Best meal iv had from a takeaway, staff are friendly and deliveries are speedy. Looks amazing for a meal to eat in since its had the refurb.

Unfortunately we was not impressed with our visit here, i wouldn’t recommend going unless you dont mind very vey small spaces, i had a tika naan wrap that tasted very bland. The cheese garlic naan also wasnt great. Waited a long while for drinks after making the order, had to ask for empty glassed to be removed off the table due lack of space on the table. It was very busy felt a little to cramped due to sizing. Unfortunately it just was not what i expected at all.

We travel to the area a few times a year and have visited this Indian for the second time. It’s just divine. We love Indian food and go to restaurants all over and it’s rare to find one you want to visit again. The staff are very friendly. The food is outstanding and we love the new decor.

Food is always great, takeaway or eating in. I wouldn't go anywhere else when I want a good indian meal. Definitely recommend the place and I love their Chicken Tikka Balti, best dish, very flavourful, not too hot either.

This place is great for a casual dinner with great food and lovely service. We use them quite regularly for take away as well and we really like the food there. Definitely recommend their naan bread and their Chicken Tikka Balti

As a vegan in a town, vegan fast food can be hard to come by. Also to mention, I haven’t eaten Indian food since being vegan as I find it difficult as traditionally ghee is used in most dishes. To my absolute delight, I discovered Herbs and Spices have an amazing extensive vegan menu! Food was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were big! I had a vegan korma and my mum had vegan masala. I couldn’t recommend more highly. Food was delivered on time, still very hot and the lady who delivered was so pleasant and friendly. I have definitely discovered my new local Indian. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to try the other dishes.

We had our first meal/takeaway from here tonight as we thought we would give it a try. Our bench mark order is prawn puree and an other starter to share, chicken pathia, peshwari naan, chicken Rogan Josh and pilau rice when we try somewhere new. We were not disappointed at all, the chicken was tender and plenty of it, the puree was just how we like it and the chicken chat puree was lovely. Rogan Josh was flavourful and the weird one I like, the pathia was spot on. The guys were lovely and thorough, checking everything was right before we took our order away. Well done guys lovely food, definitely be having a try of the other things on the menu.

I’ve used herbs and spice for many years and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal, they put so much love and attention to their food and to their customers. Always greeted with the warmest of welcomes, and most importantly the food is spectacular! Shah. Tariq and the rest of the staff are so lovely, wouldn’t go anywhere else! Use the Takeaway most times weeks, twice a week. I'm a qualified Chef. Not happy with cold food delivery. Tough more than twice cooked Lamb meat I also want to punch the delivery driver that say's Lamb is tough. Either your chef cannot cook , you serve knacker meat ( not fit) or you want to close your doors.

first time trying het s &spice, had it delivered, it was one of the best curries we have had in such a long time, taste was excellent, great portions, I actually phoned to thank them, standard 100%

not used Herbs for a few years as I thought got a little expensive. but today thought we would give it a go. order on line, took about 1 hour to arrive, £32 for 2 with delivery. food was really good and plenty of it. would defiantly recommend.

Writing this review a little late after looking thru my phone pics and realizing I didn’t leave my review, we dined here during July this year. Food was delicious and although the portions weren’t abundant they were ample in size and we left full. Service was a little slow and we were the only diners as it was early but the food was fresh so I guess that was the reason for the wait so that’s not really a gripe. Haven’t eaten here since as been trying lots of other local restaurants/takeaways since recently moving into the area but will definitely be returning. Have noted a few bad reviews on another forum but we were happy enough so maybe it was just a bad day. Great selection for veg/vegans and reasonably priced.

First time I've been to Atherstone, chose to eat at this Indian restaurant for my main meal of the day. So pleased with my choice. Great food, good portions of starter, side dish and main meal and from their meal deal for the day at £14.95 3courses. Fantastic!! Great tasting Balti and mushroom rice for my main, having had a prawn puree starter plus aportion of onion bhaji with my main. Very good service, friendly guys and a nice atmosphere with other customers on tables nearby. All washed down with a half Coke, yes I was diving. Overall this was a great experience and a most welcome meal after a decent day's work. If I'm down this way again between Nottingham and Birmingham I shall definately re-visit these guys at Herbs and Spice. Thanks for the chance. 🤟😋

Came a few weeks ago for a sit down meal with my boyfriend, we've been back 3 times already. Reasonably priced food, the staff are very friendly and polite, the food was delicious, the shah special delight curry from the chefs recommendations is one to try, we will be back again soon.

I reviewed recently on trip advisor. I gave it 3 stars which to be honest was probably too high. I did say it was hot and has lots of meat. However I also stated my opinion that it was bland and lacked flavour. I also said that it was too expensive and there’s no money off for collection. I left a fair review. I travel extensively as I live on a boat. I am leaving one star now as I am upset by their response to my trip advisor review. They basically called me a liar saying that as my account city showed Bristol, I could not possibly have been there and been served by them as they have good relationships with customers etc. How dare they insinuate that just because I wasn’t impressed with the meal, I was mistaken in the location. I’m not stupid for goodness sake! If they bothered to scroll back I had given them 5 stars in the past but this time it wasn’t so good. Another customer was waiting for food when we were and he also was complaining about the price. It’s extremely arrogant to suggest that just because I gave them a 3 star review I was somehow confused about where I had been and that it couldn’t possibly be that they were sub-standard on this occasion.

On the plus side the food was hot and there was plenty of meat. On the downside it was very underseasoned, and the flavours were nothing special - tasted like it came out of a jar ( not suggesting did but it had that lack of authenticity to the taste). Not sure I would come back especially as it’s so expensive and there’s no money off for collection.

First time tried this Indian. The food was really lovely, generous portions too. They don't serve alcohol but there is plenty of choice on the soft drinks. They have a deal on, 3 courses for £14.95. If your pick is not included in the deal the waiter will tell you. Definitely will go again.

Good food and friendly, attentive service

We ordered a takeaway from Herbs and spices on Tuesday evening, 2 Chicken Balti, mine was chicken tikka balti, with pilau rice. We’ve never had a bad takeaway from Herbs and Spices, and this was no exception. Both our meals were excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time we’re going to have a meal at the restaurant. Wow! Staying local at a campsite and noticed the menu had a great vegan offering so wanted to try it out. What beautiful food! I'm gutted I'm not local or else this would become my regular! We ordered for collection and it was ready promptly at opening and piping hot by the time we returned to the tent! Will definitely make sure to pay a visit whenever we travel down the country.

WOW…. What a little gem. We were out looking for some where to eat when we came across Herbs & Spice in Atherstone. Nice, simple and very clean little restaurant where the chef comes and checks you are happy with his food and can give you a rundown of all the fresh ingredients he used to create the dish. My friend had the best ever the roshni lamb And My wife , of 25 years, who is a vegetarian , well I don’t think I have heard her so complimentary about a meal than I did tonight.She loved her Vegan Masla with lemon rice. We are all full to the brim and very satisfied. 😁👍 Thank you guys , that food was beautiful crafted and very well enjoyed

We had a sit in curry here a year ago which was very bland and tasteless. We decided yesterday to give it another go (as everybody deserves a second chance) we ordered a grill box for 2 to takeaway as everybody has been raving about them. Again we were very disappointed tasteless and greasey we will not be returning. Thank god there is a better curry house the other end if town.

First visit as just passing through. No frills interior but clean and tidy. Very friendly and helpfull service. Good choice on menu with many interesting dishes on offer. First time we have tried this Indian and I can say the food was very good. We had a couple of different dishes and both were great. One of the party is Gluten Intolerant and the website was easy to filter down, hence why we ordered here. I would definitely order from them again

Popped in for an evening meal. Had a great meal service was excellent and food was freshly cooked with fresh ingredients and well presented.all in all a great meal.

First time here for a sit in meal, Don't expect silver service or modern themes ' in fact some of the waiters were on there mat's!! No problem whatsoever. The main thing was that the food was brilliant x2 . Just reminded me of the old place's in Leicester years ago. Brilliant, back next week.

Had a superb meal here whilst staying in town. There is no drinks license (if that is important) but the meals were lovely. Menu had quite a good range of choices. As it was Good Friday, the restaurant was busy with take-out food. However, the waiter/owner was doing his best to cope with the tables being used.

We have a take away every Friday night. The food is always well cooked and well presented. Best take away in our area. The only drawback is that as its so popular you sometimes have to wait a little longer when collecting your food.

Relocated our narrowboats to the area, and had a fantastic curry from these guys. It can be really difficult to find a curry house with more than one or two vegan options. I had the vegan Masala, and it was bloody brilliant. We know where to get our curries from now on! Thanks guys 👍

Shambles, ordered food at 6.30 pm waited an hour for delivery, phoned again and was lied to saying that it would take another half hour, waited another half hour and phoned back and was told just left, and I was given a lecture : you must wait at leadtban jour and half on Saturday evening. No mention of that when I ordered on line. That person I spoke to had a couldn't care less attitude and ibwasbtold don't come here again, very professional and customer caring. If you dont want to be let down and you dontvwant to be insulted give this joint a big wide berth.

Passing through on our narrowboat. Had a few dishes off of their vegan section of the menu and have to say it's one of the nicest Indian meals we've had to date. Food tasted fresh and tasted delicious, the vegan platter tasted homemade and authentic, made it back to our boat nice and hot after collecting and walking back, staff seemed very friendly.

Excellent quality food and substantial portions, will definitely be revisiting this restaurant on my next visit to Atherstone.

Ordering from H&S is like russian roulette. The meals are generally ok and generous portions (note not good or excellent) sometimes they exceed expectations and they are really lovely. Delivery generally is reliable unless it’s peak times - collection you can pretty be sure it won’t be ready and you have to wait 5 minutes minimum.

We were on a canal boat passing through and stopped off for a curry here. Good selection of distinctive dishes and generous portions too. Everything we had was great although I would argue that one of the dishes suffered from too much red colouring. Recommended

Came here by default as no other Indian restaurants were open. One of the best curries I’ve ever had. The portions are a very good size and the quality was outstanding.
