Can’t go wrong with a full English (£9) at Cafe Yu. Visit frequently and never lets me down. The quality of food is always great as is the service.

Worst halwa puri these people dont know the exact taste and receipe for halwa puri no taste everything was tasteless and pheeka totally disappointed

Friendly staff. 👍🏼 Food arrived fast, but that’s why the beans tasted like they was microwaved. 👎 The tomatoes tasted like they came out of a can. 👎 I had to ask for the coffees to be given as the food has arrived. When approaching the counter the staff were having a chat and seemed like they forgot about the coffee. 👎 Mushrooms were undercooked in my opinion 👎 Toilet was clean 👍🏼 Eggs were poached nicely 👍🏼 Toast was fresh and crispy 👍🏼 Sausages tastes nice 👍🏼 Would I go here again? No.

Super community cafe, and well worth a detour if you're traveling past. I had the full English breakfast, and full is the word. If you like it a little spicy, go for the beef sausages, excellent!

**Visited Cafe Yu since leaving this and it's only got better, my daughter loves the place and the staff are very welcoming.** Doing a job down the road and found this place by accident. Food was on point, service was pleasant and prices were more than reasonable. Can't grumble and would definitely recommend having a little break here.

Food is great! Owner is not so great. Told me (a paying customer) the toilet was out of service, though I clearly saw one of her staff members went in there and used it, and flushed after they left (hence definitely used the toilet). Also she's not flexible at all with order changes. Apart from that she was friendly-ish I suppose. The rest of the staff are actually great.

Parathas don't get any better in Peterborough than this. Great atmosphere, excellent service.

Worst English Breakfast ever. Should be called desi Breakfast. Wet soggy mushrooms (undercooked and pale). Beef sausages were so spicy inedible. Not good!

This is a go-to place for desi breakfast. Always fresh and tasty. Every time we have out of town visitors, this is the place we definitely take them too. Seating is limited but it's worth the wait.

Had a selection of things. Desi breakfast, halwa puri and keema paratha all great. I’d recommend Getting more artisan bread for the avo toast and proper brioche bread for the French toast.

This is our all time favorite place and has been for a number of years now. Our favs are the 'All Day Breakfast,' 'Kids Breakfast' and now the "Halwa Puri' which is just amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are always warm and polite. Serena is always so welcoming and she's what makes the place what it is today.

The Owner Sarina has become my best friend, she is the most nicest person on earth; her kindness, her manners and how she’ll make you feel at home, the food comes out fresh and hot and you can enjoy it. Yesterday I visit cafe U and it was amazing. The design and architecture itself an amazing piece. I tried dasi nashta nad halwa puri with dasi chai and it was delicious. Quiet and quick service with some smiles. Highly recommend!

My first time in Peterborough and I found this great home feel local Muslim run cafe. Friendly and welcoming staff. Was good to see it was busy and a popular stop for all people of the community eating in or on the go. Menu is a mix of English and Desi - halal breakfast, lunch and some desserts and decent variety of hot drinks. My freshly cooked full English was tasty and nicely presented - washed down with a Desi chai. 2hr parking on the road - overall fabulous experience. One for the bookmark.

This hidden gem in the heart of Peterborough is a great little cafe....the fusion of British and Desi is great. Masala tea is awesome. The decor is comfortable warm and inviting.

Cozy, clean and inviting. Cappuccino just right and came out hot as it should be. Pleasant staff at the till. Recommend for a relaxing lunch or tea break!

Good halal plane. Had halwa puri and Cholays (cholays were small serving but refill free, although taste wise more desired) and kids had panini. Most items are around 8£ and worth it. Good breakfast place. Certainly recommended.

I’m giving this 5 stars, because that’s the maximum allowed here. But in reality, this place deserves 1000 stars. Definitely the best desi breakfast I’ve had in the UK, reminded me of back home. We came here every single morning for the time that we were in Peterborough. Well done Cafe Yu!

A wonderful place for Breakfast/ Lunch. Service is first class and the food is fresh , tasty and great portions. We had the Omelette and a Desi breakfast. Both dishes where made with fresh Ingredients which you can taste and even had a takeaway. A good sign on how this Cafe is valued locally is that people are willing to return if they are busy.

A bit cold walking to the seating area but they turned a heater on when we sat down. Food was ok but a tad bland to my taste buds. Nice idea and good to see it flourish.

Ey ma sha Allah, came in this morning from the and was greeted with a warm smile, by Sabrina, what an amazing service. Service was Second to none and obviously great food as always. Where as I ordered food from Chai wala, and was told it will take 20 to 30 mins, subsequently my daughters decided to come here instead and within 3mins I called back to cancel the order and was told it was already being made and as such can't cancel, anyways after abit of back and forth, I was told my number will be blocked and not to come there again 🤣🤣 anyone would think i was asking for charity. Anyways hope you, Stay blessed and prosperous.

Food is good... but I have given it 3 stars as not happy with changed to full English.... tomatoes are not fresh but tin so are the mushrooms.... thats a shame I changed to 4 stars as now that I know I can ask for fresh tomatoes but the mushrooms I'm sorry to say don't taste fresh

I loved the atmosphere and food when I met a friend here a couple of weeks ago and so took my kids for an after school treat today. We ordered the Desi breakfast, English breakfast and aloo paratha and everything was as delicious as before. Would highly recommend.
