Cafe Primo in Woking

I have read the reviews on Tripadvisor many times and decided I must visit when the opportunity arises and so this morning we called in for breakfast and have to say it was a most pleaant experience. The staff are lovely and must have a lot of regular customers as many know them by name, the food was very good as was the service and no complaints at all. The place was also very clean as were the tables etc and would certainly be happy to return.

This place is a little diamond. The main menus gives you plenty of choices. But the specials board that is updated every Tuesday is fantastic. The cake section is wonderful too. All the meat and veg is from the local shops in the high street a really nice choice of products.

I treat myself to a tale away coffee, and sometimes a custard tar, every time I’m working in the village. I think it’s far nicer than anywhere else I’ve been to. They are lovely, friendly and welcoming, it’s a pleasure to visit.

I regularly come to Cafe Primo, the breakfast deal is brilliant and portions are generous, I usually go for the vegetarian option which I actually have for lunch. This cafe opens very early in the morning, but now under newer management, they close at 4pm during the week and 3pm Saturdays, which is a shame as I liked going for a coffee with friends at around 4.30. They have a good selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and other homemade food and cakes, it's also the ideal place to bring children. They serve different flavours of ice-cream as well as coffees, teas and snacks.

My Mum and Dad are both in their eighties and love going to see John and Anna. My Dad has dementia and visited the cafe this morning for the first time since the first lockdown in March. His happy face spoke a million words and that was all down to the kindness of John and Anna. Thank you so much, your coffee and thoughtfulness are the best! Sarah, Mary and David

Great cafe! The omelettes are the best I’ve ever had! HUGE and served with a salad! Couldn’t recommend more!! Travel from Berkshire to go here! Absolutely love it!

We ordered a small lunch of sandwiches and nibbles for a funeral. The food was delicious and we could not fault it. Very good service. I would definitely recommend for any functions.

We, 3 of us, stopped off halfway through our 40-mile Saturday morning ride at Cafe Primo. It was the perfect place with friendly, welcoming hosts, a bright atmosphere and excellent coffee. My 2 companions also had a slice of carrot cake each whilst I had a magnificent cream cake which was freshly made the night before. All fantastically good value too.

Situated in the middle of Horsell High Street this friendly cafe offer great tea/coffee, cakes and more substantial sandwiches/lunches. Staff and friendly and chatty. A great place for a coffee break

We regularly visit Primo’s as the owner John and his lovely team sell great lattes and cooked breakfasts - very reasonably priced too. John always makes the time to have a chat and seems to be able to remember everyone’s name! Very welcoming.

Stopped off for lunch, I had chicken Milanese ciabatta sandwich, my favourite, had a coffee too, as ever, excellent taste at a reasonable price and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I've stopped here a few times on my bike, riding through Woking. Friendly staff, good service, and nice shortbread cake!

Friendly cafe . Gets quite busy but we are loathe to try the opposition in the village. Fresh cakes and savouries are always nice. The owners really do treat customers like old friends. Lunches look lovely but we always seem to arrive at coffee times.

A full plate of fresh food for only £4.95. That's hard to beat. Friendly welcome. Basic eating area.

El café es un lugar animado, Primo café acogedor situado en el centro de Horsell. Anna y John siempre que sus huéspedes bienvenidos. Había un desayuno completo que estaba muy bueno y más que suficiente. El café es uno de los mejores que he probado y mucho mejor que cualquiera de las grandes cadenas de café. El café estaba lleno con una cola de espera para asientos disponibles y el ambiente era bueno humor y dice algo de la calidad del establecimiento cuando gente preparada a esperar. Cada pueblo debe tener un café.

Este café y su personal, ubicado en la villa de horsell, son bastante excepcional, el personal atento y amable, y la cafetería tener una sensación cálida y acogedora que siempre quiere volver. La comida es excepcionalmente bueno, y el café de la cafetera sobrepasa cualquier en cadenas bien conocidas.

really nice milkshakes and brownies/cakes and good bagels aswell really nice and friendly staff, and ice creams are smashing. would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Soy siempre asombrados que el dueño se acuerda de tantos nombres, él recibe a casi todo el mundo por su nombre. Es un café local, un buen lugar para encontrarse con amigos. Los desayunos son deliciosos y el personal es cálido y acogedor. Una gran ventaja de tener en el pueblo.

Tuve una reunión para almorzar con otras 2 personas. Todos tuvimos una comida y eran todos bien preparado y sabroso. El café que tuvimos con nuestro almuerzo era excelente - muy superior en sabor a cualquiera de las cadenas High Street (aunque me gusta el café de Costa!)

Over the past 6 years I have visited cafe primo,it has always been consistently good service and friendly, daily specials always worth a look,cafe can be very busy at times due to the fact that John the owner is so friendly to all that visit.

Staff muito simpático, comida muito boa e saborosa, escolha variada, atendimento rápido. Só é pena não ter comida Portuguesa, dado que a dona é Portuguesa.Very nice staff, very good food and so tasty, wide choice and you don't have to wait long for your food. It's a shame they don't do Portuguese food since the owner is Portuguese.

Lovely small but friendly cafe with good choice of drinks,cakes and snacks, good place for a catchup or to watch the Horsell world go by!

We often pop in for a coffee, but it gets very busy so finding a table is sometimes difficult. Luckily, we live locally so we can pick and choose our times. The Coffee is always lovely and an assortment of cakes can be tempting. Hot snacks are available and I believe lunches are tasty although we haven't as yet tried them. The service is always very friendly and you feel quite relaxed as you sit and watch the world go by. A couple of outside tables are handily placed for those who prefer to sit in the sunshine, but are also used by smokers so maybe not so good for children. Great little village café, well worth a visit.

If anyone tries to tell you that the modern world is a place where you don't know your neighbours and nobody says hello, well you haven't been to Cafe Primo. John, Anna and his little band of helpers make this place so friendly - a bit like a 'local' except there is no alcohol!The coffee is decent too, and my faves here are the coronation chicken sandwiches and the fantastic omlettes. And of course, unlike the places in the town centre, the car parking is free!

This great café gives you fresh food and drinks and you are always made welcome. John and his team always make you welcome.You can sit out the front in nice weather as well.

Horsell village is a few minutes stroll from the centre of Woking and this café in Horsell High Street is a lovely little haven with a few tables outside and a cosy indoor atmosphere. Nice for meeting friends for a quick coffee or for a light and tasty lunch or snack. Great for after school drop off/ pick up or for a chance to sit and read the paper. Parking convenient and the cakes are tempting and service caring ... a very worthwhile local business which deserves to thrive.

A fantastic range of yummy cakes, great coffee and always a genuinely warm and friendly welcome from John and Anna and Maria makes this our favourite cafe in the local area. It's always very popular with locals and has plenty of regular customers; including us. Much nicer than the big high street chain coffee shops.As well as tea time treats, Cafe Primo has a good selection of breakfast snacks and lunchtime meals and sandwiches.
