£2.95 for the smallest scoop of ice cream you’ve ever seen. It actually didn’t even come out of the cone it was that small. I actually said to the young girl serving - is that it for £2.95 and she replied that she had been told to make the portions smaller! Needless to say I walked away without the ice cream and went up the road to Cadwalladers. By the sounds of the other reviews on here, small portions are a regular occurrence!

We visit Betws about five times a year and more often than not, had our lunch here- it was called the Spinnaker and included the bit now called Nemos. We noticed that they now charge for the small basket of chips ( £1.95) that used to come with the toastie, but the toasties were lovely, lots of thick home style cooked ham,so much so the cat used to have some for supper. Today, my ham and tomato toastie was so small! The poor thing looked pathetic on the plate ( no garnish) as did the tuna and cheese. You had to search for the very thinly sliced ham and two pieces of tomato. The chips came, half a basket, and were cold and greasy. They have even blocked the toilet off- the Alpine next door says it is because of Covid regulations- rubbish. So after thirty years of eating here, in all seasons, we will go somewhere else for lunch; unless you have a tiny appetite and no taste buds avoid!

Pleasant staff, but terrible food and coffee. We ordered two breakfasts. One being a roll filled with Bacon, omelette and a hash brown. Unfortunately it was cold and tasted of very little. It did however seem to be a reasonable portion size. It came with a single sachet of ketchup. The other breakfast was a full English (or Welsh if that’s your thing) and regrettably this was terrible. I would say it was an unreasonable portion size, with the single mushroom cut to only serve half as an example. The ingredients were of poor quality and the food was barely warm despite arriving a good 10 minutes after the roll (because it was fresh from the kitchen!). No sauce was available or provided. The coffee was tepid and bitter. The attached photo is £9 worth. Avoid if possible.

Stopped for a bite of lunch here and order 2 cheese and onion toasties. They were heated cheap bread with a tiny scrap of cheese and raw onion bunged on a plate, not toasted and totally inedible. Presentation was nil. Disgusting for £13.00, don’t bother going here, save your money.

What a dismal experience....having been to Betws-y-coed previously, we were so looking forward to stopping here for a welcome break en route to Llandudno. We couldn't have been more let down. Accepting the issue with COVID-19, there is nowhere to sit inside for refreshments, and very limited space outside. The Latte ( I think that is what was sold to us) was almost undrinkable...in that we both had tablets to take, and managed sufficient sips to do so...then threw the rest away. The saving grace was amazingly good gluten free carrot cake! I think it will be many years before we will be inclined to return....sadly

Just returned from a brilliant weekend break at Four Oaks. Can't fault anything. Brilliant from beginning to end.

Surly staff, serving bland supermarket value range pizza, burgers etc ... at Dick Turpin without a mask prices, in a manky cafe. I'd give it a swerve!

Going to the Dogs? Full of barking yapping dogs, seriously stretching the "well behaved dogs allowed". rule Not a pleasant experience. Pity , but also starting to look a bit scruffy and not smell completely of coffee, which is synonymous of establishments that become infested with dogs. Find somewhere else for a coffee next time.
