Small stall outside Chinese restaurant with basic selection. Weak coffee. Asked to use the loo and was told they didn't have access to the restaurant, then saw the same person inside the restaurant a moment later.

Stopped for a toastie and water. Good value, very friendly staff, very nice toastie indeed. The guy has also offered me some dog treats for 1 pound. Very nice experience!

On a London loop walk and stopped for a ham and cheese toastie for lunch. Been open/ under new ownership for a few weeks only. Run by an ex doctor, passionate about coffee. Not a great food selection atm at 'royal cafe'( new name). But lovely service and thebtoastie was excellent. £4 toastie and £1 bag of walkers. Good value . Just behind the chinese cafe. Better for take outs as only as few seats.

Not bad but if you’re looking for authentically Sri Lankan food, this is not the spot. The menu is strongly anglicised/toned down and is closer to a Sri Lankan fusion type cuisine. The mutton rolls need a mention as being disappointing. It was all potato. Other dishes were OK ish.

Dinner out with friends on a Friday night. Enjoyed the jerk salmon and dessert of cheesecake. Happy with service from Steph would come again.

If you’re visiting the UK and want to try authentic fish and chips, McDermott’s in Forestdale is where I’d take you. This classic British chippy serves simple, traditional fare done exceptionally well—fresh, delicious, and exactly what you’d hope for in this iconic dish. The service is fantastic, whether you’re enjoying your meal in the nicely decorated restaurant or opting for the equally excellent takeaway.
