Caffe Casa Mia in Hillingdon

£3.5 for a macchiato with boiled milk, served by a grumpy looking man who looked bothered by my order. The atmosphere looks good though, very disappointed...

Went with a few friends for lunch. Only one person seemed to be working. I order one of the breakfast dishes, which varied between not quite cooked enough, and burnt. My friends ordered pasta dishes, and had problems with theirs too. One ordered the pomodoro and said it tasted like the whole thing was dumped out of a can on to her plate! I’m not sure if the problem was only one person doing everything, but I won’t be back to find out.

I had the spaghetti carbonara, and it was the worst I've ever had. Very overpriced for the poor quality food. The service was friendly, but it was busy and understaffed. There is no atmosphere to speak of.

Giovanni is a genial, warm Napolitan who has a typically Italian love of food. The pizza is beautiful - incredibly light and crispy, packed with flavour. There are only 3 options but superbly executed. Dining here is like venturing into a small Italian café and being made to feel at home. Thank you so much - we loved the experience....the Primitivo wine was also top notch.

it's a hidden gem. I tried pizza in several cities around the world, I tried it even in Rome and Naples where the pizza was served for the first time in restaurants, after visiting casa mia restaurant six times in the last two months, I would say without the slightest exaggeration this is the best pizza ever. I got to know the Italian chef Mimo, he is a wonderful, friendly and fun person, the staff is very friendly, but to be honest, the food takes some time to prepare, but it is a unique experience and it is worth it.

Initially seemed ok. However we soon realised that there was only one member of staff. Hence service was very slow and we had to write our own order. The food appeared to be ok albeit a bit too salty. The gentleman was very friendly but unfortunately alone working there. Unfortunately out of 8 of us, 6 got food poisoning. The 2 who didn’t only ate pizza, the others also ate pasta and salad. When we told the restaurant they just said that ‘it’s going around, nothing to do with us’ however I explained this was not the case. They were very dismissive. I checked and their hygiene rating which is 0! Will be checking this with future places for sure!

Staff are wonderful and extremely friendly. One of the best pizzas we have had in the area - we visit 3-4 times a month.

I visited this restaurant today & ordered a homemade soup & coffee. The soup was paletable but small as was the tiny crust of bread served with it. When I went to pay the man tried to give me change for £10 & not the £20 I had given him trying to wrap it in paper(?) until I reminded him as it was still in his hand. I had tipped him even though he didn't deserve it but won't be returning. I have already writen about an experience with another Northwood company who kept the change that should have been given back to me & this would seem to be a regular happening.

Stunning thin base pizza from this cafe on Northwood’s Green Lane. Really thin and fresh. The courtyard at the back is nice too, they’ve made the best of it. Not bad to eat in although looks like a standard cafe inside, however due to the quality of the pizza it’s our new favourite pizza takeaway! Much much nicer than any fast food chain pizza, although Pizza Express is still not bad. Try this place!

Went to Casa Mia for a girls night out. The food was tasty and a special thank you to Eva who was our waitress. She was very attentive friendly patient and nothing was too much for her even though she was rubbing from table to table.

Enjoyed the food but would have expected twice the amount of food or the meal to have been 50% cheaper. Wine really expensive for just a basic house Wine.

Avoid around lunch time; the owner did his best to accommodate a cafe full of customers, but service was painfully slow and clearly chaotic. The food is ok but certainly passable for better options in town. When you wait 20 minutes for a black coffee and 10 minutes just to pay the bill, it begs the question, why didn't I just go to Costa?

Ordered take away pizzas from Casa Mia. They were genuine ITalian style, not too think, not too cheesy, nice tomato sauce. Much better than the chains. Friendly service and reasonably priced.

Their pizza is obviously hand made, the dough home made and it's beautifully cooked. They have a small selection of beers/wines. It's a friendly, relaxed place to visit.

Always have a great Pizza in here. It surprises me that more people don't pop in for a casual dinner.

Wonderful to have a local Italian that serves authentic thin based pizzas with a large variety of toppings. Plenty outdoor space for relaxed dining - ‘weatherproofed’ via wall heaters and creative use of second hand umbrellas! Great personal service from Giovanni and team. Definitely worth a visit.

It’s truly a nice place to have dinner, the staff is very polite, welcoming and make you feel at home. With regards to the food, I recommend it 100%. I tried a pasta bolognese and a pizza 4 formaggi and feel very much happy with the taste of it, I’d definitively come back again. Also I watched the Euro’s Final there with my friends and we all feel happy in overall with this caffe. It’s worth to visit.

We have been a couple of times specifically to eat pizza there (we have visited that cafe in general many times) and I highly recommend it! The pizza is absolutely delicious!! We had the margherita, the pepperoni pizza, the vegeratian pizza and all were simply scrumptious! The pizzas are NOT oily, fully of flavour, freshly made to order using very fresh ingredients. They have lovely outdoor seating at the back which has 3 bench type tables and some two seater tables. Really cosy and nice there. The staff are friendly and always at hand to help. :)

Was passing by in my way to Northwood station. I wanted a coffee so popped in to ask for a takeaway. The coffee beans seemed to be grinded fresh and then prepared for a choice of typical coffee types. I normally have skimmed milk and half alpro which was no problem at all. The coffee was absolutely delicious prepared with perfection. Extremely polite and helpful owner and i noticed a pizza menu. I was told they have a pizzaiolo (trained skilled guy who knows how to make pizza yes there is a technique) who makes them from scratch so will have to try the pizza as a takeaway or decide to sit it the open garden at the back of the coffee shop. 10 out of 10 for caffe casa mia!

Having enjoyed many superb meals at the truly excellent Casa Mia in Hatch End my friend and I decided to try their Northwood cafe today and really wish we hadn't! We sat in the small garden area and after three requests I was served my coffee which was horrible. I ordered a panini and that was served ahead of my friend's garlic pizza. As the panini was so dry I requested some mayo and was shocked to be given a half empty industrial size bottle of mayo instead of the expected sachet used by all other restaurants. My friend's pizza looked like a small portion of garlic bread and even at 50% off was not worth £4.50 as opposed to £9 or thereabouts. At no time did we see any tables or chairs wiped during our visit and the table covered in ash from the overflowing ashtray remained the same throughout our visit. Hand sanitiser at the main entrance, empty bottle of sanitiser on our table. Apart from the food being awful the service was too. Will stick to the absolutely excellent Hatch End branch in future

Clean place. Good service, but paid £7.50 for a salad which was very small and very basic. Plus no Italian food on the menu at lunch, apart from a lasagne. Bit disappointing.

4 of us went for the early bird supper deal. Good value at less than £13.95 each, including a glass of house wine or soft drink. Complimentary bread/butter and olives on table. Very good variety of choices on menu and good quality food and service.

I really enjoy Nancy pizza. It is not just a pizza It is the pizza Sweet and Spicy keep the heart of Italy in really British style

I really enjoyed the Pizza, it was tasty and value for money. We spent a wonderful evening. The owner was really kind and polite. I always feel at home

After ordering lasagne and salad at lunch for £7.30 & it arriving with no cheese on top, a very small portion size and a terrible side salad of lettuce, a few tomato slices and a few cucumber slices; i politely asked the male staff member, "excuse me, this is a very small portion size to which he immediately reverted back with, "what do you want, half a kilo?". I let him know that i do not appreciate his initial response to be rude and insulting. Just genuinely shocked that at the customer service. Anyway i subsequently ate the awful lasagne which on top of no cheese and virtually zero mince in about 2 minutes flat and left never to return. Surprised the place was so busy when we went in.Would not recommend to anyone.

Lovely owner opened the cafe for us for a family function a Sunday.. Great fresh food made for us.. Really accommodating for lots of children.. Would recommend for coffee or a yummy pizza 🍕 ☕ 👍

Great for breakfast or lunch. Always like to pop in for a nibble. One time I was after a Salmon sandwich, they had no salmon so they popped out and bought some. Have to have a Pastel de Nata

Try to visit as often as I can. The food is always delicious and fresh! Lovely welcoming staff and a warm and friendly atmosphere. They cater for all ages, families, couples, solos. A great place to come for a catch up with friends or even just to chill and enjoy some beautiful Italian food! To top it off the owner is always so welcoming and friendly and always delivers outstanding service to us! There’s a car park very close by, so easy to visit and public transport in easy reach too. Will definitely be returning!

Just popped in for a late breakfast & what a nice surprise. Very clean & airey with old school display counters at the back. Plenty of choice on the menu to suit all tastes.My partner & I went for the full English & poached eggs on toast which were very good. The service was also very good & the price fair so as Arnie would say "I'll be back"

This is a very welcoming café. It has a great selection of drinks. Food is good. Prices are extremely good for London. The service was excellent. Recommend grabbing one of the outside tables on a nice day - it's a nice place to chill.

Ideal if you want to have a really good choice of food without being fancy. Basic nicely cooked home style food. Salads, jacket potatoes, omelettes etc. They offer tapas in the evenings, but haven't tried them

We busted this nice little Italian Restaurant in Northwood. Excellent staff and friendly atmosphere. We order few dishes ravioli, Pizza and pasta. Authentic Italian food . Even they took care of my two year grandson with nice pizza and small baby chinos.

I work near this cafe.It has a warm and friendly atmosphere.Sandwiches and snacks freshly made.The main meal menu is varied and again freshly cooked.A place for a catch up snack or coffee.Or a nice lunch or tea.Priced reasonbly.A rare thing these days,not rushed with getting you out once you have eaten!!

This is a lovely local cafe which serves good food at good prices and the staff are lovely. There's a lot of choice and it's a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Hi just opened new Italian tapas! Freshly cooked food, nice quality wines, great atmosphere!! Big car park nearby, free after six pm. Must try, highly recommended 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪! Tutto Italiano!

Popped in initially as somewhere to pass an hour before an appointment but what a lovely surprise. Tasty Italian tapas, gorgeous house wine, decent coffee and friendly service. Will definitely be back when we have more time to spare.
