Cafe Rouge - Ruislip in Hillingdon

Been to various browns dozens of times but was left very disappointed. Bank holiday night so didn't expect an atmosphere, fine. But Burger and chips were cold and bland. My wifes order was incomplete, something basic like chips took forever, when asked for again, so long we cancelled them. No apology. Waitresses talking and swearing to each other so loud that customers could hear. Really terrible night.

Lovely restaurant, good presentation of food. The server named Sarah was lovely and attentive.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, food was very good and the service was outstanding. Many thanks Christine you made us so welcoming. Definitely come back.

We stopped here Saturday morning en route to Wembley for Play off Final. The service was great, if only our second half performance had matched the slickness and efficiency of our server we would be playing Premier League football next year. Full Breakfast for all of our party which everyone enjoyed and managed to sink a few pints to settle the pre match nerves. Browns Ruislip will remain a highlight of 2025 Play off Trip as once again at the 10th time of asking we fail to secure promotion via the play offs. If only we had been to Browns Ruislip on the previous 9 occasions it would all been easier to take. Very much recommend this place if you are in the area. See you next year.

Delicious English breakfast! I didn’t try any of their other dishes and because I ordered something basic, I feel like Brown’s is basic (but still staple). The latte was fab too!

The place and servers were very welcoming. We were greeted and seated by the Manager and was later served by Christine. It’s easily noticeable that there was a constant communication amongst the team. Christine always checked on us all the time and made sure that we were enjoying our food and time at the Browns. Great place overall! ☺️

Sarah was our waitress. She has served me numerous times. She’s very hospitable with a cheery disposition. She’s worked he for a long time and her gleaming smile when she serves you is an asset to this venue. We were seated inside and I asked to sit in the garden and it was no problem. We had flowing drinks. Food was lovely and so was the weather. She performed above and beyond the usual front of house expected duties. I believe if you don’t ask you don’t get… Sarah delivered. We will be returning

We had a lovely time dining here. Although the greeter wasn’t particularly welcoming, our waiter was excellent—attentive and friendly. We received exactly what we ordered, and the food was very tasty. While the portion sizes were a bit small for the price, the overall atmosphere made up for it. We walked in without a reservation and were seated promptly. Another plus: there’s free onsite parking. Definitely a great spot for either lunch or dinner.

Waited at the check-in desk for 10 minutes basically being ignored- despite making eye contact with several servers-went to the bar to ask for service - once seated the service was good and the food nice although the crab toast was an inch square of brioche with crab and dressings which disappeared in 3 bites. The main slow cooked pork with scallops was good and the dessert amaretti peaches was lovely .

Afternoon tea was OK but more sandwiches needed. Tried to charge for the included tea and coffee

We visited browns in Ruislip table booked at 8.15 when we entered a gentleman in beige jacket showed us to our table. No hello or smile. Showed us to our table and left without saying a word. We waited 20 mins for someone to take drinks. I had my 6 year old grandson with me. Waited over 40 mins for chips and water for him Our starters order was taken wrong What a unfriendly and terrible service was given to us Would have think twice before I recommend or go there again.

The food is of high quality and tasty but, it's cheeky to ask £11,50 for the Crab on Toast, Flaked Devon white crab, lobster infused aioli, dill, toasted brioche. That's not a starter, that's a teeny tiny taster. I could barely see the dish when it arrived on the plate. As for staff, we had a warm welcome at the door and the bar. The girl who was serving asked if we had finished our lunch, but forgot to ask what we thought of it.

Vegetarian breakfast is yummy and hits the hunger just right 😋

What a disaster! Came here to celebrate Mother’s Day dinner. Service was slow and I guess this is expected considering its busy day. I ordered for a Sunday Roast. They only served me a burnt overcooked completely dry chicken which was super tiny. The food lacked any kind taste or excitement. The waitress was kind enough to replace my order with another one and the next was terrible too.

We had a really lovely time for my friends special birthday. The decor is gorgeous and the food and service was fabulous. We were very well looked after by Sarah, we will definitely be back 👍

We had lunch at Brown's for a special birthday celebration. Wonderful food, hot and tasty. 5 gold stars to the chef! Didnt wait long for service. A truly warm atmosphere and 5 gold stars to our lovely waitress, Florida who looked after us so very well, kept checking to see if we were happy and with our excellent food.

The food was cold when it should have been hot. We had to ask for the early evening menu having only been given the al a carte menu. The Ravioli was small in size, tasteless and not warm. The singer was the only decent thing.I shall not be returning in a hurry

Food was lovely, service was great again. You order at the bar then the friendly staff bring your drinks and food to the table when it is ready. It was a rainy day outside so nice to be inside Browns. Comfortable seats had a nice round table so perfect for a group of 5. Clean toilets with both soap and hand moisturiser. Lots of parking, you enter your registration number on entering Brown's then you get 6 hours of free parking. Nice inside seating either in the main restaurant or the bar area. Also lots of nice seating in a well maintained garden. On a sunny day there is a pagoda for shade or seating in the sunshine 🌞. There is lots of choice on the breakfast and brunch menu for meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan eaters. You can also add to your meal from the extras list. I have been too Browns many times on my day off for breakfast with friends and always friendly staff and great food and atmosphere. I would recommend a visit.

Had a lovely time at Browns Ruislip, it was a Sunday there was a pianist playing which was a nice touch. Also Sarah our server was fab, she was so friendly & couldn’t do enough for us even when she was clearly very busy. Only down side I would say was the Afternoon tea, 2 of us had it & we felt there were so many sweet options & not enough savoury/sandwiches. But overall we had a great time

Came for a Sunday roast and it was lovely! Atmosphere was very pleasant with soft background piano music. Our server Sarah was absolutely brilliant! Absolutely loved the night. The service was 10/10, the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Our Starters and mains were very delicious, all top quality meat. Seating was very spacious and comfortable. Make sure you prebook as this place is always busy... in a good way. Will say the menu print was bit small and hard to see especially with not the brightest of lights, but that sets the atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I spent Valentine’s Day at Browns Ruislip. The whole evening was great! From the welcome to the atmosphere and of course the food was delicious. Our server for the evening was Florida, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! She was extremely kind and welcoming, and brought a really good energy to her work.

Browns has a beautiful atmosphere, though the service was noticeably slow. That said, the waitress was incredibly friendly and gave excellent recommendations. The caramel éclairs were an absolute highlight.

Amazing atmosphere on the first day of the year! Fantastic choice of the Music that played at the right level so that it keeps you festive but also take part in conversation.Food was like homemade from the burgers to the snitchel. The cocktails made with care from the bartenders and this made it taste even better. Great restaurant.
