We found this great little place upon going for a drive north east of the island and so glad we stopped. Lovely little cafe with gorgeous views. The food and drinks were all delicious. The staff were very nice and welcoming too. Local art on sale here and a great convenience store.

We’ve been in a few times this past month. The most recent we had lunch: home made soup, toasties and fish’n’chips. Excellent value and really tasty. A superb community shop and service in the old school house at Knock

Off to knock to see what all the fuss was about, as the girl next door had said they did great food, good prices. So true great access for my father with his stroller, service was spot on and the food and coffee was top quality, great wee place and we will be back, must be good as 4 bikers turned up and they had come all the way from Ireland

We visited here again for lunch during our recent visit with family. The chef was a bit rushed being on his own. That said service was hard to fault and the food quality was excellent and very good value. We will visit again.

We decided to visit today for a breakfast as we had heard they were very good. The breakfast was freshly cooked and comes with tea or coffee. The café also offer a vegetarian breakfast which was excellent. We are finding community cafés on Lewis such as this one are excellent value for money and we look forward to going back again on our next visit.

We called here for a cup of tea and were made exceedingly welcome. Although we had our dog with us and therefore could not sit inside, the lady serving went out of her way to provide takeaway food including a snack for the dog!

Friends had recommended Cafe Roo so after a walk on the beach we decided to try it. The cafe and well stocked shop are in a former school and there is plenty of parking. We had a panini and fish and chips with drinks for £13 in total. Amazing value and the fish and chips were far better than some other more expensive restaurants we have eaten in. We will definitely go back.

Wen to the café for a bite of lunch and was really impressed with the menu and the food that we were presented with. It makes use of a number of locally sourced foods, which is really good to see. We had panini with various fillings, and they were very tasty, as was the side salad. The home baking on display looked great too, but didn't indulge, as we were full. The associated shop also stock a great range of locally sourced foodstuffs, as well as some cupboard staples.

After exploring Point, the Eye Peninsula, we stopped to have a look at the shop and café in the old schoolhouse with the intention of having a brew and a bun. After a look round the shop and café this turned into coffee and food. Both the crabcakes and seafood were tasty and generously portioned for the price; the coffee and fruit scone excellent. The shop has an excellent variety of general groceries for it's size and some excellent locally made dishes. A small but interesting section of bottles of malt whisky; however the wine selection was pretty run of the vineyard - however there should be something for most tastes. We'll be back. Note - as with almost every thing on Lewis and Harris it does not open on Sundays. (Not a complaint.)

This was our second visit to Mollins, and if we are back on Lewis again we will return. We ordered a large haddock and chips, black pudding supper, and 2 macaroni with chips. My wife has coeliac so requires a safe place to eat gluten free, the staff have a great knowledge of the condition which means it’s pretty safe from cross contamination. The staff are also very friendly. My wife stated this was the best gluten free fish supper she had eaten, the other meals were also very tasty. The cost won’t break the bank either. I would advise you to book online in advance as we seen a few walk ins disappointed as the slots were full. We also go an extra 3 pieces of fish due to a mix up with another order.

Tucked away on the other side of the pier, this is a fantastic takeaway, the taster box was delicious and so fresh. Loved the scallops which were perfectly cooked. Thank you.

Inspired by the “EatDrinkHebrides” trail map, popped in to collect a picnic lunch during a Hebridean road trip. We had the most amazing toasties and hot chocolate. Handy for the ferry. Worth a detour!!

Stunning view and friendly, efficient staff in a small family-run hotel. The quality of food was excellent, but fully grown humans may wish to order two main courses each, such was the rather miserly amount of actual food - scallops and monkfish respective.y - on our plates. Top marks for presentation and taste, but would have loved a little more.
