I really enjoy the Caffè Nero chain. Great coffee and generally nice places. The Falkirk one is a real gem. Great staff and nice ambience to the place. A great place to just chill for a bit.

El servicio es normal, nada destacable, no obstante, el café que allí preparan, es excelente, al igual que las tazas de chocolate. Local bastante pulcro, ni una mota de polvo a la vista, bien situado en la ciudad, variedad de productos. Casi sobradamente recomendable.

I’m out all the time and like good service but the guy serving kept on trying to upsell and I specifically said no cream on a hot chocolate got it anyway and got charged but I didn’t want to make a fuss so just paid . The guy thought he was funny with wise cracks but he wasn’t . Won’t be back not my kind of thing. I go in expected to be served what I order if I want anything else I’ll order it please don’t try and upsell by going over all the items for sale

My wife and I decided to try Caffé Nero for lunch while shopping in Falkirk High Street. She had been before for coffee, which she said was really good. It’s open between 8 am and 6 pm, and (for info) it serves an all-day continental-style breakfast. First impressions were positive: gentle lighting in a largish space, with a mixture of comfy armchairs with low tables and dining chairs with higher tables, plus booth seating at the back. Background music wasn’t loud, an unusual sequence of 40s and 50s jazz, vocal and instrumental. A well-varied range of paninis, tostati (toasted sandwiches) and sandwiches were all on display next to the counter, with a good range of pastries on the counter itself. Soup is available on order, biscuits and sweet and savoury snacks. A wide range of coffees is on offer – despite some other reviewers’ comments, in our view they’re not over-expensive and turn out to be of very good quality. The overall ambience aims for something of a rural Italian village café, with lots of large photos of groups of older men, small cars and streets all around the walls. The customers were mostly middle-aged and older, but also some families with small children. It’s a nice spot to read a book over coffee, and equally good for a business lunch, which three customers were having near us – the café has a warmer, more local or ‘one-off’ ambience than most other chain shops like Starbucks or Costa. Two members of staff were behind the counter: a barista and a trainee. Both were very friendly and very competent. My wife ordered a Mushroom and Mascarpone tostato melt, with a cappuccino; I ordered a Chicken, Bacon and Mozzarella tostato melt with breakfast tea. We also purchased a pack of ground coffee for home – its price is comparable to the higher-end ground coffee packs in supermarkets. The tostati had well-balanced fillings, and were well toasted, not over-cooked. The cappuccino was really good and the tea was fine. I’ve started on the pack of ground coffee at home and it’s really lovely – warm, rich with a great balance of sweet and bitter. Some supermarkets sell Costa and Starbucks coffee, but I haven’t seen Caffé Nero coffee on sale before – may have missed it. Overall, Caffé Nero Falkirk was a very good experience; we left feeling very happy to return. It succeeds in its aims very well, which is what I base a rating on, so 5 stars.

I went early one morning with a friend for a quick catch up and a coffee. The two members of staff were pleasant enough and appeared to make the coffee as we got ourselves seated, however when I collected it from the counter and took it to our table we found that it was not very hot. I had an Americano and she had a latte and feel the price was too expensive for what we got. Will give it a miss in future.

Went here with a friend and it cost him nearly £10 for two coffee's. Even though it was good I don't think I will be back as it's too expensive for me

Coffee was ok. But was too expensive. I remember latte was two pounds for so small portion. Not coming back here again. Either make portions bigger or make cheaper.

We stopped by for a coffee. The server said the coffee was their own blend? It was truly terrible. We both felt it is bitter and "watery" suggesting the coffee had been over extracted adding in the to mix the end of the extraction where you get all the bitter flavour. We just left them on the table and walked out.... YMMV

I love it in here, great service from really friendly staff. I enjoy the coffee here and usually indulge in a sticky bun, my friends also enjoy it here. Sometimes you can find a good book in there library plus the wifi is free. Well positioned in the town centre.

This Cafe Nero is lovely and spacious with well planned / zoned seating areas of different types. Of course the coffee was perfect. I loved the little touches such as the book sale and boxes of toys for the little ones. Toilets were very clean.

This is the cafe Nero in Edinburgh which isn't listed! Very expensive, could do with some new furniture and a real good clean. Putting that aside the food was good and the coffee was excellent. The seating arrangement could be better but he ambiance is good. Wouldn't put it on my to do list! Ps all the staff are great.

Used to love the coffee from the Ayr town centre branch of this business, however the four times that I've visited Nero, I'm almost certain the barista may have been a little confused and served me regrounds by accident at least once, and to think you pay over the odds for a medium cup of coffee out of here.....

This is definitely the place to go if you want a good hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. They also have very good cake (especially the chocolate brownies). However if your on a tight budget, I wouldn't recommend coming here as it can get on the pricey side!

I'm a regular visitor to this café and the main reason for this is the great service they provide. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful no matter how busy the place is, even going so far as to carry my tray to the table for me, especially welcome as I am disabled and walk with a stick. Top marks for the staff, my favourite coffee shop in Falkirk.

Café Nero has gone down a storm here in Falkirk the place is so accessible. Those of us who have any form of disability the place is a Haven where they can socialise. Wheelchairs can get in easily, and recently the local disability access panel Falkirk Area Disability Access Panel did the honours of doing an official visit on January the 17th 2015 at the 11th hour am. and presented a certificate from the Euan's Guide, a specialist disability trip adviser that compliments trip adviser. January the 17th was disability awareness day. Five café Nero's all over Scotland took part in this, and beyond to all over the United Kingdom. The coffee is wonderful and reasonably priced any information about local access panels can be found on the sdef Scottish Disability Equality Forum web site. www.sdef.org.uk The staff are professional and only too willing to help and will guide you to the appropriate member of staff.

So much about here is really good but a few things let it down. Most of the staff are lovely but there is one lady who is rude and patronising. Has a terrible habit of scowling, being negative and unhelpful and then calls you “hunny”. Service can be slow and food can take a while when busy but everything is cooked to order and delicious when it arrives. Toilets are tiny and wash hand basins difficult to use. On the whole well worth a visit and fingers crossed that one of the lovely friendly staff members serves you.

I did not enjoy the experience. I complained ( perhaps incorrectly) that my steak was undercooked. I was embarrassed by the experience. I won’t be back. Very poor hospitality.

I have been several times before and it has always been fantastic food. With the current movement restrictions in place they have just delivered to me, amazing. Great service, food is still warm from being made fresh today. Cannot say enough how good it is!

Usually very good, but food was cold. Chips had clearly been sitting for a while. Macaroni was cold too.
