Excellent food. Good ambient. Fast service. The house salad (salad 84) is incredible! Pizzas come out directly from the oven.

I’ve seen this place on TA before so was quite keen to try. The restaurant was nicely done out with a good menu choice and set up inside . We went for 2 pizza’s , ( Margherita with mushrooms & goats cheese pesto ) which were excellent. thin crust , great toppings and very tasty. I had the house salad (called 84 salad) which is with chicken and buffalo mozzarella which was a bit dull and underwhelming, my mistake for choosing it but was hoping for more variety than using the same leaves and nothing else. I wouldn’t choose it again. We also had the sharing bruschetta as a starter which was nice enough but unfortunately came out at the same time as the main courses and we would have preferred it before the mains rather than at the same I think if you go for pizza or pasta you can’t go wrong.

Excellent food on both occasions we have visited this Italian cafe. The pizzas have lovely dough which is not too thick good choice of d toppings generous and flavoursome. Lasagne excellent as was the prawn linguine. Portion sizes good, and bottle of red wine not as pricey as lots of other places. As this venue is a bit out of town it hasn't been too busy on our 2visits which were early evening. I assume, and hope that it is popular later in the evening as it deserves to be. We shall definitely be visiting regularly when we also have room To try the tirimasu!

I’ve picked up food from here countless times. I’ve actually lost track. It’s always great. The pizza is authentically thin and delicious. The sea food pasta is amazing. But my favourite has to be the bbq chicken baguette. 2nd to none

Fantastic food and service. Probably the best Lasagne I’ve ever had. All dishes are homemade.I highly recommend the Honeycomb cheesecake. Definitely recommend this place when visiting Bath.

Stumbled across this restaurant as local to our hotel - what a find outside frontage does not do it justice. All food homemade, all 8 meals came out at the same time, piping hot and simply the best would not hesitate to recommend. We will be back worth the two and a half hour journey to return thank you so much we will remember our trip to Bath as the best night was had by all thank you again

We ordered two pizzas and garlic bread for delivery and it arrived warm, pre cut and absolutely delicious!!!! We recommend it 👍

Absolutely lovely authentic food. Very quiet Monday night but we had staff full attention. Best bruschetta I have had and the pizza was amazing.

If you have ever been to Italy (I was airline crew and had many visits) this place has the nearest you’ll get to authentic pizzas and risotto as you’ll ever get! We ate early so the restaurant was quite but the takeaways were flying out the door! One order was for 12 pizzas! My wife had a wonderful pizza and OMG I had the most amazing mushroom risotto! The reason so good? Both Italian chefs! If you don’t give this place a try it will be your loss unfortunately! Bon appetito

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Bath. We hadn't booked but it wasn't a problem. The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and the food delicious. Between the 5 people in our party, we all had different meals and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We did all order desserts which weren't for the faint hearted but we somehow managed them. The restaurant is a short walk from the Holiday Inn Express which is where we were staying so we didn't need to move the car. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely return again.

I mean, just look at that beautiful pizza. I rarely get takeout, but when I do its usually from cafe 84. Portion sizes are amazing, everything is well seasoned. They make the pizza dough fresh and it's reasonably priced! Delivery is prompt and talking with the staff at the café, they're always friendly and kind. 11/10

I've e never actually eaten in but this is my go to pizza place for delivery over the last 2 years and I've ever had a bad pizza from here. Also the Pizza 84 has saved me on many hangovers.. The dips are good too, love the Mexican chilli and garlic dip. And when ordering delivery the coke arrives cold as well (really annoys me when you get a delivery and the can of coke is warm..) Always arrives quickly and delivery driver is always a laugh as well, nice bloke. Actually.. Gonna order one now.

I've only ever ordered pizza from here but the pizza's are as they should be - Delicious, tasty and more importantly ITALIAN! Far far better than anything other large chains can push out. There are only 2 pizza restaurants I would use in Bath and this is one of them.

Prima no-nonsense restaurant. Rustig, gastvrij en goede kwaliteit. De penne arabiata was echt pittig. De pizza was goed gevuld. Parkeren was wat lastig. Aan de voorkant zijn weinig plaatsen en het is een drukke weg. Een eindje voor het restaurant is een doodlopend straatje waar je kan staan.

Went with family for a meal here at the weekend. Food was really good and tasty. Service was a bit slow but we were in no rush, no issues. Had a nice time with nice food.

Mi marido tenía una pizza y tuve el risotto de pollo seguido de tarta de queso y tiramisú. Tuvimos nuestra luna de miel el año pasado en el lago de Garda en un hotel de 5 estrellas y tuvimos que aceptar que nuestra comida aquí era tan deliciosa como en el lago de Garda. Esta noche, cuando entramos al Café 84, pedimos una mesa para 2 personas y les informamos que teníamos una tarjeta de degustación. Luego nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y no tenemos ninguna queja sobre la comida! Pedimos la cuenta y de nuevo les dije que tenía una tarjeta de sabor. . me dijeron que no tomaban la tarjeta de sabor para probarlo. Luego les mostré mi aplicación que claramente dice Cafe 84. . ¡Me dijeron que no estaba en el Café 84! Cuando me sentaron, me llevaron debajo del arco, que aparentemente era "otro restaurante". ! Luego busqué en su sitio web, que también muestra que si hace clic en "Café 84", ¡lo llevará a otro sitio web de restaurante! Por suerte, el restaurante tenía precios relativamente buenos, pero no estaba contento con el servicio, ya que sentí que me habían jugado y que habían aprovechado. Solo me lo han entregado, así que no puedo comentar sobre la experiencia culinaria, pero todos estábamos muy satisfechos con nuestras pizzas. No eran pesados ni grasientos como las fichas de dominó o Pizza Hut. Es como si estuvieras comiendo una pizza italiana adecuada, la salsa de ajo también es fuerte, como a mí me gusta.

We stumbled on this treasure, as it was right by our hotel. The pizza was perfection and the best I've had in years. Highly recommended !

What a Gem of a restaurant. We stayed at the holiday Inn minute along the road. This restaurant is well worth a visit. I have the casarecce provinciale and my girlfriend the pizza vegetarian. So fresh and home made and full of taste. Good value and well worth walking the 5 mins outside bath City centre to visit. This is real Italian food. You made our evening !!

Visited recently whilst staying at the holiday Inn a few doors down.. the pizza was honestly the most incredible pizza I've ever had. Fully authentic Italian food.

I eat out often in Bath and was delighted to stumble across this little gem. The prawn linguine is amazing and the pizzas are very very good. It's a little out of the way and a little rustic but I highly recommend a visit.

Nos quedamos en el Holiday Inn Express y Cafe 84 fue uno de los restaurantes que recomendaron, así que como nos gusta la comida italiana, pensamos en probarlo. No nos decepcionó, la comida casera y sabrosa, y la joven que nos servía era amable y servicial. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra visita y sin duda volveremos a comer aquí cuando estamos en la zona.

We ordered a take away and were so impressed by this pizza. The pizza bases are incredible! I had a margarita pizza with Parma ham and rocket and it was delicious! I would definitely eat food from here again if I lived near bath!

Came here today for lunch with my wife,i had the mozarella ham pineapple mushroom pizza for£7:95&my; wife had the mozzarella and tomato sauce along with chips,i can probaly say that was the best or deffo 1of the very best pizzas ive ever had,very tasty very filling,all the staff were happy&friendly; i wouls recommend.They also do deliveries 5:30-12pm.I was very pleasantly suprised.

This place is a good visit if you're into tasty food for a modest price. It's a cafe atmosphere so ambience isn't priority one however tasty food for a reasonable price is. Very impressed and would come back again.

Had a burger at this place and it tasted like a cardboard. Outside sign was saying everything homemade, sorry but it tasted like a cheap frozen Iceland special. Not worth a visit

Ordered from JustEat, took exactly what they stated (40ish mins?). Was very disappointed to see my pizza had hardly any pepperoni even though I had asked for double... Was a really great pizza though! I'd order from there again.

I've ordered pizzas from here on several occasions. Although the crust has a tendency to be almost a bit charred, I'd much rather have a thin, crispy base than your typical Domino's/Pizza Hut base. Delicious and reasonably priced.

Unfriendly staff, and the coffee tastes like they've put about five spoonfuls of instant Nescafe in each cup. The panini's are standard, nothing special.

I've visited cafe 84 on numerous times, it's an amazing little place with quality food and service. The pizzas in cafe 84 are just the best. Highly recommended

As lunchtime approaches, the average employee heeds the call of a good sandwich. Cafe 84 satisfies this need - cheaply and effectively. The menu of sandwiches is dynamic, but not too deviant from the more basic italian-style combinations, which a good sandwich purist will appreciate. Add chicken or bacon and any sandwich can become heavier for the hungrier. There are also a range of pizzas and dishes for those to eat in, but the take-away baguette is the winner for me - cheaper than the sandwich lady who does the office rounds, but twice the quantity and packed full of ingredients

This was not a good experience for us - We had pizzas which were definitely not "excellent" as the other reviews would suggest. They were tasteless and the cheese on top was hardly melted. There were some men loitering around the entrance smoking and because the door was wedged open (at night) it was wafting straight through to us - staff didn't seem to care at all. It was overpriced for what it is - would definitely not recommend.

Great little resturant that does amazing proper fresh pizzas and lasagnes. Great for a good quick meal. Staff are friendly and they have free wifi.

This restaurant is close to the Holiday Inn and just a short walk on the same side of the road. The food is Italian with most things you might want on the short concise menu. Only a couple of staff, but working very hard to make sure customers are looked after. Service will be a bit on the slow side but the food will be worth waiting for.

We arrived at 10pm at the Holiday inn and were recommended to dine in the Italian cafe nearby.I arrived an received the warmest welcome by Solina, I was ready to be sent away because of the late time but she kindly offered us a table and made us feel at home from the beginning. Food was fresh and delicious, the home made tiramisu is the best we have ever tried! Also very yummy king prawns, spaguetti and mixed salad, we loved it and fell in love with the food quality and outstanding service (we will return tomorrow!) . I have always worked in hospitality and because of work I conduct quality checks on regular basis, hence this cozy and clean Cafe would deserve my highest qualifications, well done!

Went there due to recommendations but I'm not so sure about them. Spaghetti bolognese not so great although the garlic bread (pizza) was great. Beer warm and average price. Prices high for a cafe.

Read the reviews after seeing this restaurant on table pouncer app for a last minute meal whilst staying in bath over night. So glad we listened to the reviews and chose to eat here as it really is as good as everyone says. The food was truly amazing and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome and I would highly recommend this Italian to anyone. Will definately eat here again if we come back to bath

I must say I often passed this place on the bus and never really noticed it. Well its nestled between to two high street chain Americanised fast food pizza takeaways, and one night fed up of the overpriced over commercialised American fast food pizza I noticed that café eighty four was open. In all honesty I always thought it was a nice looking café that only opened for lunch, but I saw pizza and other Italian dishes like pasta and risotto was available. So I thought I would give it a chance. When I go to a pizza place for the first time I always buy a margherita to test the water, as all pizza places do one and I think a good quality margherita is always a good sign of a quality pizzeria. What can I say, it was delicious! Firstly it was lovely fresh dough, thin and crispy, secondly, the cheese was such good quality, a real strong taste, you could tell it was a real cheese as opposed to the plastic stuff you keep seeing now. For me it is my now go to place for pizza, also they do a lovely lasagne, amd I am very fussy when it comes to lasagne, as for years I have perfected my own, I rarely order it out as I always find a fault in it it, but I must say I think it is the best one in a restaurant I have had.

Thanks to TripAdvisor we found this little gem. Lovely thin base and plenty of garlic. Pleasant waitress also. Will definitely be back if we come back to Bath.

This is THE place in Bath for pizza or pasta. I am unsure just how impressive a pizza can be! I have eaten most of them now from the menu, whether collected from the delightful owners or delivered they just make it so amazing in flavour and balance of ingredients with an amazing thin dough base. The variety of ever pleasing pasta dishes (lasagne a personal favourite) has converted me into paying a restaurant for pizza and pasta.... Something I would not happily have done before finding this gem here. Even better they are Independents, genuine and passionate about what they do.....you can taste that with every bite........ It has not failed once to delight so enjoy, I know you will.....

Went here as we stayed at the Holiday Inn which is only a few minutes walk away and only wanted a light meal. We were pleasantly surprised of the quality of the food and friendliness of this small family owned pizza place. Not pricey at all. Nice one!

We had been staying at Holiday Inn Express for 3 days before we visited Cafe 84 (just a few yards from HIExpress) We were delighted with the variety of items on the menu, the premises were extremely clean and the staff were very attentive without being " over the top". The food was well cooked, nicely presented and good value for money. I wish we had found it earlier in our holiday as it is a little gem.

Stumbled across this little oasis purely by chance having exited another more upmarket restaurant. To be honest I didn't have high hopes. Strange place that didn't seem sure if it was cafe, takeaway, greasy spoon or restaurant. Decor is simple. Greeted by friendly waitress. Menu was good and ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was delicious. Girlfriend had the burger. Proper wholesome food without the snooty airs and graces of other hotels. Tiramisu was perfect.

It was about 9:30pm one night when we wondered into this restaurant. It didn't look inviting but it was open, smelt like pizza,and we were hungry. Even after entering we weren't sure what to expect. I can't vouch for their pizza or pasta but the fresh Blackened Sea Bream and amazing green beans the chef prepared is the best meal I had enjoyed for a very long time and after a six week holiday and many restaurant meals later this remains the food highlight. It is owned and run by a close knit family who take pride in the food they create. A big thumbs up from me.

What a find! This authentic Italian restaurant and takeaway provides only "fresh from order" food which is also 100% Halal. We have had several delicious pizzas from the takeaway menu, which have been so good as to deservedly contribute to the restaurant's rating as the best pizzeria in Bath. Recently, we decided to have a complete meal from the restaurant menu - best decision made in months! A beautiful shared antipasti, followed by freshly prepared pasta dishes, luscious dessert, espressos and a recommended bottle of Tempranillo completed a fantastic meal.The service was excellent, and the price very reasonable. You can't get better than that! And if it is a warm evening, you can dine outside and watch an envious world go by! Definitely worth a visit.

Music was Italian which was great. Pizza was thin and excellent as too was the brushcetta. Lasagne had too much sauce, too little meat for my husbands liking. Service was accommodating if a little pushy. Was understanding of my son's nut and seed allergy however and did turn the heating up for us. What could have been better was not having to smell smoking with our meal, wafted in from outside main door.

Located on the outskirts of Bath, near the Holiday Inn, this place is an interesting mixture of formal and informal. Silver service-type milk jug and plastic squeeze, cafe-type ketchup bottles. Food was great, and reasonably priced, but the service was disinterested and monotone at best. The waitress finished cleaning all the tables in the joint before acknowledging that we'd walked in (it's a small place, we were hard to miss...), and things just went downhill from there.Would go again for the food, but don't expect to be welcomed with open arms!

My wife and I ate dinner here because it was close to our hotel (Holiday Inn Express) and because of the TA reviews. The food and service were both very good. Prices are reasonable. It was an extremely friendly place (especially if you root for Chelsea). The owners were very accommodating and also very friendly. Highly recommended,

Only ordered a takeaway pizza, delivered punctually from a phone order and they take credit card orders over the phone to the hotel, but as they say "Bellissimo".Of a very high standard and mouthwateringly tasty.

It's a small restaurant down the street from the Holiday Inn and I was looking for somewhere close by to eat and did not want to go to a pizza restaurant I could have gone to in the States!The person behind the counter took my order and I had a seat for someone to bring out. I had the veggie pizza usually when I went and think it was the best I had ever had - and the spaghetti was also good. The desserts are showcased in the counter and also very good. With such a great staff and very good food I was a regular for the time I stayed in Bath - approximately a week-and-a-half! I can't wait until I visit family again in November near Bath to go back for dinner.

What a lovely little gem of a restaurant, why can't they all be like this! Ok its not in the best location, but quite frankly it pulls the pants down and smacks the backside of much snootier places in the city centre. Visited again tonight and it was faultless. A trusted favourite.

Great food, friendly service. We were pretty worn out after driving to Bath following an overnight flight into Heathrow. The large serving of penne arrabiata for me and a pizza for partner, with Italian beer and wine, helped restore our senses. Popular place - a steady stream of locals and tourists during the hour we were there. Friendly staff, quick service. Convenient location just down the street from the Holiday Inn Express. This place is just perfect for a Great tasting pizza and a relaxing atmosphere. Amazing Pizzas cooked to order and very good prices. Called here on a Friday afternoon on the way to the Holiday Inn Express. Quite a buzzy little place, friendly staff. We had a reasonably priced lunch - omelette and chips and a burger and chips. Cooked to order and hot and enjoyable. Nothing remarkable but it is friendly, reasonably priced and clean and comfortable. Just what we needed!

Whilst staying at the Holiday Inn Express, Bath we discovered this Italian cafe, a hidden gem. My husband was feeling ill so I went out on my own to eat and did not want to go far. After looking on Tripadvisor I discovered somewhere handy with favourable reviews.I entered Cafe 84 to a warm welcome and did not feel awkward at all, but was made to feel welcome. I ordered the chicken risotto, which came quickly and was fantastic and then having read the reviews had the tiramisu. This was also excellent. Service was good and friendly. I decided I had to return with my husband and did so 2 days later. He had penne with chicken which was very good while I had pizza which was also very good. This is a very pleasant and friendly place with excellent food at a reasonable price. I hope it does not become too well known but this is for selfish reasons. Well done to you.

Walked from the Holiday Inn in the pouring rain to eat here, and were made to feel very welcome the minute we walked in the door.Really friendly staff who couldn't have done more to make our visit enjoyable.The food was lovely, one of the best pizzas I've ever had,and all the ingredients were clearly fresh.The desserts were lovely, recommend the tiramisu.Was so nice of him to put a candle in mine and all the staff came out and sang Happy Birthday to me...all added to the experience.Would definitely return if I went back to bath.

I have just had the best pizza in Bath. Don't even worry about going elsewhere, come here. I have walked on by before, but wished I had made the effort to come inside add the food is great.

Stuck at holiday inn around the corner and could not go out. Usual chain takeaways nearby but checked www and hotel reception they recommended here. Good choice family business which did good pizza and burger for little one who does not do cheese. If you are nearby give them business they also deliver

I've visited this hidden gem on each of my visits to Bath. Each time I was very satisfied by their wide variety of pizzas and the service is great also. On nice days it's a pleasure to sit outside.

Recommended by the hotel staff, our family went to Cafe 84 for dinner on a cold rainy night..It is small from the outside, but the decor is very elegant, and the food is absolutely fantastic..The owner caught my oldest son peeping into the kitchen to see if they were tossing pizzas in the air.. Gus promptly pulled our son into the kitchen, taught him how to toss pizza, and how to make his own pizza for dinner that night..Although the phone was ringing off the hook, and they were very busy, it was so kind of Gus to spare a few minutes for the pizza lesson..The Tiramisu made by his wife is truly the best we've had..Amazing customer service, great food, and a very kind family..It was so great, we went back the second night as well :)

As usual we relied on TripAdvisor to recommend an Italian restaurant in thw Bath area. We were intrigued by the reviews of others so gave it a try and are so glad we did. The bruschetta is the best I have ever had; the pizza was fresh and delicious; the tiramisu was heavenly. Sorry we are in Bat for one day only as I would love to go back to try other items. Will certainly come back In the Future. Give it a try -you will be glad you did.

After having had an awful meal at Browns the night before, we decided to stay local to our hotel for the next night. We were advised by our hotel staff to try Cafe 84, an Italian restaurant. It didn't look much from the outside but we ventured in and were welcomed by the owners a husband and wife team. I'm really pleased we did go in as it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, lovely tasty Italian pizzas that were freshly made and friendly staff. We had our 8 month old baby who was being very vocal but with typical Italian hospitality they made a fuss of him and our daughter. We plan to go back next time we are in Bath we all loved this little restaurant.

Cheaper than dominoes, crafted with passion, you wont find a better pizza in Bath and I know good pizza.

The best pizza and pasta I have every eaten. We where in Bath for 2 days and ate there both days. This place was recommend by or hotel and I am so glad we tried it. We were on a 3 week trip that started in New York City and included Scotland, England and Ireland and this was hands down the BEST food we had on the trip. IT WAS AMAZING.

lovely little restaurant.nice and friendly staff. awesome pasta.really nice pizza's.and as for the home made tiramisu... oh my god!we were put onto cafe 84 buy some friends of ours and we love it.

Ok so. Where would you go for hand-made pizza. You know the guys who make the dough by hand a then spin it around like you see in the movies. Pizza Express? Do me a favour. Domino's? You are having a laugh. Cafe 84 in Bath. You betcha. You may even see Gus spinning away in the kitchen.This is properly a hidden gem. Not many people know about Gus and Sonita and their ttle bit of Italy. It looks like a standard cafe from the outside but the pizza, the pasta sauces, the salads are absolutely top rate. Is not licenced so "bring your own" for a fantastic meal out that will cost you a fraction of the price of inferior food in the chains. And he has Wi Fi! Lunchtime specials are uinbelievable value.He deserves to do really well. My daughter had her birthday party there recently and four teenage girls eat every last scrap on the plates. And Sonita's home made Tiramisu is fantastic. Unpretentious. Just good food simply served. And he delivers............
