Cafe Rouge - Ruislip in Hillingdon

I made a booking for a birthday dinner for 28 people and every part of the process was brilliant! While booking for a big group Kieran was super helpful with a few dietary requirements and special requests. He made the process easy and quick. The actual dinner was perfect. Seleka was amazing, super helpful and lovely and made it all really special. So were the rest of the staff! The food was all delicious and everyone loved it. They also put our cake on a plate and added candles and some decoration which made it even more special. We will definitely be returning! Thank you to the whole team for making it so lovely :)

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff. I took my partner here for her birthday and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing and so was the service, especially from Christine who was very bubbly happy and making us laugh every time she came over. Would definitely recommend.

We stopped off here on our way home from Ruislip, When we walked in we thought oops this is posher than harvester, its going to be expensive. We had not reserved a table and it looked busy but still they found us a table regardless. The food really was nice, we had starter, main and dessert and all three could not be faulted. The tables are nice with cloth napkins and glasses. The service was excellent and the food was quick to be served. To be fair their prices are not far away from Harvester prices unless you are buying steak. The drink was steep, I had a 330ml of Kai IPA and that cost over £6. However that was the only thing I would say was negative, greatly outweighed by the positives. Would highly recommend and hope to go back again.

Went for Afternoon tea as it was my wife's birthday. Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Would recommend this place very nice.

We have been several times now for breakfast, lunch and also afternoon tea. The food was decent each time. The traditional breakfast and steak/eggs were especially good. The afternoon tea was likewise very nice with everything you would expect at an excellent price point. The a la carte menu is where we were disappointed though. The food was OK but we felt it was overpriced for what it was on the whole. The best dish was the fish and chips which was excellent and one of the cheaper dishes. I would recommend the lunch menu mon-fri if you want a meal that isn't breakfast or afternoon tea, as it's much better value overall than the a la carte. Service was, however, impeccable everytime we went and our waiters couldn't be topped for friendliness on each occasion. Service charge was well deserved 👏

Omelette was a bit cold and eggs Benedict wasn’t appealing in its presentation. Service was good. Sarah was Fantastic. Beautiful smile, friendly and professional!

My brother and i had fantastic steaks last night and i must say Sarah and Lily looked after us brilliantly.they made us feel really welcome and they made our night, thank you so much to both of them .

Food was lovely, service was great. It was a rainy day outside so nice to be inside Browns. Comfortable seats had a nice round table so perfect for a group of 5.

Nibbles and starters are great. Loved the sourdough whole bread, and crab and prawns for starters are good, very tasty. Disappointing mains chateaubriand. The meat was terribly chewy for a medium rare, shame. Wouldn't recommend it at all. Atmosphere is okay, the background music could have been quieter so people wouldn't be shouting at each other while chatting. Friendly service.

Had a family lunch here. The roasts looked very nice and were enjoyed. Our server was lovely and helpful but there were two younger blonde girls that hanged around the bar area mostly that I noticed liked to look around at the customers and laugh between themselves which I found very unprofessional. Otherwise, the other servers were very professional in their manner towards customers and made the atmosphere to be very pleasant. Perhaps more training would be a good idea for the younger servers to bring them up to the others standards, but all in all, it's a lovely cozy restaurant with nice food! Thanks for a lovely lunch!

Flora, our Greek waitress was helpful and kind. When our order went a bit wrong, she swiftly fixed it. Top service and food will go there again!

Lovely cosy venue with parking actually on site which is a must! Service was excellent, felt we were looked after by the staff. Our only reservation was the food wasn’t as good as other similar venues.

This was a great find with top notch service from our lovely waitress Christine.

Good decor, good music, good atmosphere and great food. Rustled up some profiteroles and cream with a candle and two waitresses sang happy birthday….what more can you ask for. All waitresses should be like Florida (actual name).

Both myself and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Browns in Ruislip, we were served by the delightful Florida, who was friendly, cheerful and helpful throughout. We will definitely dine here again and would not hesitate about recommending this establishment to friends and family in the future.

We went in for a Sunday Roast Dinner with the family and I have to say it was absolutely amazing service and delicious food. Very nice relaxing atmosphere and clean. The staff as very friendly and professional. Nathan was our waiter and he was very polite and friendly. Service was excellent and very efficient. Definitely recommend the place and will definitely return back 😊

We went to Browns for lunch on a Saturday. Food was amazing, very tasty. Service was impeccable. We were served by Hanna and she was very professional and polite. We are very pleased with our visit.

Always a lovely meal at Brown’s. They changed up their menu and unfortunately no longer have the British Roast Pork Belly (darn!) but the rest was still good. I think the portion size got a bit smaller as well, and prices went up. But still very good all around and the service is always so lovely. Today’s service from Ela was lovely, thank you.

We had a wonderful date night at Browns, Ela, our waitress was so lovely , very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We had a couple of starters and main courses and delicious. It would have been great to have live piano music playing. We definitely will visit again soon.

Food and service were both good, Just a shame that a restaurant that makes a big deal of lobster only had two defrosted at the start of evening service, meaning that half our group of six had to change their orders. I know they probably don't sell dozens every evening, but if you promote a speciality, there's always a chance people will want to buy it, and it seemed like our experience would be the norm. Thanks for the reply below. Odd that our server told us that if we could wait 45 minutes, the chef could defrost more lobsters...

The venue was fantastic! We came here for a 60th birthday with 30+ guests and had an area dedicated for us. The service was exceptional and we had Vijisha and Adam as our hosts. They were very attentive and the service was 5* everything went smoothly and we were very happy and impressed. The venue was beautifully presented and the interior design was epic. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly with a pianist played during our meal. Thank you and we will be back!

We had a fantastic lunch at Browns. It was our first time there and the food was great, good service and great atmosphere. The interior feels like an upmarket gastropub. Our waitress Seleka was great and kindly checked with the chef regarding my food allergies, then they made me a special meal which I was impressed with. My parents and husband had roasts which they thought were as good as the Grove’s for a better price point. We will definitely be coming back!

Incredible service from Christine, made the experience

I enjoyed my chicken roast. It was very flavourful. The chicken was a tad dryer than what I would expect, but was seasoned well and came with all the trimmings of a good roast dinner. Service was very mixed, considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, it was evident that many people were waiting far too long for drinks and food. It didn't seem as though the restaurant was understaffed on the day either. There were service staff standing around in corners not doing much. Our waitress was very polite and was happy to help us , when she was actually available. For me, I found the piano playing a little loud, the pianist didn't seem to have songs to play, so played just a mishmash of "sound". It was quite grating in the end.
