Food was nice but service so very slow. Drinks took an age to arrive, had to chase twice and when they arrived they were wrong. Salmon dish not great and wouldn’t order again. Lovely decor but sort staff training as wouldn’t return in a rush.

Found Zaazu by chance on an overnight stop in Tamworth. What a find! Beautiful interior, gracious and friendly staff and exquisite food. We are vegetarian and the waiter was superb in suggesting dishes for us which complemented each other. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area, and they open Monday evenings when so many other places are closed!

Now called Zaazu. If your budget is less than £100 for two probably not for you. But if that's not the case it's a great night out. Decor is lovely, service is fast friendly and professional. Food is on a different level to most Indian restaurants. We attended when a talented singer called Ray performed for nearly two hours Loved it will return.

Lovely place , well decorated, very nice staff always pleasant, I had a birthday voucher from my daughters , one daughter had been before and recommended, it did not disappoint, food was lovely, we had a free starter we to try which was the cauliflower chilli ball and tasted immense, and a free brownie with ice cream which was a lovely touch, our mains were delicious, such a nice taste, all in all a lovely evening, thankyou to all the staff . Service was extremely slow. My dish was quite nice but my partners was awful tasted like it was over salted. He proceeded to vomit when we got home. The beer tasted watered down. The tribute act was disappointing. Will not be visiting again.

This restaurant is now called "Zaazu". My wife and I went on the recommendation of a friend who came with us. As a previous reviewer wrote, this is no ordinary Indian restaurant. The food is of a very high standard in terms of both taste and presentation. The dining room is tastefully decorated and comfortable, exuding a warm, welcoming ambience, even on a Thursday evening when less than half full of diners. The service was impeccable. The menu is quite restricted, compared to the average Indian restaurant, but didn't feel lacking in any way. Clearly, the intention is to offer a selection of well planned dishes which are all a little bit (in some cases, quite a lot) different from those which we might usually expect; and the waiters are very keen to explain terms which might not be as familiar as "Chicken Tikka Masala" or "Prawn Vindaloo"! For starters, we shared the "Zaazu Tasting Platter" (a selection of vegetable samosas, beef tacos, tiger prawns and chicken tikka bites) and a couple of lamb chops (the sharing platter being intended for two diners). The mains were Butter chicken, Beef Brisket Masala and a Rajastani lamb curry. All were pronounced delicious. I cannot possibly rate this establishment too highly. I feel sure it must rank among the best Asian restaurants in the country.

Lovely restaurant, been many times before, always good food and friendly service. Just been to the see the 'Elvis comedian', very funny, a great night of songs and laughs and the best butter chicken I've had. Highly recommend.

Compared to normal today was an awful experience. We had 2 butter chicken, popadoms rice and Naan breads… £50 which is quite expensive. The butter chicken was terrible it was watery, greasy and lacking flavour!!!!

Anoter outstanding evening at the recently re-branded and re-furbished Zaazu restaurant. The delicious food and accompanying drinks were attentively served by Mo and his excellent team in a really vibrant atmospere. The whole occasion was made even more memorable by the entertainment provided by The John Lennon tribute act. Muj, our waiter, was extremely well versed in the menu details and provided expert advice in a very professional manner. Mo's investment in the 'new look' restaurant is no doubt substantial but he most certainly deserves local support for providing such unusual food in such opulent surroundings. We shall be back soon Mo !!.

Recently went to a 15th wedding anniversary celebration here. Having been before there was never a doubt it would be a good night but it went far beyond our expectations. The food was delicious and the service was professional and seemless. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and with our two large tables near the bar area it felt like private function even though there were plenty of other people in the restaurant at the same time. Everyone, especially the staff, we're happy and not concerned when the singing and dancing started too (so thank you all for that). There was live music on the night, a fantastic (soul) singer who did a brilliant variety of music that suited everyone. An incredible and special evening we won't forget. Thank you so much.

The food here is always first class Every visit is worth it and we drive out of our way here to eat as the food is marvellous!!! The service from the team is always good and the kindness respect and hospitality is appreciated every time!
