Cafe Reed in Exeter

Had a new staff meeting here. Food and drinks were great.

I was a student there from 1960 to 1963. It was a hall of residence then. A great place to live in as an undergraduate. A five minute walk to lectures. So many happy memories.

What a spectacular place 😍 We were lucky enough to visit Reed Hall for a wedding recently and I cannot fault a thing. Arriving at Reed Hall your immediately met with a gorgeous pallazo staircase and facade. We wondered through the beautiful public gardens at twilight and it is not to be missed.

The EUROCALL Conference was held in this hall when the conference was undertaken by the University of Exeter. I and my friend, Paul Daniels, attended and gave presentations at the conference. Later we got to do some sightseeing in Exeter.

Our wedding venue is Reed Hall. As we are both alumni of University of Exeter, this venue is meaningful to us. We are also pleased that Reed Hall is an exclusive use venue. As soon as we expressed our interest in hiring the building, they reserved all the bed and breakfast rooms for our guests. Additionally, we are able to host our ceremony and reception at the same place. This saves us from the trouble of organizing the transportation to our guests, who will be coming from Vietnam, Europe, and the States. Besides huge glass doors, the Woodbridge restaurant at Reed Hall has a hardwood floor, providing us with an amazing opportunity for folk dancing. (For your information, I fell in love with James not at first sight, but at our first folk dance. Our wedding first dance, therefore, has been planned to be our first dance.) Equally importantly, Reed Hall is a perfect choice for us because it’s quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and not close to the city center. We are not a huge fan of the traffic around Christmas. Likewise, there are ample of parking spaces nearby, free of charge. If you live in Exeter, don’t you agree that parking near the city center can be expensive, and sometimes, impossible? The food was tremendously good; all of my guests were so pleased. The staffs were very nice and accommodating. They tried their best to help us. For example, they allowed us to come in advance to decorate the venue. Upon being informed that the wedding color is burgundy, they ordered the flowers in the bar area in this color. Amazing service! We highly recommend.

El lado derecho de la escalera que conduce a la sala de bodas estaba muy bien decorada y la señora en el proceso de decorar el interior de la habitación estaba dejando ningún cabo suelto en lo que muy majestuoso. Steve Whyte, el gerente debe ser mencionado por sus conocimientos de la gente en general, encanto y la persona dispuesta a ayudar de cualquier manera a pesar del día a día, pusieron en él exige. Amazing building with Victorian charm suited for weddings and other professional functions. Great service staff and floor managers. Highly recommended

Mi hija y yo estábamos invitados a probar el menú de degustación de gala en ReedHall.Estaba muy bien presentado y los gustos eran fuera de este mundo. Fabulous wedding and party venue

Me alojé en Reed Hall por dos noches y desayunamos allí, en cada una de las dos mañanas y también se detuvo a un café.El desayuno era una "base" con pan al lado de la tostadora y un suministro (Disminuir) de yogures en una bandeja de hielo. Había pasteles y croissants y cajas de cereales con leche. Le pedimos su elección de café y tomó su comida y bebida en el comedor donde había sofás y mesitas de café y sillas de comedor con altos, mesas pequeñas.

Always an amazing venue. Hired a room, great customer service. Lunch fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Coffee and tea high quality.

The house and gardens on this part of the university campus are very pretty, with good views over the city. It’s a great venue for events - popular for student balls and weddings. There is a restaurant/cafe in an adjacent building, although the house itself isn’t generally open for viewing. It’s a pleasant place to sit and read on a sunny day.
