Significantly knowingly overcharged me for a takeaway. Did not give me a till receipt. I bought 2 x octopus £4.20 ea 2x jars of honey £5.95 ea, one coffee £2, I then asked for a chicken escalope sandwich with cheese and the bill came to £36.10, he did not tell me the price though I know the the prices of the afore mentioned meaning he charged me £13.80 for the sandwich. Homey, cozy and nice. Great food, great snacks and cool tinny market all in one space. The service is relaxed and very warm. Go for the traditional espresso and pastel de nata breakfast and you won’t regret it.

If you are looking for a proper espresso in Epsom don't look any further: this is the place. I am Italian and I like a proper espresso, made in a hot cup, with the proper blend, the proper way. I still can't believe people are paying a premium to go to mainstream places for a simple coffee and get the worst of it. The place is small, but it is a warm family business (which I love). You can find some really nice wine bottles from Portugal (absolutely recommend the Monte Velho) at a reasonable price. The cafe offers also a deli shop with some of the typical Portuguese products, including cheese, bacalao and polpo. They also do the typical bifana, a freshly cooked steak panini which I had when I visited Lisbon, very nice for lunch. It is open only during the day and closed on Sunday. I would say that if you work in the area or are nearby, it is definitely a place worth a stop for a coffee, a quick lunch or to take home some Portuguese deli food.

We often come to this friendly, warm and lovely little café when we're in Epsom. It's a Portugese café, but the staff speak perfect English and are extremely friendly and courteous. Best of all their coffees and hot chocolates are absolutely delicious, and the prices are low. I had a large hot chocolate for £1.50 where in the usual café it would have cost at least £2.50. You can also buy Portugese products, and goodies to eat of which they have many. There is a TV for those who wish to watch that too. The café is basic and down to earth, but comfy and adequate in every way. It is usually quite busy too, which speaks for itself. If you want a basic cafe with really delicious drinks or snacks and friendly, welcoming staff then this is the place to go.

O café sabe-me a Portugal e a cerveja é a nossa.Depois compro sempre azeite, bacalhau e até o nosso arroz carolino. Como disse antes lembra-me um espaço mais de aldeia. Adoro e repito sempre que vamos a Epson.

No frills, friendly and helpful. Really good expresso, great strong cheeses and remarkably tasty snacks especially the pulled pork pasty and the custard tart.

I took a 2 week break in the Lakes in September, and I struggled big time to find a coffee house to match the quality of my local. The coffee they serve is so consistently good, it's made with passion and they don't water down the milk like most do. They do a mean selection of little pastries too. They just can't be beaten on quality and they're extremely welcoming and friendly. Please be patient when it's busy, and you won't be disappointed 😀
