Cafe Tucci in Gloucester

Rip off... Thinnest slice of cake in the world and they want you to pay for cream, wtf. Coffee was mediocre. Staff didn't seem to want to be there.

It was a beautiful sunny day and I sat outside with my delicious frothy cappuccino. Prompt service. I shall definitely return to this pleasant little café on my next visit to this area.

Lovely owners. The lunch although limited menu is very nice and coffee tidied for. Best I've had on the quays. Highly recommend.

Only had a coffee a muffin plus a great banana milkshake here shame the muffin was in shrink wrap obviously not made by restaurant and in all fairness not the best. But the milkshake was delicious.

Nice enough location overlooking Gloucester docks. Toilet was very average with a dreadful hand dryer! Prices are very reasonable; get what you pay for! Cookie was very dry but within sell by date.

We ordered Brie and Cranberry Paninis and large Mochas. The Paninis had very little brie in them and were fairly tasteless. The Mochas were weak and not particularly nice.

Poor. Plenty of footfall so complacent in my view. Watery milkshakes, weak coffee, dry cake. Staff vaping outside nearby. Dirty tables. Don't bother.

Lovely coffees in this cafe overlooking the quay/docks . Tables cleared and cleaned regularly and the staff were polite and friendly.

Staff were unbelievably rude. Both of us ordered cake that was very dry, and when we went back to the staff at the counter to ask for something different, attitudes from staff was hostile - we were challenged by one lady who said it was because we ordered a gluten-free cake (unknowingly), not that that should excuse dryness! She shoved her finger in the cake and said, 'Not dry!' as if I was then going to eat it! Called us both liars when we said, 'We didn't realise it was gluten-free cake,' (but again, GF shouldn't affect dryness, have had lovely GF cakes elsewhere!) and we were called liars. My friend was accused of having asked specifically for a GF cake which is nonsense - neither of us need GF and therefore wouldn't need to specify! But hearing this the other 3 members of staff behind the desk thought they'd join in and were just as rude to us. It caused a scene in the café that was unprofessional and totally unnecessary. Felt sorry for the manager who tried to assist us and offered a refund after hearing the staff outburst, who then got an earful from his own team! Shameful! For a business that relies on local customers, they aren't doing a good job of holding onto them. We won't be recommending this place to anyone!

Always a pleasant visit. Very friendly and a good choice of food and drinks. Always seems popular with people.

Stopped here for a light lunch,first class service and a really nice pannini with tuna and salad,could not fault any thing,highly recommended definitely be back

Ordered paninis and drinks. 15 minute wait and not that busy. Food looked very unappealing and the cappuccino was tasteless. When asked if it could be made a bit stronger, lady was quite abrupt. 30p supplement too for decaf. Never had this supplement before. Piece of cake ordered and tiniest slice appeared. Not good value for money. Know businesses are struggling but polite service and appealing food do go a long way.

Ordered 2 toasted ham and cheese sandwiches - they arrived on our table and looked pathetic, 2 limp pieces of brown toast with tasteless ham and cheese inside, no effort had been made, the worst toastie I've ever had. For £4.80 each it was appalling value for money. The only positive was that the service was quick.

Very unfriendly service at the counter. Coffee was weak and tasteless and when I asked for sugar was told to go and get it myself from any of the tables inside.

Really enjoyed my pot of tea and panini on our day trip to Gloucester. The sunshine helped a lot .....

Disinterested staff, average food, simple things from the menu unavailable (soup of the day and cold meat platter) and no toilet paper in the WC. Given the location and opportunity to be great, it was disappointing. There are plenty of other options which are better. The girl taking the orders was our first point of contact and she couldn’t have been more disinterested in us or our order.

Very long wait. Joined the queue at the counter (for some reason they don’t do table service/waitress) you have to queue up at the till to order. Must have been about 9 people in front of me at the till. Took forever. By the time I got to the front I’d forgotten what I was ordering! After placing the order (two coffees) it took a very long time for them to come. Coffee was tasteless, weak. My cappuccino was like a cup of hot milk (no chocolate sprinkles either!) Couldn’t taste the coffee. Most of the tables inside were empty , tables outside full. There is no way they would have coped at full capacity. Looks nice from the outside with a good location but I would never visit again. I’d definitely prefer a chain coffee shop like cafe Nero in future which is a shame

Really disappointed. The staff were friendly enough but the decaf coffee (both Americano and iced latte) were completely tasteless. Such a shame as this is in a really good location.

Had a toasted cheese, onion & tomato sandwich which was very tasty being freshly made. The staff were helpful and obliging.

This is our go to cafe whenever we visit the quays. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious. it's clean and we can sit outside when warmer. All the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Lovely little place in a lovely location. Coffee is divine and so is their gluten free carrot cake. Lovely welcoming environment and friendly staff, great prices too, definitely recommend! Italian music playing which adds the the charm and experience too.

Overlooking the dock basin with outside seating this is an excellent place to sit and people watch, whilst also enjoying drinks and snacks. The sandwiches were a decent size and tasty. Reasonably priced given the attractive location. Service was quick, efficient and friendly.

Went to Gloucester Quays as a day trip, felt a bit hungry. A good choice of food outlets, went to Wetherspoon for panini, service was a bit slow so moved on.Came across caffe tucci, only wanted something light, we had two panini and coffee americano Service quick price reasonable restrictions satisfied with.The panini and coffee were very good. Would recommend this venue.

Coffee was weak and tasted sour. Social distancing was questionable with tables on top of each other. If you are in the ‘vulnerable’ or ‘extremely vulnerable’ group like myself I would advice stay away

I live above Tucci I support them they came every day through lockdown to tend to his plants, cleaning etc

Good service, but avoid the sandwiches - made with the cheapest white bread & margarine! Milkshake was also bland (basically milk with some colouring in!) Could be quickly improved with some better quality ingredients.

The service was efficient and the staff friendly, other than that we weren't impressed. We had a flat white, a cappuccino & 2 slices of cake to take away. Neither of the drinks tasted of coffee - just milk. A flat white is a small, strong coffee with less milk, this one came the same size as a large cappuccino. The cakes were OK at best.I don't like leaving negative reviews, but when there is so much competition in the coffee and cake industry, a busines has to provide excellent products. We chose this venues over one of the giant coffee chains, to support a smaller business - this time it was a mistake - as we binned the lot.

The tuna melt panini was ok but filling was unevenly spread. Covid safety was not good. No sanitizer on entering and no track and trace details taken. No QR code available for NHS system.

best ever Vegan Choc Cake!!! Really friendly staff, very clean facilities, cheap prices, licensed, perfect location overlooking the docks, outside the quays outlet village.

Went hear just for coffee and service and coffee were fine. However observed the waitress wiping down 3 tables with the dane cloth and NO anti viral or any spray causing cross contamination. This is totally unacceptable in Covid regeme we are in.

First choice of jacket potato not available, had toasted sandwich and panini instead which were just ok, service was very slow, my sandwich was served on a plate with a huge chip in it. Despite sitting inside we suffered with the fumes from another customer who was sat outside vaping as the window was open between us. All in all not a pleasant experience.

I visited today with my husband and ordered a Diet Coke and an iced coffee.The iced coffee was disgusting tasted sickly and warm, I asked politely if I could change it as I didn’t like the taste (I was exchanging for a Diet Coke which costed less) .I was greeted with a sarcastic waitress who aggressively said what’s not to like coffee and ice? Didn’t listen to me and just made to feel very uncomfortable in front of other customers. The man also ignored my concern and turned away muttering. Very aggressive behaviour and then I was then asked to pay for another Diet Coke to which I just said forget everything. It was an awful experience and expensive as I paid £4.50 for one Diet Coke.The worst customer experience I have ever known, will never return. Staff need training in customer service.

First time back at Tucci since lockdown and how wonderful to be able to sit outside underneath their new canopies. Delicious coffee and teacake and happy staff. Glad to see that many other people are taking the opportunity whilst in Gloucester Quays to enjoy the experience also.

Food and beverage good, but somewhat indifferent welcome, and wait at the counter ( rather than take the order from a menu at the table.). A bit underwhelming.

Another lovely coffee at Cafe Tucci, this time with something unexpected.. My wife had an image of an angel on her Cafe Latte, when she asked if it was something they did, they were surprised as us.. Is this a sign at Christmas? The staff are as lovely as always and we also had a nice toasted teacake. Merry Christmas..

In Gloucester today on my Birthday and something said to us call into Cafe Tucci. We have walked on by many times before and have never ventured in.. Today was different, we called in and are very pleased we did, what a lovely coffee and lovely service, we chilled out and enjoyed our nice hot coffees. Why did we walk by so many times?? We will be going back the next time we are in town...

It's fantastic to get a non bread-based lunch for a change! Don't you get fed up with panninis & cake? They do those too though...

The best cafe latte we have ever tasted - and that includes those we have had in Italy. A charming young lady served us.

Paré aquí para almorzar como lo habían recomendado. Pedimos 2 papas chaqueta con cóctel de gambas. La comida llegó a su debido tiempo, pero estábamos muy decepcionados con las gambas, no he tenido gambas como esta antes, muy gomosa y sin sabor. Cuando se lo mencioné al personal, estaban menos que interesados y dijeron que nadie más se había quejado ese día. Les pedí que probaran uno pero se negaron. Sorprendido por la falta de interés en lo que un cliente tenía que decir.

Visité por primera vez la semana pasada y no estoy seguro de que volveremos. Aunque el servicio fue muy amable, lo cual siempre es de agradecer, tuve que repetir mi pedido (por 2 bebidas) 3 veces hasta que fue correcto. El café en sí estaba muy caliente y cargado, y el olor a BO era casi abrumador. ¡No es agradable al intentar disfrutar de una buena taza de café!

Tomamos café y paninis y nos sentamos en la terraza que daba a la plaza principal en el área de los muelles. Este lugar es perfecto para ver pasar el mundo. Los paninis de semillas de sésamo eran sabrosos y de tamaño generoso. El personal fue muy atento. Este lugar es definitivamente vale la pena una parada en boxes.

Visited this cafe as a family of 6 as we were walking by... our food was bought out and I asked the waitress for some mayonnaise.. she turned round and said to me, can you go and get it yourself from the till as I am busy.. you should be busy serving customers not tooo busy to be serving customers! I will not be returning to rude staff.

Staff are helpful, polite and welcoming. The shop is pleasant, modern, and a nice play to have a rest good coffee and a reasonable cost and a nice warm toastie. Stayed out of the rain and enjoyed the paper with my food and coffee.

I have read some on the other reviews and feel some are unwarranted. I came up from Bournemouth for a day out and remembered the lovely lunch we had last time. It's a lovely clean place. Good food, yes you might have to wait a little at busy times but it's not a MacDonald so good food take time. Overall 10 out of 10 for this place.

Always great service, very reasonable prices compared to the bigger chains in The Quays. The staff are extremely friendly and pleasant and they don’t give you a sideways look if you’re solo and “dare” to take up one of their tables, like a lot of the others restaurants in the area. I’m rapidly becoming a very satisfied regular!

The cappuccinos were so good that we decided to return for lunch! Friendly welcome. Seating inside and out. Free wifi. Lovely pictures of the Colliseum on the walls. The sandwiches were made to order and had fresh salad on the side. Loos (including disabled). Good value for money.

Stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat early morning. Great service. well no one was ahead of me so I was pleased. Sat outside, watched the world go by. Amazed when my coffee and sandwich arrived. Located on Gloucester Docks, Caffé Tucci is a clean & tidy establishment offering a reasonable menú & a selection of light bites, panini’s, cakes, pastries, coffees, teas, smoothies & soft drinks, etc.

This is a nicely located cafe on the edge of the docks. There are seats both inside and outside. The staff were friendly and polite. We had a tea pot each which had two cups of tea. The cake was a Victoria sponge which was a little dry, but otherwise nice. The price was maybe a pound more than i would have expected.

Stopped off for coffee and a cake, while passing through Gloucester, service was good and cake was lovely, and despite previous reviews, have to say that I really loved the coffee !

Perfectly located but so poorly executed. The only reason you should ever sit in this cafe is if the one next door is full...even then it’s only worth it for some warmth. The coffee tastes like instant. They have never heard of a flat white coffee and joked with me as they handed me a cup of hot milk labelled a latte (wasn’t that either). Dirty tables, staff had no idea. Avoid at almost all costs.

We wanted a quick lunch and this place had what we wanted, Paninnis were a great size and came quickly. If you need a quick lunch stop this is good.

We had 2 chicken and cheese panini's, and 2 ciders, we should have just 1 between us the quality and the ammount of 2 was too much for a light lunch.

Visited on Sunday never been before and really impressed to find a selection of 4 Gluten free cakes to choose from. Cakes were lovely and Coffess as well. Will visit again the next time we are in Gloucester.

Situated on the edge of the revamped dock area in between the retail centre and the city centre.Greatly enjoyed sat outside looking over the summer beach that has been created in the quay area.A substantial mug of quality coffee was enjoyed and although didnt eat today i could see that the paninis that were being brought out looked very nice indeed.The place was packed but only one toilet for male/female/disabled,not good.

Tuvimos un almuerzo increíblemente barato y encantador en este café en los Muelles de Gloucester. Teníamos chaqueta con ensalada de patatas con langostinos y; una salsa de Marie Rose y uno con mayonesa de atún. Fueron los mejores chaquetas que he probado nunca en un café o restaurante y el relleno estaban deliciosos. La sorprendente hecho era que cuesta 3. 95 cada uno, y era para todo; me esperaba pagar extra por la puesta! Las bebidas eran muy razonables. El personal es encantador y cuando le di mi enhorabuena a el hombre detrás del mostrador, que asumí que era el propietario, he oído él pasar a el personal! Un hombre muy agradable trabajar para pienso. Teniendo en cuenta la ubicación, justo en la zona de Muelles no podía entender por qué el lugar no estaba lleno pero, por supuesto, un montón de gente para las cadenas bien conocidas. No te molestes, vaya a Tucci.

Lovely spot and friendly staff, but the absence of skimmed milk option for latte and flat whites should be addressed. Hate going to big name cafe bars...but they do set a standard.

Nothing fancy, very clean, nice location, and not overpriced. The food was fab even though all we had were jacket potatoes. The potatoes were large, with plenty of filling, and served with a side salad. The banana milkshake was fab! Definitely recommend.

Went today the 21 May nice clean cafe nice position, my wife and I went in for a tea coffee and cake and it wasn't busy we ordered and paid and waited over 15 minutes for our drinks we had already eaten our cake people who came in after us for take away drinks in and out within minutes so I said to the bloke behind counter where are our drinks all he said they are coming no apology from him or the girl that eventually brought our drinks and we weren't the only ones waiting today. Like I said nice clean cafe pathetic staff needless to say first and last visit

Good position in the Quays area, very friendly staff who welcome you and bring your refreshments to you. They never rush and its easy to linger and have one more coffee

Not a bad place to eat but staff not sure what they are doing, kept losing who orders were for. We ordered a cappuccino and latte and the cups were mixed up ! Minor things but easy to get right.

Well placed between the historic docks and the Quays, here is a good place for tea or coffee.Inside, it is lounge like and a bit noisy. But the tea and coffee were very good and very well priced; good service too.Only one thing let it down, on the day, a hand drier in the loo did not work.A worthy place to rest your feet , inside or out.

This cafe on Gloucester docks oposite the waterways museum serves the best espresso coffee in the area. Not only that they have a sandwich with crayfish tails and mayo plus salad which is very refreshing.
