Cafe Twenty Eight in North Lanarkshire

Excellent small cafe near Dunbeth park in Coatbridge. Food is excellent & very well presented, the staff are friendly & very helpful. We had a delicious chicken pie with potatoes & vegetables. The brownies are delicious. We have been many times before & look forward to returning.

We were staying nearby and decided to check this cafe/restaurant out for breakfast. It seemed unusual to find it in the middle of a residential street, but what a find!! Not only was the attention to detail outstanding, we were warmly welcomed and all of our requests were graciously accommodated. Do yourself a favour and dine here as soon as you can.

My friend and I went here today for lunch. The service was fantastic, very friendly, and the staff took the time to explain the specials on offer. I had the soup and sandwiches combo, and my friend had the waffles, bacon, and syrup. The food was delicious. While we were there, we saw them baking cakes, they looked delicious, so we will definitely be back to try them.

I had the duck, my friends had the fish and prawns as well as the carrot and coriander soup. Best lunch I can remember having. The quality of each dish was just fantastic. The chef really knows his craft. We’ll be back soon.

Lovely lunch with my husband today. I chose the prawn and chorizo skewer with warm salad and he had a delicious soup and sandwich. Food was first class and staff very welcoming and hospitable. We made room for coffee and cake and so glad we did! ❤️

This little cafe is an absolute diamond. Great food and coffee but what stands out is the warmth and friendly staff and atmosphere. Great place for a breakfast or lunch with friends and would recommend to anyone!

Had never been before and was recommended by a friend. Such a cosy and friendly atmosphere. Had the full breakfast - the bread was out of this world for the toast and the breakfast was delicious! There were 5 of us and every plate was empty. Excellent portions, great value for money and even better service. Will certainly return. Thank you 😊

Discovered the cafe online when looking for somewhere to lunch near Monklands hospital (its about a mile/15 min walk). Friendly & the food was delicious - ended up going 2 days in a row. Def worth a visit!

1st visit here and we'll definitely be back. Had been at Summerlee and decided to check trip advisor for some lunch recommendations and came across this absolute gem. Soup was possibly the best homemade soup I've had and the brownies were delicious. Staff were fantastic and made sure to check how everything was and take the time to chat.

My son and I visited for breakfast. Both had eggs benedict which was perfect. Great coffee. Best brownie we have tasted. Great service in cosy space. Will be back for sure

Came across this place online and the photos of the food sold it to me. From the moment you walked in the door you could see it was special. The staff, the food, the service - all superb. I had takeaway but can't wait to go back and sit in. Highly recommend!

We ate here recently for lunch. We had booked a table so we’re shown to our reserved table straight away. We were made very welcome and the waitress explained the day’s specials. The food was cooked to order and was excellent. Both the waitress and the owner/ chef came to check that we were enjoying our food and that everything was satisfactory. We also enjoyed desserts which were very obviously made in store that day. Really impressed.

We had the cafe for a private family celebration and couldn’t ask for a better venue for food and service! David created a menu that suited our tastes and our guests including kids and adults. The cafe has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. All of our guests commented on the selection and quality of the food, the sausage roll and cakes were particularly popular! Would highly recommend for an intimate private function and we look forward to visiting again to sample from the rest of the menu.

Communication with owner fantastic. My dietary needs were accommodated so well and all without a fuss or any other customer being aware I had specific needs. Food absolutely devine. Prices were amazing and I was shocked at how small our bill was. Lovely staff amazing food and cafe was so nice too. Thank you for being so kind and accommodating. We had the house waffle with crispy bacon and advocado and sunblushed tomato on brown bread, absolutely delicious. good and friendly service with a warm environment I would definitely return
