Ordered a kebab wrap with salad and garlic sauce on and only received doner on it.

Would leave 0 stars if an option.Pizza drier than maj off benidorms face. Undercooked. Little man has an attitude problem. Fries undercooked aswell. The 2 chairs in the middle of the takeaway on its last legs. Horrible takeaway. Never ordering again.

This place used to be good but my last 2 orders have been wrong, prices have risen while the food quality has decreased. Will not order again!

I brought my autistic son into this takeaway, and he was bullied by the staff relentlessly. One of them (angry turk with a mono) pretended he couldn't hear him the entire time, while he waited at the counter for over 10 mins. He then started throwing salami at him while saying "lanet amcık" repeatedly. I am proper disgusted, but more disgusted in the blatant lies from the FSA that say this takeaway is 4 STARS.

prices gone up, quality gone down. absolutely awful today. Deep pan Margarita pizza was like a thin and crispy from iceland, chickens strips and chips over cooked, We've been customers for years, not any more

We had two delivery drivers waiting at our gate, attempting to be intimidating and claiming they had been calling us for 15 minutes. They were extremely rude, accused my 80 year old dad of not bothering to answer their calls. When we checked the phone, it was actually 4 minutes they'd waited. We did not appreciate the attitude and for our own safety, we will not be ordering from Marantos again. Awful experience.

Not value for money £ 7.90 for wings and chips salad ..wings not cooked proply poor amount of chips ..

Today I had a pizza from cafe marantos and it was fantastic and the packaging and the customer service was very good. Definitely recommend.

I'm new to the area so thought I'd give it a try, I had a kebab today, it was packaged well, nothing leaking, the kebab was delicious! The guy with tattoos in particular served me and was very friendly and polite 😊

Ordered food, took 1hr and 30 mins to come, missed a whole meal, rang up and only asked them to send it out to us, was called a liar and a thief and that I was trying to get something for free. After about 5 mins of arguing he said he would send it out in half an hour. So 2 hrs for rubbish food for £35 and a rude owner

Good luck with what you order. I ordered a pizza with 4 toppings but got 2. Their pizzas used to be so good aswell. Now they are so poor. Thin, dry and very limited on toppings. Thought I'd give them one more chance, after a previous poor order, but their pizzas are so poor I will not order from them again.

I'm new to the area and wanted to find a new good local take away. Ordered food for take-out, spent around £40 hoping it would be good. Unfortunately, it was awful. The side salad looked old, pinkish in colour, and looked like they just washed it as it was full of water, the chips were old and dry, nan bread was very thin looked like a pancake, very crispy and not edible, and wedges basically black and and burnt. Unfortunately, not much of it was edible. Definitely would not recommend.

Wouldn’t even give this place a 1 star with the service we’ve received lately … been ordering from here for many years and recently the food has been absolutely disgusting ordered myself and my family our tea tonight my food was absolutely covered in hairs other meals were cold and like rubber honestly this food service has gone way downhill will not be ordering from this place again !

Ordered a delivery - told 1 hour - rang at 1 hour 15 mins - said they were just cooking it - 1 hour 40 mins still not arrived - rang again and told they were just cooking it!! Diabolical service!! DO NOT USE!!

I ve ordered some kebabs for the family today for delivery , but I had to go and collect because was extremely busy. Only 2 people were working hence de delay with my order , however it worth it the waiting because the food was delicious.

Absolutely appalling service! After using marantos for 20 years, our order last night should have come with a free garlic bread, which was clearly stated on the order and receipt. As it was an Internet order, they said it wasn't applied. After 3 members of staff arguing with me, they decided to give in and threw the garlic bread on the counter which was already cooked!?! Absolutely appalling service, and most definitely won't be going back!!!

I got pizza from here today and the services was superb.The pizza was quality. Great customer service. Thank you.

Ordered a takeaway tonight the food turned up the onion rings were burnt the chips were soggy,the pizza had a weird texture to it, ordered on just eat and it asked if we wanted. Free garlic bread of Pepsi didn’t receive it when we called the shop we had a very uncomfortable phone call with the owner who was extremely rude and started trying to argue with us.we usually always order from Marantos and never usually have an issue but after this evening we won’t be recommending or ordering from there again. £27 wasted on inedible food.

Called in here after a very long working day, was waiting what seemed half n hour to be served, the delivery people were mingling in the kitchen area no uniform on, disappointed when I got home with my order. Won't be calling here again

If I could give NO STARS I would. I ordered my food at 21.15 as I'm not feeling the best but wanted my partner to eat. I ordered him a little treat. The delivery time was between 22.15 and 22.55 which wasn't a problem. At 21.30, I had a call from who I assume was the restaurant but when I answered no one was there. Come 22.00, it said the order was on the way so I waited half an hour but no luck so I decided to ring the restaurant as the app said it had been delivered. When I phoned, I explained the situation and asked them politely where my order was because the app said delivered. All I got was rude, aggressive manner through the phone, shouting and blaming me. He passed the phone to the delivery driver who said he'd been, knocked several times and rang me several times. All false because I'd not had a phone call on the delivered time it said it arrived and my partner was sat down stairs waiting for his order. Again I got a rude and aggressive manner and he said bye and ended the phone call. My order had been sat on my doorstep for 60 minutes with no knock and no phone call. Which makes me question how they made my order and got it to my front doorstep in 15 minutes? I'm not surprised it has a 1 star hygiene rating as the food was vile when we looked at it. It wasn't only cold but not edible warmed up. We will definitely not be ordering again and the staff need a reality check talking to their customers like that.

The food used to me so nice but its always wrong and seems under cooked! Thought id try it again tonight to see if its any better and didnt even get as far as trying the food the person on the phone was unbelievably rude ! I was lost for words so cancelled the order! What a joke

Ordered food as wasn’t feeling my best and thought we would have a little treat. Food was delivered in good time, but was the wrong order. Driver apologised and said he would sort, taking the food and about 15 minutes later he returned with our order, which was cold, opened and missing items. Turns out he had gone back to the person delivered to and recovered the food to deliver to us… He said he would return with the missing items, but didn’t so I rang the restaurant. The owner/manager, passed my details to the delivery driver who range in an abusive manner telling me he had agreed with my wife that she didn’t need the food - I guess she didn’t need to eat right? The attitude of this place is awful, and C s as bud I’ve - it is not somewhere we will order from again - hopefully be able to sort with Just Eat…

Updated review 12/01/23. Just had the 3rd order in a row wrong. Usually it's something fairly minor like not leaving mushrooms off a veggie pizza or sending a veggie rather than spicy vegetarian, that kinda thing. Tonight's debacle was adding an additional pizza (charged for!), got toppings on the doubled up pizza wrong (on both), and all pizzas were undercooked and not cut properly. Owner was insisting to my face that I had ordered 3 pizzas... Saw 2 other customers get their orders wrong whilst I was there. Conveniently located, but there's not much point if you don't get what you order and what you do get isn't even cooked properly.

More often than not the order arrives wrong, they will sort it for you but it takes roughly another hour for the redelivery by which time the stuff they got right is ice cold.

I was hesitant about going into this place after seeing how many bad reviews the place has got. Not only about the poor food but the poor attitude of the man who works in there.the one with the strange haircut. What makes him think that his horrible sarcastic attitude will help the business. I don’t get it why would you have a bad attitude and not be nice to the customers. The food here is poor aswell. Maybe try and learn to be nice to people and focus some of that negative energy you have into cleaning the place and maybe you might move up from your rating of 3 for your food hygiene. Stopped going here a few years ago because food and service were poor, but thought I would try it again. Still not very good. Had a lamb shish kebab today and a zinger wrap meal. The lamb was nothing but gristle - chewy horrible rubbish. The wrap didn't have anything on it but the chicken and bread (no lettuce, cheese or mayo). Took what was left back to the shop - they weren't at all happy about me complaining but did give me a partial refund. Won't be going back again. Go up the road if you want a kebab.

Give it minus stars if I could. Used many times and been ok, last few times order not complete, odd naan bread missing etc. Tonight happened again, put information in instructions- box as online order and they still miss items that I have paid for. Phoned up to express my disappointment and the person I spoke with at Maranto's became angry telling me they are very busy, I explained I have paid for these items but not received them, he then told me if I'm not happy then don't from here again, well I wont. Buyers beware, if you complain you will be told not to order from them again.

If I could put 0 I could. Order a few weeks ago got food poisoning. Give it one more go and complete messed up the order and forgot a meal. Phone to tell them and got pure rudeness and the guy hung up on me. Had to ring 3 time and was only told the correct order would be sent as I'm the one causing a problem. Never again avoid!!

Extremely poor customer service, ordered 2 kebabs and a portion of chips, proceeded to pay then decided to tell me that chips came with one of the kebabs. After a few a few back and forth the confrontation came to me being threatened to be knocked out by a scrawny bearded homeless looking guy. Went next door to peji’s instead, friendly staff, excellent service and great food !

We walked into the store and didn't know what we wanted so we took our time to decide and the person taking our order was honestly really dissrespectful starting by no manners at all and slamming my change on the counter then walking away without saying a word with little to no respect at all even though I tried to be reasonable with him. The food was slapped together as well and greasy

Ordered at 7:40pm and still nothing delivered by 9:25pm. The website states 60 minutes delivery (I’m within 2 miles) and if it’s significantly longer they will contact customers. I’ve heard nothing and can’t get through over the phone to tell them to cancel the order. This is the 2nd time this has happened and the 1st time our order was missed and when I managed to get through it was all made then, hours later. Ordered after this and received within the hour but after this, AGAIN, I won’t be ordering again!!!

We've been regular customers here for quite some time and although not fabulous, the food and service have always been fine on the whole. Except for tonight. Part of our order was a bbq chicken wrap as a main meal with curly fries. We collected it within 15 mins. My son came into the kitchen with the chicken wrap and asked me to taste it. Appalling. It tasted so bad that I wasn't sure it even was chicken. My husband also had a taste and confirmed it was inedible. I rang Marantos. I explained and I declined the offer of a replacement wrap and queried whether it was chicken, which they assured me it was. They also said they had cooked it freshly (which I would expect for every order to be honest). I said if it was, then there was something seriously wrong with what they were serving and that we would return it to them so they could check it. All of this was dealt with pleasantly. My son returned to the shop and asked them to taste the chicken. They refused. He said he wanted to insist but they strongly declined which I find upsetting and suspicious if what they tried to say regarding freshness etc was to be believed. To top it off, they didn't even refund the money paid for his meal merely part of it. He had curly fries which he didn't return with the wrap...Needless to say, we will no longer be customers of Marantos.

We have been ordering from here for a few years. Mainly as they produce good Pizza with a wide selection. We have always found it could quality and a decent price point.

Just had great service!! food was really good had to ring up because of missing Pepsi but the staff were very friendly couldn't apologise enough and sent one straight out. Thank you so much, 👍👍. We ordered from the Marantos website on the 27th May and paid by card. The transaction went through on my partners card but he had an email with an error so he ordered the same thing again, this did not work for a second time so i tried to order it with my card. Nothing arrived that evening however the money has left both bank accounts for 3 separate transactions. I got my refund back on my card after speaking to them, however my partner has not recieved his and i have spoken to Marantos since this numerous times and they have still not refunded us 3 weeks later. They keep telling us there is nothing to refund, however there is over £26 left to refund! This was our favourite takeaway and we ordered regularly from them, however we have not ordered since this and we are unlikely to order again due to this. Poor customer service and we are left highly dissatisfied with a takeaway we once recommended to anyone local.

USED TO BE BEST PLACE TO GO ROUND HERE, NOT ANYMORE. Used to order handmade burger and really enjoy it as the burgers were really thick and seasoned well, then today placed same order and got home to find out the burgers were not the same on my burger and were just normal pre-made burgers as you would get at a burger van. I then rang the company to let them know they got my order wrong for him to then decide to tell me the burgers had changed from the supplier he uses, and he then proceeded to tell me it's still the handmade burger, I then explained I was not made aware of this when I ordered and it's not the same if the burgers had completely changed as it's not the same burger on the bun, he then strongly disagreed with a very unprofessional attitude. Safe to say he just lost a loyal customer.

Had to throw a third of the order away Inedible. Definately off my xmas card list Lousy attitude from staff too. Up your game or close especially with the current situation

WORST SERVICE EVER! Do not order from here. Waited over 2.5hrs and when it finally arrived some items were missing and incorrect. Called them up to be greeted by the most vile human being on the planet(THIS WAS THE MANAGER) who’s only solution was to resend the order (it was nearly 11pm) no way I’m waiting we were waiting any longer. He was yelling down the phone until I hung up. Never again!!! absolutely disgusting.

SHOCKING!!! Took our order over the phone delivered on good time but missed half the order. Decides it will be quicker to go and fetch missing food myself as he said it will be a half an hour wait for the rest of it! Decided I wanted a refund for the missing food. The manager was vile and refused a refund for the food we didn't eat or recieve. He was shouting and saying we were wrong. The one at birley never had a problem but the swallow nest one I wouldn't go back if it was free and I am so glad I didn't eat the actual food he delivered as the chicken was cold.

I have always ordered from here when we decide we want a takeaway, but no more! So i odered a burger and fries one night and behold there was a hair in it! But it doesn't stop there i thought i would give it one more shot and ordered for me and my boyfriend tonight and behold not one but 2 hairs in the fries and the worst bit there was a piece of plasic wrapping in my boyfriends pizza! He nearly choked on it!! Very disappointed recently..

was a long term customer. until due to the floods an online order was taken but not delivered. 2 hours past. i call, 'we did not take the order' they say. paypal says otherwise and on their website it gave a ref number for the order. they tell me to contact paypal for a refund. paypal tell me to contact them for an amicable resolution?! What the actual f cafemarantos???? where is my refund??????????????

Ordered food and when it came it was over 2 hours late and the order was mostly wrong and cold. Not happy with the customer service we received, very disappointing.

Tonight 20/01/2019 we ordered from Maranto's and I have to say this, it was amazing. The delivery was speedy and with us in the time given by the young lass answering the phone. We did spend £30 and got a free 12" garlic bread with cheese which was cooked to my liking. Me and my wife had the mixed kebab and got to choose from the meats they have on offer. We both had the kofte kebab and chicken, this was cooked beautifully, the meat was tender and it tasted fresh. I have never had the Kofte kebab before and this was a surprise with how nice this marinated lamb was, it is so much nicer than the normal doner kebab you get from a other takeaways. My kids had the kids burger meal and they were happy with what they got, so it was a massive win win for us. This is now my number on place to get a takeaway from.

Food was lovely don't get me wrong however I do not appreciate waiting over an hour for the rest of my order that was forgotten to then ring back 3 times, and them say "it will be with you shortly" then say "our driver says he's just delivered it" - Disgusting to hear when I've paid for and NOT received it and now have 2 upset children from an incomplete treat meal. WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN!!!

Really like this place, use it a lot. Their food is gorgeous. Sometimes have to wait a little longer, but it's worth it. Most of the time though food is early and it's always hot. They even cater for my wacky request of putting the chilli sauce between the burgers and not between the burgers and not between the burger and the bread, as this sends the bread soggy and the burger ends up all over! Staff are great. Highly recommend the full Peri Peri Chicken with Rice.

For pizza id give them a 5 all day their pizza is always fresh Polite staff but abit tight with their pepperika

Had a few meals from them. Never had an issue, food exactly as ordered (via website) including some requests. Always quick delivery with hot food.

Asked for chips and got curly fries, the wrap was dry and I couldn't finish it and my water was warm. Not happy!!

Cant fault the food but the orders are constantly wrong every single time they ask if I want sauce on it said ill have it on side and they charge me whats that all about!!!!!

In my opinion the "freshest" and best takeaway pizza you can buy, tryed a lot of others over years (probably hundreds over 10+ years) and I always go to them. Shame I live 30 minutes away and I STILL travel there and just warm it up when I get home. Don't know what there other food is like though as I only get there pizza

The food is great but twice I have got to my car to find that I have been given the wrong change so make sure you check before you leave the counter. I don't think that this was done deliberately.
