Caffe Cream in Wirral

Just brilliant and one of the best cafés in a park I've experienced!! Brilliant valued deal of large variety of massive melted cheese toasties, any hot drink(tea, coffees or hot chocs) and bag of kettle crisps!! Lovely staff and always different friendly customers to chat to. Love it! Thanks x

Great little dog friendly cafe for before or after your walk in the park. Popular with young families so it can get noisy. At peak times it's hard to get a table but in the warmer months you can sit outside. On the whole the food is great, priced well so what more do you want.

Lovely cappuccinos, can usually get a table here no problem. My Dad loves visiting here from the nearby Park House Care home, it's a real highlight for him. (Edit) sat outside in the sun today, gorgeous Often busy on a Saturday morning but always get a table. Dad loves coming Edit 12-Aug-23: lovely visit today again with Dad had cappuccinos and chunky toast. Memorial garden looking really nice too. Nice tuna melt toasties too

Always love to pop in here after a walk with the dog paticulary on rainy days. Lovely place Service is fantastic even when it's at its busiest staff do their best.

Well placed inside Birkenhead Park with a good range of hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks. Dog friendly, which is a boost, not good from the gluten free side.

Food basic but they do dog sausages ... bit more expensive for what it is but ice creams are lovely and they do a loyalty card which when full is worth having.

Staff trying very hard to cope with demands from many customers. Popular place but selection availability of food by 1pm very limited and still the afternoon to come.

Came here with family for dinner before having a stroll around birkenhead Park we ordered two ham & cheese toasties and two sausage toasties which resulted in a mix up and two items were forgotten but that mistake was forgiven as the toasties were divine they also do a wicked love heart milkshake

The coffee is like dish water it's not nice at all and it's £3.50 they always get our orders wrong. If you are allergic to cows milk then you will definitely want to give them a miss they gave us cows milk when I ask for oat

Nice place to catch up with your friends sadly they don't stock decaf tea so I presume there is no decaf coffee either.

Great place to meet, good food and drink before or after a walk in wonderful Birkenhead Park.

Big, light, modern, airy building. Popular with mums, kids and prams and .... dogs sitting on chairs..... grrrr! Paws on floors, surely, no?! When it's busy, you might be queuing for a while to order your food. Wasn't a great 'gastronomical' experience to be honest. Ordered the cheese and mushroom toasted sandwich @ £5.50 and a medium hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was OK. I couldn't eat the toasted sandwich as they served me a cheese and ham one. Somewhere between the waitress's shorthand and the kitchen crew's eyesight, my vegetarian option got translated into meat haunches. I have had this experience at other dining establishments when ordering mushroom anything. "M" or whatever they write down becomes piggy wiggy ham, grunt snortly gruntly. When pointed out, it was rectified and the pleasant, young lass who served me was sincere and apologetic. While I waited for the replacement porcine-free version to arrive, checking my receipt, I then discovered that I had been overcharged to boot and for a panini, not a toastie. Flippin heck, quelle comedy 'de erreurs'! There then ensued a very confusing conversation with the same waitress, who assured me that the price board was right and the till was wrong. She said that they were waiting for the till to be updated with the new prices, which statement only made me more confused. The price board stated £5.50, not £6, and yet I had been charged £6 by the naughty till. The waitress then said the paninis were the same price. This was also confusing as there are no paninis mentioned on the price board, but the till prints panini on your receipt. This was getting more and more Tommy Cooper-esque. Waitress eventually had a ping light bulb moment of realisation and went to get me a refund, saying, she'd told the manageress as they hadn't realised and that they had been overcharging everyone. Oooo errr missus. I wasn't annoyed, it was just funny but I don't honestly think I'll be rushing back any time soon.

Not a good experience at all, my partner found a coffee bean in her hot chocolate and the bacon was full of fat, when I confronted the manager she didn't seem bothered at all and got a measly sorry then went off to sit down. The place was also very dirty with food all over the floor and tables not cleaned, and staff are all miserable, would advise staying clear of this cafe.

Lovely staff and food, nice place to sit and watch the lovely flower beds and park beyond Having been to the cafe on a number of occasions of late i am so disappointed with the service now, waited 35min for our toast this past sunday, wrong orders going to people, lots of people were complaining to the young girl who was the only one serving and apologising to customers. She was so nice and kept smiling under alot of stress. Well done Charlotte you were really polite and as helpful as you could be. Need to get the back room staff sorted.

Hot Chocolate was luke warm. Staff so miserable, no smiles , no conversation apart from amount to pay. No atmosphere in the venue considering it’s Christmas. No decorations up apart from a tree if your feeling in a Xmas mood and fancy a warm drink I wouldn’t not definitely not Recommend this place and don’t waste hard earned money VERY DISAPPOINTED

Very Very Very poor service waiting for 10mins the 3 staff there didn't even acknowledge me and I was the only one there (9.30am) ended up walking out shame I couldn't leave no stars 😡

Slow service. Poorly trained. barista made every drink the same and no basic customer service (no hello, thank you, have a nice day). Basic hygiene not followed. Watched 10 coffee orders being made with the milk frother with no cleaning between uses. For 20mins not one word to uttered to any of the 10 customers except the amount the owed. People were also queuing in the pick up area only to see a sign later that the order queue was elsewhere. Very poor experience. Felt like it was run by kids with no clue what service they are providing. Either no training or lazy employees slacking while the boss away.

Took over 20 mins to get two coffees even though there was no queue. Coffees were given to drink in even though asked to take out, then just decanted badly into takeaway cups (they were lattes). They were so bad/cold by the time I got it I took one sip and binned it.

Nice café at the Park Visitor Center. Problem is it closes at 4-30 pm which is too early in the summertime.

The food was very nice and all the staff was so friendly and welcoming

Pleasant location with welcoming and helpful staff team. Only had drinks so can't comment fully on refreshments but drinks were fine with generous amounts of cream on mocha and hot chocolate if you wish!

Has toilet facilities. Food was lovely and fresh .

Always enjoy the food at Caffè Cream. Their cheese on toast (cheese on chunky toast )is well up there, followed by an icecream . Simple pleasures.

The cafe in the Park is always busy, there is a nice mix of ages of people, popular with young mums and older folk and those wheelchair bound. The staff are very friendly. There isn't a large menu mostly breakfasts and snacks but the food is good.

Lovely venue with decent views. The kids food was ok and the hot drinks were just right. But oh dear, the baked potatoes were awful. The fillings were fine but the baked potatoes themselves. .. They should be delicious in themselves but these tasted reheated a number of times, were really dry and were grey close to the skin. Was so disappointed as I love a good baked tattie. We didn't complain as we had the kids. I think you need much better quality potatoes and don't reheat. They taste so different when you do.

Every time I visit Birkenhead Park I have to pop in for ice cream. The cafe is a great addition to the park and it a lot better managed than their New Brighton location. Ice Cream is some of the best on the Wirral

Close too early. Even in summer close at 1630..turning people away at 1615 it was a lovely day and kids wanted ice cream..girls wouldn't serve us.

Lemon sorbet in temperature of 28° was lovely and refreshing. As the queue built up, the staff did their best to deal with customers in a timely manner.

Nice place but food isn't the best chips taste like cardboard left in the rain for a week soggy and nasty after taste. Nice ice cream though

Come here quite a bit but my last visit was ok but not the usual standards. The girl at the till kept me standing at the front whilst she turned around and spoken to other staff member. Eventually she served me and was good service. Kids love the ice cream here and the food is brill otherwise.

Very dirty inside the café, tables, chairs and the floor covered in food debris. I asked a young girl if some cleaning could be done, but nothing while I was inside happened. I could also hear comments from other customers about the mess.

Just arrive with my two boys who I promised an ice-cream after school. The young girl on the door said 'we are shut,' it was 3.50pm. I told her 'you shut at 4.' After I told her it was to take out she said rudely 'we have cleaned up!' an proceeded to shut the door in my face. I have witnessed the staff be rude to other customers in the past, this it not a one off occurance. I will not be going back here again! If there was a way to inform management I would. Hopefully this complaint finds its way to them!

Small cafe within visitor centre of local park. 2 coffees & 1 small cake £6.00.Not too bad. Dog friendly outside with seats for owners. Inside, due to modern building and bare walls the noise levels were dreadful and spoiled conversation. Okay for a quick visit.

Excellant.. meet my friends there every week and one of them goes every day for lunch. Friendly staff and good food and lovely ice cream. A fantastic park to walk around too.

Went and got a large cappuccino, was a nice coffee and was good service. Was very busy when we went so was pretty crowded but that can't be helped. Plenty of high chairs for kids too which was helpful

Went for our breakfast after doing the Park Run as a tourist Was busy with other runners as well as other visitorsWe sat outside as we had our two dogs with us but it was a nice morning and a great area to sit out and watch the world go by and appreciate the lovely park Food was plentiful , well cooked and presented Our daughter is vegetarian she was well catered for.Staff was pleasant a must visit very clean A fantastic selection of ice creams which looked really good although did not have one .

Lovely staff but food terrible. Needs some inspiration from somwhere. I know it's not the most affluent of places, Birkenhead, but the food should be a bit more inspiring at this cafe. Chips and crap food. Look at the cafe in Victoria Park in Widness, that should be your template.

Been going to this category a number of years and always found it very friendly bad value for money. Unfortunately my husband has become lactose intolerant and now has to pay 50p more for soya drinks, seems unfair must be more lactose intolerant people out there!

Bit on the pricey side for what you get

Drove out of the way to get something to eat as they advertise on their website that they are open till 4pm. Got there to be told that the kitchen closed at half three. Thanks guys - a real waste of diesel.

A very good and popular venue. It sells a variety of ice-creams which is ideal for cooling you down after spending time enjoying the rest of Birkenhead Park. But it's not just for snacks. It has a large selection of hot and cold foods on offer as well as daily specials. They have a big range of teas and coffees which are very nice. The building itself is quite bright and airy. There's a seating area outside which is always busy especially when the sun is shining. It's surrounded by lovely gardens and grassed areas with seats available to everyone, not just people visiting the café. Well worth a visit.
