's because it's so popular.

Decent coffee. They were slow to clear the tables and did not sanitise the seating between customers.

Lovely staff and great drinks. Only issue is the cleanliness; tables aren’t cleaned regularly. Usually have to clear the tables ourself before we sit down. Not ideal to touch other people’s drinks and food, please clean the tables!

Service has improved slightly since opening but cleanliness is obviously not a priority . Staff have been observed wiping tables with hand onto floor , under tables not swept & in some instances not wiping tables at all

Nice to see more eating options in Crescent Link. Decent food Offering. Staff are a bit closed off towards customers.

Have been using here since it opened but afraid to say service is very very slow.its getting worse.also im not fond of sitting at tables with other peoples dishes still sitting on them.attitude is poor.back to Costa.

I often find myself in Caffe Nero on a Sunday with the family for an hour or so just to relax over good coffee and catch up with family or friends. A great combination of seating allows for a relaxed atmosphere and the great coffee and pastries helps too. Staff are very helpful and friendly. A Sunday can be busy but good coffee draws a crowd I guess. Recommended for a lazy Sunday with family or friends.

I am a frequent visitor of Caffe Nero in Crescent Link and I think my time there is coming to an end. The coffee is grand for a chain coffee shop. The shop itself is minging. I've worked in a coffee shop similar to this before so I understand a few coffee stains on seats e.t.c but this is next level. The toilets are horrendous. I always assumed it was because I was in later in the day but more recently I've been in early in the morning and they are no different. There is clearly no cleaning rota and if there is, it isn't adhered to. Broken & overflowing bins, hairs all over the toilet, floors look like they haven't seen a mop all their life...even faeces on the floor. The manager is possibly the most unapproachable person I have ever met in my life. She is all fun and games with the other members of staff but when it comes to customer she has zero customer service skills. The other day, an older lady in front of me in the queue asked her what kind of frappes they do and she gave her the most disapproving look and just pointed to the board. This is more than poor customer service skills, this is a lack of basic manners. She is in the wrong job - perhaps she would be better suited in a canteen serving the prisoners of Maghaberry or maybe feeding dogs at a local dog shelter where she doesn't have to interact with humans (someone else can deal with the humans who are looking to rehouse the dogs). I cannot fault the other members of staff.

For the price one pays for their coffee its should be better staffed and cleaned. very busy and long waits, staff seem stretched. Coffee is nice and could be a lovely wee spot but its just too dirty also. no toilet roll at times in toilet and not the cleanest . always having to clear tables yourself (cups never mind stains) the walls are pretty filthy with coffee stains / spillages and windows dirty too - would remind ye of a weatherspoons lol

Location is excellent with lots of free parking and shopping close by. Very comfortable surroundings and the coffee was excellent too. However, the carrot cake was either a little stale, or too dry - otherwise nice spot for a coffee.

This Caffè Nero is nicely laid out and comfortable seating. Service last Sunday evening was a bit abrupt - rather surprised at this unusual lack of service
