It's my hide spot 🫶 Delicious food – I have tried toasts, cakes, and soup, and also good options of tea and nice coffee. Quite place to read around books or work with laptops (sockets are available).

This cafe should win an award for the slowest service ever. Come here if you enjoy waiting in the queue for long periods of time.

This is my favourite cafe in Bristol. It’s got a cosy vibe and the staff are so nice. The coffee is really good as well… and I love it when I get an amazing piece of latte art too!!

Some of the best coffee in the centre of Bristol while surrounded by books, what more could you ask for? The staff are really friendly and if you’re lucky and you happen to go in during a quiet period you might just get some incredible latte art. Friendly to Remote workers with plenty of power outlets. For these reasons I’ve been coming back here for years

I went in last Saturday and received lovely service from the barista with curly brown hair who helped me choose from the vegan cakes. Will definitely be back again! The rest of the staff were lovely too and clearly worked efficiently as a team.

Barista with the red hair needs an attitude adjustment and/or re-training. Unspeakably rude and abrupt to various customers, including one poor girl who had come to collect her "Too Good to Go" order a few minutes early - would have thought she was committing a heinous crime judging by the welcome she received! Dark haired barista by contrast always friendly and accommodating - props to her for being kind and efficient. Drinks served in takeaway cups as they were closing soon (I think approx 40mins from when we arrived)... Clearly Waterstones care about the customer experience about as much as they care about the planet... Cafe shuts at 5.30 and store shuts at 6 - why the rush?? Could easily shut the café at 5.30 and pay staff until 6 to give them the opportunity to clear up. Not up to the usual Cafe W standard.

Relaxed coffee in a quiet atmosphere, friendly service, below average scone, perfect espresso.

A peaceful atmosphere and good choice of food and drink. Gluten free and dairy free options. Good string strength coffee.

Lovely to be drinking good coffee surrounded by books. Staff friendly and brought my coffee to the table. Appetising selection of cakes. Good for a quick breakfast or snacky lunch.

Great place to read and work with a good coffee.

The waitress was amazing. She was really helpful with my son when I was trying to get him to go ask for a glass of water. She is definitely and asset to the little cafe and we will definitely be back.

One of my favourite place in Bristol Great tea, great cakes, and great food! Plus, it's a really peaceful place to study or read or chat with your friends and family!

Having sandwiches in the display cabinet, which you're not allowed to sell makes zero sense.

A cafe in a bookstore is always a bonus, good coffee here

Currently closed - April/May 2021- but the book shop is open. Pre-covid it was a good place to sit, read and enjoy a coffee and sandwich.

Enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate. Staff friendly.

Forget the cafe,drink in the literature on offer,books and more books and nice staff,very knowledgeable.They also do a nice line in games,toys and 'Things'you didn't think you needed in your life until you walk by the various displays.Like the tempters at the checkout of the supermarket but for the mind.
