Caffe Nero in Newham

This is a fantastic cafe, a stand out for Caffe Nero stores. It is always very busy but well controlled. The manager Fabio is always so courteous and offers a friendly, consistent and professional service. He has contributed an incredible amount of his time ensuring exceptional service and training staff on standard control. Kudos to Bea! However, it is very clear he and the full time staff are being pushed too much. Fabio has worked every single day bar one in the past 2-3 weeks. I feel bad for the chap, it is unacceptable that Caffè Nero have forced him to do such hours. He has had to publicly deal with staff resignations without notice, late staff (Sheikh is the worst, he's also made blatant homophobic and misogynistic comments), anti social behavior of youths and unruly guests. And to top it, the AC has been broken for two years where it only blows hot air despite the cold function being enabled. It is currently over 40° in the store. I feel awful for the staff to have to work in these conditions.

Rip off £2.55 for a cup of tea. It's very small cup. Would expect it to be in a pot or at lest a large mug, after all it's only hot water and a tea bag. Costa and Starbucks you get a pot. So I'd advise going there rather than nero.

Very handy Cafe Neros but oh my, what terrible, uncaring employees. The Indian barrista was more interested in chatting with his colleagues than serving customers standing right in front of him. Finally, after trying to make signs to attract his attention, I had no choice but to interrupt his chit-chat with the colleagues and ask if I could get a coffee. He dismissively said "oh sorry, I thought you were with that guy". What guy, the one who left the store 5 minutes earlier? Wouldn't I have left with him, if I was with him? Zero interest in serving customers? And what an attitude! When I mentioned that it's not nice to ignore customers, he starts arguing with me, and argue and argue and argue. Hello? Can I please just have my coffee and get out of this hostile environment where customers are such a bother to you? Seriously antogonistic. How about considering your recruitment and training procedure? By the way, I have only mentioned this empoyee's ethnic race for the purpose of description.

Es triste decir que tuve que irme sin mi café ya que solo había una persona sirviendo y una larga fila de personas. No es un buen sentido comercial. ¡Especialmente el viernes a la hora del almuerzo! ! ! !

Convenient &good coffee. The coffee was rich in flavour and delicious. Unfortunately the environment could have been better well kept.

Had coffee here Friday 20th April. My daughter had been served before I had a chance to tell her to cancel our order. Coffee/croissant fine but outside area where we sat was absolutely disgusting. Tables not cleared, dirty tissues stuffed under the tables, floor was littered with paper and coffee stains, skirting board looked as though they had not been cleaned in months. Walls of the seating area are badly marked with coffee splashes and the seating sofas were marked with cigarette burns. Everywhere absolutely filthy. Went to the loo to find toilet had NO toilet seat, hand-dryer not working and no paper hand towels. The floor was filthy. I asked for the manager who was not in the cafe. I spoke to a waitress who said she would deal with it. No apology, didn’t seem to care. Definietly won’t be back as there is far too much competition with other cafes valuing their customers. Shame on you Cafe Nero. Emailed them on Friday but no reply so far.

great place for your caffeine fix on a long shopping trip- but they have a large array of snacks and lunch foods as well.

Nice place for a meeting with friends and chat, having a coffee, eating a cookie, crackers and others .... good service, good atmosphere music

Nero is my other place for coffee, I love the coffee and the athmosphere. Customer care is very good.

They have good coffees, lattes, cappuccino's. Bakery items, and sandwiches. A nice place to take tea time or coffee break with a friend. Its cute and quaint coffee chain. Really enjoy their lattes and fruit boosters. Very delicious!
