Spacious cafe with good honest fare. All the usual meals and snacks on offer. I had the soup that was full of veg. Supposed to be crusty bread but came as two slices. On a health kick so did not have cake or get sweets that I really love. Great banter with staff. If you want a light bite toasties and sandwiches on offer. Try it out.

Wonderful cafe, lovely service, very clever and artistically displayed coffee menu, fresh and generous ingredients and the scones are sensational. You know you’re in safe hands when you’re given butter as well as cream and a choice of jams as accompaniments…this team really knows what they’re doing. A gem of a place, strongly recommended.

This café is a fantastic, friendly and accommodating place with great food and good banter. Pets welcome and even given dog biscuits. 100% recommend

Great coffee! First and most important, this was a GOOD cup of coffee. I had the spiced tiffin which was delicious. The staff were so friendly and attentive, it felt like nothing was too much effort. My first trip to Arbroath and if I ever find my back I’ll come here for coffee :-)

Family run business, lovely atmosphere, clean and good food. Tried their home made scone and coffee. So different from store bought ones. Dog friendly, family friendly and pensioner friendly menus! Hard to see such cafes in and around dundee like this. Reasonably priced menu. While I was there, could see that it’s a great place for locals to meet up over a meal. Love to go back here anytime.

Wonderful place. Bit more expensive but if the food is really good, you don't mind paying the little extra. They even have a lovely comfy seated area for breastfeeding Mums which I have not seen before, so very impressed especially as a family member had been out one day for lunch a couple of years ago (not here) and got complaint from a gentleman there so more areas like this need to be available as obviously this natural act still causes disgust for some people. The staff at Cafe Barista were wonderful too. So friendly and smiley.

We were made welcome by all the staff as soon as we entered, even though the cafe was very busy. Our food was very tasty and piping hot, at a very reasonable price. We will be back when we next visit Arbroath.

Waitress was very pleasant and friendly and the coffees and hotchocolates were awesome flavours.

Dire. Looks decent from the outside but, on the inside it's like stepping back into the 80s. Staff scruffy and not particularly welcoming. Despite offering 'all day breakfast' it turned out I couldn't have bacon and eggs, only a breakfast made up of four things. Even the staff couldn't make sense of it. Food was pretty ropey and coffee nothing special.

Good prices for good food. All the customers seemed to know each other, but we didn't feel out of place as tourists.

Family friendly cafe/coffee house on Arbroath high street, with a lovely relaxed feel to it. Food was good, service was good, and cost was reasonable. Was our first visit but we will definitely eat here again soon.

Lovely clean cafe with friendly staff and an extensive menu. We had the breakfast and it was outstanding..

It's okay if you're without a dog, however there are only 2 seats in a small corner where dogs can go which means only one couple could really go in. The said, they provided her with water and a few gravy bones which she loves. The food was nice.

After a long drive and dropping off Mrs Significant other, I went for a wander. Lived in Arbroath as a boy many of your Human Moons ago. This place is welcoming, the food quickly served and very well prepared, then I had an unnecessarily large Rhubarb pie, it was Marvellous (note capital M). Good craic too. Well done all.

Bustling family café in Arbroath's High Street. My macaroni cheese was delicious.

Not sure why this is as popular as it appears to be (with locals, anyway). Cafeteria ambience, basic decor, food okay, but nothing to rave about.

All the people working there were lovely and very patient with the kids. Food was great too 😋

Lovley cup of coffee and food in one of the most scary small towns in Scotland. The seagulls actually attack people leaving from Gregg's.

Normally this is a really nice place but I was severely disappointed today, DO NOT get the all day breakfast the meat products were the lowest possible quality no butcher ingredients used here my egg was over cooked actually burnt everything was swimming in grease just slapped on the plate my toast was under done too. Just a very disappointing visit overall

Friendly staff really keen to make sure we were happy. Proper home made cooked breakfast and lovely fried bread. Tasty coffee and nothing to complain about set me up for an epic party perfectly.

Popped in with a mate for a breakfast roll (lorne and black pudding). Place was very busy and staff rushed off their feet. It was also one of the waitresses first day and to her credit, given how busy it was, she coped admirably. Despite it being so busy, staff still took the time to chat and make sure everything was ok. Great atmosphere about this place. Recommended.

Had the 6 item breakfast which tasted great and was good value. The staff were friendly too. The rest of the menu and offers such as afternoon tea looked great too.

Found this cafe yesterday. Great menu choice, friendly staff and good service. Clean and sanitised between customers. Went back later in the day for another cuppa. Great value.

Came across during a recent visit to Arbroath. My husband had an all day breakfast and I had a coronation chicken sandwich. Good choice of dishes on the menu and well priced.

Was in the cafe yesterday, from minute I walked in the staff made me feel completely welcome, I had an issue with my credit card not working and the owner went above and beyond to fix this problem, I felt slightly upset about my card and the owner put me at ease and nothing was a problem, i would definitely be back very soon

My favourite place to eat as food is always beautifully prepared and reasonably priced, however the attitude of the staff and owners is second to none. I visit very frequently with my family and none of us has ever had any complaints, even when our youngest member invades with her wee doll’s pram. No matter what time we visit there is plenty of choice whether it’s a breakfast or lunch or just a drink and a cake, the same great service is always the same. The fact that is always busy and has a lot of regulars like us speaks volumes.

So me and my family came to this cafe yesterday for some lunch, the staff were very polite and attentive to me and my family, my mother and father ordered coffee which they both said was the best they have had and they have been to many places, My partner has a milk allergy so was offered soya milk which he said was delicious and was very happy that they had alternative milks in to order, we all ordered hot food which came out very Fast and was piping hot. My family all thoroughly enjoyed our food and said it was very tasty we had some scones and tray bakes after which were delicious. My mother has been very anxious about going out since COVID started but the cafe is very well set up following every precaution to stop the spread! It is very clean and the staff are following procedure. The owner was very friendly and chatted away with my mother which made her feel even more at ease. The overall experience was brilliant and me and my family agreed We would definitely return

I have visited here for a meal with family unfortunately I found the women behind the counter rude which I later realised was the cafe owner I will not be back

We popped in here for coffee and cake after a walk at Arbroath. Lovely cafe serving a huge range of dishes, including pensioners specials! Staff were very pleasant and adhering to social distancing/hygiene guidelines. Will definitely return here for lunch some time!

We popped in for hot drinks only as we were passing through, but our drinks were lovely, the service was good and I was very wistfully taken in by the menu - they have a huge selection of meals.

Lovely cafe and staff. Plenty choice on menu although had a coffee and scone on this occasion.

Food was ok, nothing to complain about taste, although the clotted cream (for scone) is served in plastic dish and definitely was bought somewhere else, not made in the cafe. I also found the ambience quite depressing, more because of furniture, not because of the staff. Overall as a tourist - I wouldn't go back, although the locals seem to enjoy it.

Not recommended. Stuffy, smelly space.Feela depressing. Coffe is mediocre at best. Scones are served with supermarket cream and jam. Disappointing experience. Stay away.

Lovely wee place , popped in whilst down at the bank , hubby had scone and a cuppa I had a toastie and coffee . Lovely fresh made scones and toastie cooked to perfection . Will be back for some of them huge pancakes soon .

Caffeine Barista is a great coffee shop. Their baked potatoes are the best, and their selection of different flavoured hot chocolates in the best in town.

Just visited here this morning. Nice welcome when I came in the door. Members of staff all very friendly and felt they couldn't do enough for us. I was in with my disabled daughter who is in a wheelchair and there is plenty of space it's not all crammed in and good large disabled toilet for us to use. The menu selection was vast and the cakes were too die for. Also never seen so many flavours for coffee anywhere. Clean tidy friendly place will Definetly be back especially for the tiffin cake it's my favourite ❤️❤️❤️

All the family and i popped in for lunch on Saturday. Don't know where lynnb was but it wasn't the cafe i was in. The food was great, the service was top notch and very friendly. We all loved the cakes and scones and will defiantly be back soon.

No atmosphere, poor food and disorganised service Disappointing generally despite first appearance which looks ok

We popped in for a late morning hot drink. The cafe was not busy when we arrived but regulars started coming in for lunch. The service was very good, and the staff who were not serving were keeping busy cleaning. We were happy with what we had.The only thing that let this establishment down was the toilet facilities which desperately need to be cleaned properly and refurbished.The skirting boards were dirty and the sanitary ware was mismatched with a very precarious toilet seat.
