Cafe Regal in Bradford

Ordered a cake asking specifically for fresh cream cake not the new cheaper cream used, the girls at the counter said don’t worry it would be fresh sweet cream. Family collected the cake and it was not fresh cream at all. The cream used is obviously longer lasting which can be decorated quickly but if customers are asking for fresh cream why can’t they be made?

Amazing food, amazing service as always, decent prices, one of the most under rated places in Bradford, highly recommend!

Ask to staff for ketchup and mayo 3 time then we waiting for green tea didn't receive

Best naan and juiciest seekh kebabs I've had in Bradford.

Lovely owners who were very attentive. We travelled from London and made a pit stop for some traditional Pakistani food and we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious food with massive portions! If you’re local it a must try! They also have amazing cakes and deserts!

Authentic Pakistani breakfast. Love their halwa puri. Some of their dishes are very good like lamb karahi, samosa chaat, Lahori fish. I wouldn’t recommend their bhindi, Chapli kebab and shami kebab.

Food is still nice, but portions have reduced in size. Lots of new workers with little experiance, or knowledge of customer service Wanted some asain sweets at the end but waited ages as no one was Manning the sweet side of the business. Popular place it seems, as some rich and showoffs were parading their expensive cars there. Food was good, service friendly and atmosphere cordial. They seem a bit stingy with the condiments and salad plates. For a party of 7, we were given a small salad plate with about 4 pieces each cucumber and tomato and lettuce. They would presumably give the same to a single customer!?😜 Went again August 2024. Same atmosphere, food a little bit mediocre but ok. The young girl waitress couldn't fully understand simple English. Falooda sweet was yummy.

Food absolutely spicy, waited 10 minutes after food come for my tea, daal was not cooked correctly was uncooked and filled with a tone of spices. Would not recommend this place at all workers would get carried away with customers who they knew and would ignore customers around them absolutely horrible.

Our first time in this place and the service was quick and the food was delightful. This place beats any curry house I have ever been to. The lamb chops starter and the chicken samosas were gorgeous. Both main meals arrived red hot and were served with Rotis and garlic naans as requested. Great first visit and choose to return soon.

Ordered some grilled food, it came out in 3 minutes , asked them if it was fresh, he said yes, tasted off, chicken karahi tasted off , manager was awkward wouldn’t go again.

I've got take aways from here lots of times over the years. Food is always good. Place is v clean. Staff are friendly. Samosas and pakoras to take out are especially good

We had our barat for my brother here today and it was so beautiful, the staff went above and beyond for us, especially Alisha, food was fantastic, they gave us so much good food, chicken kebab, seekh kebab, samosas, tea and rasmali, perfect place to dine at

Amazing food and lovely staff. I’m based in leicester but whenever I go to bradford to see my friends, we go to regal for breakfast or lunch. Everything’s 10/10. Highly recommended

So we ordered Nihari, Keema paratha, orange juice and tea.Specifically stating that we need drinks with food.Keema paratha was undercooked and orange juice never came despite asking for it thrice. Pathetic service considering they have 5-10 workers around doing nothing. When we tried to raise a complaint, they told manager is not around. Will never recommend this place to anyone!

Went to Cafe Regal for breakfast which is located on White Abbey Road in Bradford. Overall experience was nice with welcoming staff and friendly environment, Place offers a blend of South Asian cuisine alongside traditional western dishes. It serves a variety of meals throughout the day, including popular desi breakfasts like halwa poori and chana, as well as extensive lunch and dinner options such as keema paratha, masala fish, and lamb. We ordered patathas and specially aloo paratha and desi Chai was really nice. Came fresh and warm. There is a lot of sitting space with multiple big family table. It has buffet options of breakfast during weekend.

Did a retirement party for my Dad at the Regal Lodge arranged by Aleysha who was extremely helpful and flexible throughout. Food and service was amazing

Ruined our extended family Eid meal. Booked a table for 20 which was acceptable. Called again to confirm booking on morning of Eid and she told us the name we had booked it in, and confirmed it was booked. We arrived on time only to be told that they didn’t have our reservation and don’t take bookings! A shambles of a business!

Refused to seat us despite us confirming twice over the phone that we had a reservation. 20 of us turned up and had to make last min reservations elsewhere

We order paya nihari and haleem we expected lamb haleem and we got chicken all of them were tasteless we didn’t even enjoyed it and the prices were too high. Never gonna go again

Breakfast buffet with two types of chanay, aalu, kaleji, masala wings, halwa and chutney etc. In other options, haleem and nihari are good with a naan. Desi tea to wash all down. Kids love fried eggs and paratha.

Very oily tastless currys. Matai also was not fit for human consumption. Overpriced

TERRIBLE SERVICE WITH RAW STARTERS! Starters: 0/10 Uncooked lamb chops served where blood could be seen once they were bitten into. Made me sick and I had to go to the toilet. Complained regarding this and I was told they would not charge for the lamb chops. Main Course: 2/10 Brought out the main courses however forgot the plates. Food got cold and we had to remind them twice for the plates. One of the plates had a chip on the edge that cut my finger. Nan Bread: 0/10 Thin like a popadom - terrible Salad: 0/10 Looked like it was from the day before In the end I was charged for the lamb chops starter by the front staff as the manager decided he would not take that off the bill. He was nowhere to be seen!!! When we complained the next day by telephone we were told the manager would be at the restaurant within the hour and promised a callback. Nobody called - terrible customer service WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

2nd visit last weekend' Family visit this time, we had buffet again Puries too oily, gentlemen was happy to change for a naan at no extra charge. Kids enjoyed Egg paratha roll and omelette paratha. Fresh orange juices...Karak chai was good and my thermos was topped up complementary. Until the next time... A decent breakfast in a good location and set-up. Was busy, service was good... Had the buffet and a generous serving of 3 Puries. Young Mario welcomed us with a warm smile... Quality of Desi Tea needs improving and Puries were a little on the oily side. Cash Only too, we had to bank transfer 😂

Decent chicken achari and naan, was nearby and just needed dinner. Fairly quiet for a Monday and quick service, naan was fresh and soft.

Great for break fast but the prices are not very good. The Jug of Lassi cost you more than £11 pound which is quite shocking and also no value for money. Rest the Breakfast we ordered was Chana Puri/Halwa. Channa and puri was good, Halwa was below average they used to have good best halwa in town. Portion of Chana Puri cost you £9 with 3 Puri which is not bad. Service was fantastic and quick.

Never disappoints, always great food anytime of the day you pop in the food and then the tea is on point, if you want a good curry with roti or naan then this is the place, always happy with the food if there are any issues they will sort it out been going for many years and regulars the food is just homely and on point, best parantas by far.

The desi breakfast is definitely worth having. Just reminds you of home...

Travelled today and this was the first place I eat at before going shopping. The wait for 2 cups of tea was 25 - 30 minutes, my full mixed grill platter came before both cups of tea and the cafe was hardly busy. The food wait was 25 minutes which I didn't mind. The food was okay, we left to do shopping and I'm embarrassed to say I had to find a toilet because my belly was cramping so bad from this food I was on the toilet for 15 minutes I'm sure you can guess why. I never use toilets when I'm outside but this was the first time I had to. We won't be back again but the staff were lovely.

The breakfast buffet I experienced was subpar and did not meet my expectations at all. In the buffet, they offer channa salan, aalo bhujia, and halwa puri for £15 per person. Other items must be purchased separately. Worse experience ever.

Everything was good but feel some rudity came out from the people who are sat at the end of the table

Very disappointed in my recent purchase. I bought 2 mitaai hampers for Eid. They looked ok upon collection. However, once opened the barfi was rotten with things growing inside of it. I called the shop twice to speak to the manager and instead of taking accountability and apologising the person who answered the phone became defensive. Not impressed at all and will not be going back and furthermore I do not recommend this shop to people.

Was recommended by someone to come try this place out... Ordered a jumbo mixed grill, lamb karahi, chicken karahi, naan/roti and some fries Mixed Grill contained 8 chicken tikka pieces, 4 mutton chops, 4 chicken wings, 2 meat sheekh kebabs, 2 chicken sheekh kebabs Mutton chops were nice and tasty, likewise the meat sheekh kebabs, the rest of the grill food was average taste wise. The chicken karahi had decent flavour and tasted lovely, but the highlight of the evening was the lamb karahi, meat was nice and tender and very flavoursome... Washed it all down with a desi tea at the end of the meal... All in all an enjoyable experience....

Food is ok, parking is good, clean and quick service. Slightly expensive, tea was no good. Halwa puri was ok. Omelette and pratha no good. Pai and lasi was tasty

I booked the room for a birthday party today, from the initial meeting to the actual party Manager Aleysha handled everything very professionally. The whole birthday party was perfect thanks to everything being very well organized by Aleysha and the waiter being so efficient. A really big personal thank you for ensuring the room set up, the food and the the customer service was 100%. I would definitely recommend to all my family and friends. We will definitely be back. I came to regal today, bought some mithai a d it was really hard, not fresh at all. Everyone would like fresh mithai, when you like to eat it occasionally.

Food was mediocre. Had the fish masaala, which was tasteless. The two curries I had fish and a chicken saag. The fish one was quite nice but the other lacked flavour. The roti are nice. Deserts the family liked falooda. I had a cornflake cake with custard. The tart was small and drowned in custard, which was not warm enough. Tables were not cleaned properly, and the men's toilets were dangerous, being a wet floor with no warning sign. The thing is, it wasn't even busy. Next time in Bradford, I will be avoiding Regal.

Yesterday I went I wanted to try their famous poori chana but it was lunch time we request them to get one plate only but they denied I am a food blogger and I wanted to try Pakistani food bad experience I ordered tea it was unboiled and tasteless

Visited today from Newcastle food was burnt bad smell water of money.

Food awful female waitress doesn’t listen such a waste of time no flavour felt ignored after order a curry 4 times stil came wrong and bland with too much tomatos, won’t be coming back!!

Excellent quality food especially if your going for breakfast as there's good variety. Cost is also very reasonable

The food was cold not cooked properly tables was not clean overpriced it was my last visit with my family will never go back again. Avoid to go this un healthy food place.

Desi nashta not all that sorry. Halva was nice but no flavour in the Cholay. The puris were OK. For the premium prices maybe serve nashta in nicer bartan and a traditional cup for desi tea.

We ordered the mix grill starter, lamb Karahi, chicken karahi (half kg), chips and kulcha naans. For drinks we ordered the virgin mojitos. The food was absolutely delicious, the curry’s were the right amount of spices and the kulcha naans with the sesame seeds were some of the best naans I’ve had in any restaurant in the UK. The mojito was a bit sweet for my liking but nevertheless we still enjoyed it as it was refreshing.

Visited for breakfast Not the breakfast buffet which is on weekend only Service was great, order was taken instantly, then were updated on arriving soon and it did. Channay (chickpeas) were nice 8/10 Plain Paratha was good 9/10 Puri was good as it was not too oily even though fried 8/10 Halwa was bit sugary to me as i consume less sugar not too oily 8/10 Desi Tea was good 9/10 Few things need attention cutlery requires bit extra scrubbing 🧽 thats why 4 stars

Poori chany needs significant improvment, i would advise management to try only once this restaurant below for poori chany and then see the significant difference: Nafees Sweet Centre, 616 Stockport Rd Regards

Authentic food, lovely service and great prices every single time.

Mashallah food was beautiful as always, service was brilliant, staff absolutely well mannered will be visiting here again I highly recommend if you do go do try there charsi karahi👌🏽Mouthwatering isn’t even the word it was absolutely delicious.

I been there from Rochdale and ordered Nihari and chana with naan. Chana was totally tasteless, taste was like boiled chickpeas and Nihari was average. I can say it’s not a Desi/ Pakistani Breakfast.

Came out for hubbys birthday to find this place was not only filthy and sticky (the tables were giving not cleaned for years vibes) the staff just stand and dont bother to come ask if youre ready to order. I am so so glad we didnt order anything as when hubby got back from toilets he wanted to get out or be sick there and then. Please have some shame and clean up!!

Visited Cafe Regal expecting to have “the best desi breakfast” in Bradford. To say the least, I was not disappointed. My uncle recommended this place to me and said if you’re ever in Bradford, make sure you go to Cafe Regal and order the chaneh, desi omelette and parateh. I had no complaints in terms of the food. The tea however was not on point hence why the 4 stars.

So I am a big Paya fan. Before going there, I had a sneaking suspicion that the base curry would be the DEFAULT curry they put in everything. The meat was tender and delicious. But the paya curry was disappointing....c’mon you guys....I’m sure the chef can save this great piece of Punjabi cuisine from ‘quick &dirty’ shortcuts.

Half the food was cold.. ordered alu tika it was cold when we told the waiter they took it back and bought another one which was cold too.. seikh kebabs cold too told them to warm them up and they said no it will take too long to make more so didn't give us any... When we went to pay they had put all the food back on the counters to resell even the one I had taken a bit out of... Disgusting and unhygienic They probably do this with everything that gets sent back... serve it to the next customer I complained and they didn't do any thing about it

I visited this place this morning wanting to try something new and it was horrendous. Limited options on the menu and prices are extortionate. The workers could barely speak English and when one of them came to take my order it was difficult communicating. Would not recommended!

Went for desi breakfast for two. Never Again .. Food was bland. Service was non existent, had to keep waving at random people cause you couldn't tell who's working & who's the Customer. Must be one of the most smelling washrooms in Bradford. £26 for 2 omelettes 1 chick pea, 2 parantha & 2 teas. How can any one justify that.

Halwas puri & channay was very nice - portions are huge - 1 between 2 is enough. Haleem was very flavourful and nice with fresh naan. Desi tea wasn’t sickening like other places - nice and light and comes with no sugar

Great place for a proper Pakistani breakfast. Portions are generous so don’t over order. We ordered halwa puri and channa. Along with haleem and a couple of naans, between two of us and struggled to finish - was really nice

Service is mediocre, all need to learn customer service tbh, nice food, when they not mixing up orders or bills, cakes are unreal, dirty restaurant, not great on hygiene, toilets always smelly. Need an inspection to get them up to standards.

This is a tremendous destination. A variety of delicious curries with exuberant flavour - in particular the Niharee (goat) curry was outstanding. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable - there is also a wonderful calm ambience. A dessert bar offers ample sweet foods. A great pleasure!

Too expensive . The prices gone high sky and their portion size is small as well . Desi omelette and Partha is £8 and one litter lasi is £11.50.

Ordered food food did not arrive as ordered asked few times before receiving what I actually ordered and when paying the bill was charged for something we sent back coz it wasn’t cooked to a good standard but still got charged for it never go here again 👎👎👎👎

waiters are not doing their job properly. service is very poor. they don’t know how to deal with customers. the water they gave to use before ordering our food was hot. she didn’t think about giving us our drinks and just walked off told her 2 times but she didn’t care she started doing something else. they also give less sauce. waiters have no care in the world, screaming in the kitchen and near the till. too expensive. don’t think i’ll be coming back

Mmmm 60 quid for breakfast for 4 people, naaaah, robbery, i think ill give this a miss next time, stick with sweet centre on lumb lane.

Very disappointed ! The food lacked flavour, and the service was very very slow and sluggish . The toilets were disgusting unclean and stinky .. couldn’t even walk in from opening the door coz of the stench ! Definatly won’t be coming here again !

We went to the takeaway area and didn’t sit in the restaurant. We got some of the samosas and pakoras. Pakoras were really dry and the samosas were very oily The lady who served us was really miserable and just didn’t seem to want to be there.

I came here to eat breakfast with my family,we ordered buffet breakfast in the channa we found stones,we told the guy waiter and he came and he said he will talk to the chef after that we did not see him again,I think he was hiding in the kitchen to avoid us.Also the buffet food was cold,I am really disappointed in their service, we ordered a omlette and they gave us a tiny little omlette and charged us £5, after all that I will not be visiting here again. I will not recommend this place,it has cheap food and the service is a joke, staff are not trained to deal with customers, worst breakfast don't waste your money here! AFTER WASTING £35 HERE I WILL DEFINITELY NOT COME,MANAGEMENT NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS

I went with my kid and wife on bank holiday Monday Food was great, but the service was absolutely awful the waitress are rude very slow and full of attitude.we waited on table 3 for over 25mins for someone to take our order, then when they decided to bring it out the desi tea was bought out 20mins later. I have never experienced this sort of service in Bradford before.

Visited this place on the recommendation of a family member who thought that this place has authentic Pakistani home-cooked food taste. The atmosphere was good. However, the restaurant was not clean. There is only one staff member to take orders and serve food. So it was kind of sluggish service. The food was average apart from tasty chicken kebabs. I think that this place needs another visit to see if they are any better during the day.
