We try to always eat here when we visit Poole. The fish and chips were great and service was good, friendly and prompt even though it was very busy.

A really great spot for fresh tasting food. I had a lovely sausage roll with a side of a homemade salad which was so tasty and fresh with mandarin in it which is something I had never had before! Great service and really nice coffee too.

Good coffee and great location. The muesli and fruit were nice but the cooked breakfast was fairly average.

Beautiful setting but disappointed with smoked salmon & scrambled egg. Two very small slithers of salmon, dry scrambled egg & soggy toast. Queuing through the cafe, to order, table service would be far better. I'd visit Oriel or even Wetherspoons for a full English instead.

Fish is always absolutely delicious and fresh from the sea. Having fish from them since lockdown in March, never let me down, absolutely wonderful

Had lunch recently, the food was good and not unreasonably priced and the staff were very helpful. Easy wheelchair access throughout.

Great breakfast all day - fast table service, really good food. Lovely views across the harbour and outside seating. Amazing for hot and cold food - and cakes too! Loads of room inside but it’s always busy :-)

Always a pleasure to come here. Good food, good service and right on the quay. Just wish the owner would find somewhere else to do her paperwork when it's busy. Sitting at a prime indoor table when customers are looking for any spare tables.

Had a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the Cafe on the Quay today. Great service and perfectly cooked breakfast... well worth the extra few pennies compared to many other places I have eaten before.

I visited this cafe for brunch and chose the eggs benedict. Absolutely delicious, so much so I've been back twice since. It is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and on a summers day, the view of the quay is lovely.

Only wanted a coffee, but machine and man slow, so had to leave before we got a parking ticket. Good location and brunch looked good.

The food was nice, but we asked to share some chips, and then got charged £4 for a handful of chips each, which seemed a bit steep, so we won't be rushing back..

We had a craving for cream tea, the the Cafe delivered rightly. The food was enjoyable and the atmosphere was relaxed, especially on a sunny (although windy day). Service was good and with a smile. Had a quick look at the rest of the menu and noticed that for a place so close to the sea. Their selection of seafood was quite limited and disappointing. But overall, a pleasant meal we had.

For the cost of £3.95 for a bacon sandwich, you would expect the use of decent, farmhouse bread (as stated on the menu) and bacon being cooked crispy as requested.

The breakfast was served cold, not what we ordered, bacon cooked only on one side, so perfumed sausages where was the meat, egg cold and pre-cooked .... butter and toast turned as greasy marg smeared over toast - not asked whether we prefer brown or white - fairly crumby experience and will not repeat - corkers down the quay is better!

We visited Poole last week and stopped off at the Cafe on the Quay for lunch. After clearing down a filthy table covered with dirty plates and food, we sat down on the rather uncomfortable cheap rickety chairs and ordered two beers while we took a look at the menu (which we had to go and get ourselves). The beers arrived and were horribly warm...not a good start.

Visiting The Cafe on the Quay this month I found same premises, same pleasant owners, but they have changed the name to The Little Tea Pot. Perhaps the previous name was misleading as it was near, but exactly on, the quay. Otherwise every bit as good as when I wrote a review a few months ago and an excellent place for tea -- or coffee -- and delicious snacks.

My family took over the cafe on a wet Sunday afternoon - the cafe is small and seats 10-12 people. The owners were happy to accommodate 7 adults, 2 babies in prams and a 2 year old.

Just behind the quay in Poole, at the end of the High StreetI is Cafe by the Quay. It's tiny and you may have to search a little to find it, but it's worth the effort. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.

Today my husband and I had roast lamb and fresh vegetables. It was freshly cooked stuffing Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and tasty gravy. Thank you to Debbie ( staff) for friendly service. Recommend to anyone who enjoys a Sunday roast to try Millies Cove first.

We visited this establishment on a Tuesday lunch time. There was outdoor seating available we chose to sit there and watch the world go by. Orders were taken at the table, but I would note you had to go inside when you wanted to pay. We both ordered Ham egg and chips, which was disappointing. The egg ( yes only 1) was cooked in a ring ( very McDonald’s esq) and was very overdone. No runny yolk as one would expect with this dish to dip chips and ham into. The Ham was ok, and the chips passable but sparse. I’d say possibly we made a bad decedent with what we ordered, however it’s not difficult to get this british staple meal right. I’d say overpriced based on our meal that day. I wouldn’t choose to go back. On a side note and this is outside of the proprietors control. We were bothered several times by shady characters whilst sat outside establishment. All trying to sell counterfeit or stolen perfume and tobacco. They are quite persistent and off putting.

The landlord had a foul mouth and a bad attitude. We all LOVED IT would recommend to all that like a good choice of ales and a knees up. God rest you Eileen and Joyce Scum

Lovely coffee bar with great coffee such a pity that the pavement table area is dire, full off debris, cigarette ends and lots of dead leaves. Would we find this level of squalor outside a French cafe, I don't think so!
