Cafe Marina in Ipswich

Cooked breakfast and a breakfast baguette came out 5 minutes apart which was not great when wanting to go for breakfast together, service was lapse and the lady waitress was very abrupt. Atmosphere and actual surroundings however were very nice and clean as was the guy behind the counter. Very mixed for a first visit after being recommended to come here, but not sure I’d return based on this.

Good food and prompt service. Only down side is cost of public parking.

Beautiful little place if only they served tea in pots other than just cups.

The best Brekkie in Ipswich, got a fantastic full menu of main meals too. I usually go in for the Poached egg and Avocado on toast with smoked salmon which you won't find cheaper or better anywhere! "Muddy boots and high heels welcome"

Lovely place, food very nice. The only thing is service is quite slow. Like I waited a good 15-20mins for a strawberry milkshake. However the breakfast was lovely, nicely cooked. Atmosphere good. They seem very popular and I can see why.

I come here often as its the only place near by that does an all day english breakfast, however when they’re busy the wait for food can be extraordinary since they seem to only have one kitchen and serve people table by table at quite a slow rate, however their quality of food is undisputed and never dissapoints. Shame about the wait though.

Really good food for very reasonable price. Staff are efficient and friendly. Good coffee and cake to go as well. Tables of various sizes but all spacious. Definitely a favorite spot.

Nice little cafe on the corner of the marina ⛵ good service & good food (breakfast looks great on view from another table. If your paying by card then make sure your bill is more than £5 as you have to spend more than that to pay by card!! Definitely go again!!

This is an excellent place, food good value, staff friendly and service brilliant.

Decent food, servings aren't that big though. Service is very polite but very slow; sometimes upto 1hour we've experienced. Very clean though, and air conditioned. A nice location.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had. My first and last time in that place. We ordered a couple coffees which took longer than 20min . The manager was extremely rude. I don't understand how someone like her was promoted to a manager position. She shouldn't even be working in customer service , let alone manage ! I'm still in shock !

This lovely little cafe is a gem. Visited for breakfast with my partner. Service was very quick, staff polite and friendly. Food was excellent, sausages were delicious. The coffee was very good. The lighting and hanging macrame plants in the high ceiling give the café a very pleasant ambience. Currently the building this cafe is in is covered in scaffold but don't let this put you off.

Purely delicious. Had the largest breakfast possible, contained Cumberland, bacon, beans, toast, black pudding, bubble and squeek, fried mushrooms and a coffee, all produced to absolute perfection. Eggs were perfect. As was the black pudding, still moist and lovely! Would recommend 100% 5*.

Lovely as usual breakfast with the family. Delicious food, good prices, friendly staff, toilets available on site, great variety of breakfasts and really good to see it nice and busy. Only thing we would say which is not negative but more constructive is that streaky bacon goes alot better with pancakes. But the bacon you use is perfect for normal breakfasts. Oh I challenge anyone to find better sausages than here for these prices. Keep up the good work.

Brilliant place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is fantastic, the black pudding is the best I've had, butchers sausages rather than standard catering, thick bacon. If you don't fancy a breakfast have a jacket spud with chilli and cheese. You won't need much dinner! And the employees are really friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. Give it a try!

What a great find? I've walked past this venue soo many times! Excellent coffee 1st visit, not so the 2nd, but having spoken to the manager about it (was a new staff member still learning the coffee art), it will not deter another visit. The food is Good - Cafe Marina, please don't hesitate to serve a plate straight away when piping hot, even if all ordered is not quite ready 😉 A gem of a place

Went for breakfast with my wife Saturday morning, haven't been for a while, liked the new decor. Both of us ordered a full breakfast which was freshly cooked and quickly delivered by friendly staff. Nothing wrong with anything, great quality bacon, sausage and eggs. Very enjoyable will certainly be back for more.

If you're looking for a budget breakfast, I recommend this cafe. They have wide variety of different breakfasts to choose from. Staff are polite and quick at serving even though every time I've visited it was busy.

Delicious food with a diverse variety to suit many tastes: English fry up to healthier options with avocado on toast and other vegetarian dishes. Recommend the Shashalak; mixed spices with peppers and garlic with egg. The meat is locally sourced and the sausages were delicious.

A little expensive but worth it, coffee could of been bigger cups! But still one of my favourites in Suffolk.

Poor service and rude waitresses. Waited 25/30 mins just for the tea and water. The cutlery was just left on table as they couldn’t even be bothered to set the table. The breakfast was ok when it did finally arrive but wasn’t worth the wait. Wouldn’t recommend this place nor would I visit again.

At last we found a place in Ipswich to get a decent full english. Good quality sausage and bacon, well cooked and clean tasting. Only slightly negative comment would be the bubble and squeek, which was slightly tasteless. Some more cabbage and carrot would help plus some salt. Otherwise well worth a look if you haven't been.

Went for Breakfast n coffee today morning, vegetarian set breakfast served with a bunch of hairs in the beans. Wasn’t expecting hygiene to be that compromised. I was offered the replacement after highlighting it to the staff. Have been there couple of times earlier with family, found the ambience and food good. Today’s unfortunate experience will make me avoid the place going forward

Quick service. Great location by the mariner for a lovely walk or just watch the yachts. Spacious inside and comfortable soft chairs. Very clean and staff are quick to serve you. Fairly friendly. I think the welcome needs to improve. Food reasonably priced, tasty and a varied menu. Toilets very clean and a disabled toilet for users. Parking is close by. Over the road. I think it's free on a Sunday but a payment required the rest of the week. A 2 minute walk from the local travelodge.

It's spacious, with nice window seats, and a friendly feeling. It was the most crowded cafe around the Waterfront area on a cold and windy day. Service was quick and my Chai tea was delicious.

This is the best cafe I've ever eaten from. I've had there breakfast and chilli con carne so far. The jacket potato with cheese and chilli con carne came with side salad with a nice dressing. The food is fresh. I'm going to try there roast chicken dinner next time. Love it 😋

Baked potatoes were lovely with crispy skins and plenty of choice for fillings. Decent side salad too. Tables were nice and clean. Would go again.

The guy that took my order asked me if I wanted milk with my latte. Twice. I didn't have the heart to tell him. Other than that the food was delicious, reasonably priced, and quite fast considering the place was almost packed. Great stuff.

Food & drink were okay. Note: You are expected to pay at an unmarked desk with no visible payment facilities, despite the fact you get table service and do not order there. Even if you have clearly been finished for 15 minutes and are holding a card in hand, STANDING, they will not bother to tell you, and instead would prefer to just chat among themselves.
