Great breakfast menu all freshly prepared.

Quite expensive but the food is lovely. The service and staff are excellent, and there is always a great atmosphere.

The Pickled Duck have 3 locations in Derry - all with very different and nice atmospheres - one on Greenhaw Rd, one in Guildhall Square and one on the quay which is beautiful. Lunches are fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our 'go to' cafe when I lunch with my daughter

Brilliant place to eat in Derry City Centre. Centrally located just off the walls. Food and service was fantastic. Open for breakfast early on a Sunday morning.

Had the best experience here yesterday. A lovely girl greeted us and after I explained my dietary needs she put me at ease and reassured me they could more than cater for my needs. Food was absolutely amazing! Anyone who is Coeliac and like me dairy intolerant too make this your first stop to eat you won't be disappointed! Easy found just round the corner from the bus depot opposite Guild Hall.

What a waste of time, sat for 35 minutes with menu's down waiting for someone to take our orders. 35 minutes later walked out and went to KeyWest where we were sat down gave drinks and fed in the same amount of time waiting for nothing is this badly run establishment.. will not be back.

Went to the picked duck out of town today with my son. They seem to preference regulars over other customers. Staff on the phones behind the counter. 30 minute wait for a cold all day breakfast and Luke warm chips. Not even a decent size. Over priced. Never again

New cafe on quay is lovely setting but I found it expensive for what it is £14 for a fry with tea (1sausage, 1 bacon) is near airport prices lol. Bit much IMO

Food is decent, sausage rolls are great and usually the food is nice. My main issue with this place is the staff. Some of the staff are nice, pleasant and do a great job in busy environment. Others epically the blonde haired lady look like they genuinely hate their job and hate everyone who dares step through the doors. Everything seems like a chore to her and her general attitude is AWFUL. This was a basic lunch, we didn't ask for anything special or anything out of the ordinary but the sighs and the fact she ignores you for as long as physically possible as she is procrastinating in doing her job. I believe everyone deserves to be happy in life and this lady clearly hates every second she spends here and she brings the atmosphere of the cafe plummeting to the ground. I have seen other comments reviews that mention this lady and I hope the owners take notice as it would be a shame to see a place with so much potential being tarnished by the lack of effort and care of one staff member.

It isn't the 1st time that I have been disappointed by certain things here but I keep hoping ( after speaking to staff many times) things will change and improve but unfortunately it seems that my complaint falls on deaf ears. They advertise "fresh cream" but it's obvious that it had came from a can as its more like half wipped milk than cream? Staff are extremely slow and spend alot of time chatting to people who they know and making sure they are OK and then when they do take your order it's either missing something, cold when you have asked for it to be heated or is not what you asked for in the 1st place. If you advertise something on a menu then that should be what you get not a version of it. I've spoken to staff many times and it always a different excuse 1. It's a very hot day so the cream has curdled 2.we ran out of fresh cream yesterday and that's all we could get today 3. Someone forgot to put it back in the fridge and 4. (The worst of all....) it is fresh cream?

Stopped here for a fantastic breakfast driving between Northern Ireland and our day trip out to the Fanad lighthouse/Great Pollet Sea Arch and it was perfect! Food was fast, delicious and conveniently located. I liked their menu options too. We shared the full Irish and a Belgian waffle, both with a great cup of tea and coffee. the waffle came with syrup, strawberries AND Nutella! Can't go wrong here.

Very nice cafe.. Very friendly staff. There is also range of gulten free products. The chicken box was lovely and gulten free 😁We will be back.

Always receive a warm welcome here. Great staff and fabolous food. A definite must to visit for food.

Taking the bite from your mouth! Customer with special dietary requirements recovering from episode of IBS disallowed from consuming sandwich which met personal dietary requirements with menu bought coffee on the premises. Draconian attitude, inconsiderate, poorly handled. Avoid.

Been to the pickled duck twice now. Once in city centre and once here. Both times had the Irish fry, and it's beautiful. It's one of the best Irish frys you can get from a cafe, in my opinion.

I had the Kenchi duck rice. Absolutely delicious and fitted in well with my calorie deficit diet.

Had a cooked breakfast which was excellent. Service was very efficient.

Food is awesome but some of the seating is for sitting and eating and some is just for drinking coffee

Popped in for a quick bite very busy so just had to wait a few minutes. Friendly staff and nice astomspere great selection of light bites and pastries tea /coffee etc. Free parking outside or down the road beside the supermarket.

I would highly recommend this cafe. The food is excellent and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Just had a lovely full breakfast along with my cousin and this included tea for £9.95 each. When I went to pay I was told £24.75 or around that. I said two breakfast's at £9.95 each but I was told not in the evening! We were leaving at 1.15, We were in from 11.40. It was my 1st time here.

I had breakfast this morning in the Pickled Duck out of town. My daughter & myself both had the avocado toast. It was the tastiest avocado toast that we both have had. The gentleman who served us was lovely & very polite and it was a lovely experience. We will definitely be back!

Nice little café on the outskirts of Derry. Free parking outside if you can get one depending on how busy it is. Nice food, pastries, sandwiches, chips and others readily available. Good range of drinks from teas and coffees to soft drinks and water. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

To be fair, the food was perfectly fine. The entire visit, however, was dominated by the extreme and unnecessary rudeness from the porcine lady with the peroxide blonde hair behind the counter. She was consistently impolite, brusque and refused to make eye contact or speak, beyond snarling a price at us. We ended up spending less than we would have otherwise done, and going somewhere else for more teas and a sweet treat. It’s a shame, as otherwise the visit would have been pleasant enough, and the male staff member was perfectly polite. Won’t be visiting again. The only conclusion I can come to is that our accents weren’t acceptable to her, as we have never met her before, and she seemed unfailingly polite and pleasant with everyone else. In 2022 I really didn’t expect to be dealing with this sort of nonsense.

It is an amazingly chilled place to visit with a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are just first class. There is no where else on the city I would want to go to chill out and have a coffee and something to eat. The food is just superb and if you can get there for breakfast then try the omelette as its the best in the world.

Very disappointing food - everything seem to be on the cheap. Cafe is tagged on TripAdvisor providing gluten free, but menu wasn't marked with GF choices and it took some questioning to identify which dishes might be appropriate. We would not return to this cafe.

Nicely furnished, large cafe on the edge of Derry. It can be very popular and the food is good. There's plenty of seating indoors and outside, so usually it's not a problem to get a seat. The menu includes breakfast, hot lunches, sandwiches, salads, cakes and desserts. Nice place to relax with a coffee and cake.

Absolutely beautiful food and great service as always. Carla and Niamh were very helpful we had 2 children with us and they catered for them too. Can’t wait to go back 😊

Just popped in for breakfast & what a treat it was, the staff were very friendly and attentive with great people skills. You felt at ease, no rushing about. The restaurant was spacious &, to a high spect, the menu was straight forward enough having a good selection. The meal itself was excellent very tasty &, no skimping on the quality. Would recommend the pickled duck 100% for value, staff &, the sublime dishes.

6.50 for a chicken box which was small in portion size and also not nice. Then 2.50 for a glass bottle of coke. I will not be back.

Bit of a wait for a table so I would suggest calling ahead . The food was tasty however I got pulled pork and it wasn't great. Rather than it being pulled pork it was more so lumps of pork. Friendly service and good price.

Just popped in for lunch today, as usual food absolutely amazing, if you're a burger person like I am then try the hot box burger. Tasty, fresh local produce. Adherence to covid guidelines 💯 and great service... Definitely give it a try 😉

We regularly visit the Pickled Duck on Greenhaw Road and have always found it to be a very friendly place and the food is great too. Ideal for a sit down lunch and I would recommend it.

Lovely service, great value for delicious food, nice decor! Great Covid protections too. Have a homemade brown sauce that's delicious on their breakfast brioche bap, and their full Irish has everything you could want. Highly recommend it!!
