Nice decor, and good options on Menu. I’d heard great things about the brunch. Unfortunately when my Salmon & eggs arrived (priced at over £10, can’t quite remember) I received what I can only describe as a salmon shortage…! It’s a bit of a shame that the portion was so terrible, kind of marred the whole experience. My partner got a great breakfast, so sitting there comparing was quite disappointing. Probably wouldn’t order anything les then the full breakfasts if I returned, as I want to leave feeling like I had a good meal and I didn’t this time.

Amazing breakfast served by delightful staff all very pleasant. We waited in the virtual queue for about 10 mins. I had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and my friend had the French toast. Don’t miss this place

Breakfast with my son and a friend. Great menu. Reasonably priced (this is London). Perhaps as good a full English Breakfast as you would get anywhere. I would recommend the freshly squeezed OJ as well. You wont be disappointed.

Been several times to Beam and it never disappoints. You may have to queue in busier periods but it always seems to move fast. The brunch is fantastic with lots of options to choose. My favourite is mushrooms on toast (with a side of halloumi) but you can mix and match a lot of options with extra sides. Tea, coffee, juices and cocktails are great and the atmosphere is homely, busy but not loud and the staff are helpful and friendly. I’ll be back again and again :)

Beam in Westbourne Grove is a family owned café and eatery offering amazing choices for brunch & lunch with reasonable prices. We tried the Turkish eggs and the French toast which were all so good and cost worthy. The service was fast and the place was very aesthetic too. I will definitely be coming back.

Exceptionally good food and friendly atmosphere. It looked the busiest restaurant in Crouch End so we thought it must be good, considering the competition. We were not disappointed. We were quickly shown to our table, and even though it was very busy there are plenty of tables and good room between them. There were lots of friends meeting for lunch and families. We were quickly served and had the salads. The goat’s cheese salad was amazing, as was the halloumi salad. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended

Visited this Spot for Brunch on a recent friday afternoon. I have to say that the recommendation that we got was on point. The group of six were very happy with all the food but the staff were second to none.. We along with all the other patrons were treated with exceptional service. The attention paid to the juinor members was fantastic and made a stressful excercise (meal time) seem incredibly easy. Thank you to all and we wish you continued success. Be back soon!

What a find in crouch end! I walked by here a few times and there always seemed to be a crowd waiting to be seated but it seemed pretty quiet today so thought I’d chance it. On first glance the menu prices seem mid-to-steep for brunch but having now eaten I can say they are very fair if not bargain prices! I regularly go for French toast when I spot it on a menu as you don’t get it in a lot of places and I have to say this is possibly the best one I’ve ever had. It’s definitely a top 3 and wouldn’t be out of place in a top restaurant which Beam very much is! The brioche bread was thick and the berries both fresh and tart with a beautiful balance of flavours between the compote / berries and the caramelised bananas and sauce on the plate. The portion was large to the point that you felt you get your monies worth but not so much so that you wouldn’t finish every last bite. Furthermore, the mocha was velvet smooth and the waiter was both polite and attentive and appeared at all the right moments rather than being on top of you or forgetting you exist. It’s definitely one of the best restaurants in crouch end for sure and I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing experience! Nice, friendly and approachable staff, very pretty decor and great tasting food. I went for brunch on a Monday morning with a friend visiting from overseas. We had the full English breakfast and the vegetarian one. Potions were huge, food was delicious and the service was attentive but not overwhelming. We saw the pancake dish our neighbouring table ordered and it looked delicious! We might go for that next time too. Big shout out to our waiter Marius, what a lovely guy. We’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, top service. I ordered a chai latte and avocado toast, everything was good, although avocado wasn’t fresh cut, it was mash avocado, not saying this is bad , just not what I was expecting. I will be back with friends, this time was only me.

Visited the Westbourne Grove branch in June 21 and had a lovely brunch. The restaurant was packed out and the range on the menu was superb. Lots of lovely salads to choose from. Staff are wonderful and very attentive. Couldn’t fault the place!

This is the 3rd time that I have visited Cafe Beam and I will definitely be going back again. Not only is the service superb from the moment I walked in the door but the food is excellent as well.

Yum!!! One of the busiest, friendliest and delicious breakfast/ brunch/ lunch places I have ever enjoyed on holidays whilst visiting my daughter. The management have the highest standards on par with Harbour Day Spa in Australia. You may have to wait a short time for a table but it’s worth every minute.

Discovered this spot a few weeks ago and been back every weekend since! Menu has incredible variety, portion sizes are very generous and each dish has been exceptional whether it was brunch classics like pancakes (GF!) or full English, or uniquely authentic Turkish fare like Turkish eggs or the Mediterranean breakfast! Service is quick and friendly too, couldn’t recommended more!

In a crowded and in the main good quality market for cafes in Crouch End, 'Beam' is well-established and appears to be thriving. On just about any given day one can see a variety of folk - workers and students on the wi-fi, families, loafers like me, all sorts really - indoors and outside the space. And what a space it is: a truly double fronted facility with some semi-sheltered tables looking out on to Crouch End Broadway outside and a truly huge indoor space featuring an eclectic - in a good way - range of seating options. The overall environment seemed well-laid out and clean looking and clean smelling, with a good number of genuinely contented looking staff. I'd agreed to meet a friend for breakfast / brunch, with Beam as a rendevous rather than a definite choice of venue to eat. It has been a while since I was last there so I elected to peruse the menu, and as I did, I began to see why Beam is popular, for there really is an impressive choice list. Sadly provenance was conspicuous by its absence: the chicken in the chicken and avocado sandwich was supposed to be free-range but I kind of had my doubts and further to previous and continuing experiences elsewhere (see my other reviews) I wasn't in the mood to take 4 weeks out of my life to verify this. Similarly the bacon was described as from Norfolk. Now, you'd hope that it was British and outdoor-reared but, again, it could have been brought in from anywhere and processed in Norfolk. Note to cafes and restaurants: publish your certifications. Anyway, as stated, the menu looked good, a great geographical spread of food maybe leaning a few degrees in places to Turkey, as evidenced by Shakshuka taking p(r)ide of place.

We always have the veggie breakfast. Weve always had to queue but we are quite fussy and are probably known at the lot that want to sit near a wall.

Went in by chance, as was super hungry. Ordered the veg break, stunningly done. Presentation to selection on offer. Very pleasantly done, and very large portion too. Food tasted great, and served very quick and the service was extremely well recieved.

My friend and I had heard about Cafe Beam and after having an awful meal nearby, we popped into this cafe for coffee. The decor is really nice and the waiters are very attentive. The menu looked good but we will be returning to try some of the food items another day. The coffee was good. All in all, a very nice and uplifting experience.

You are welcomed at the door at this vibrant cafe in the middle of Crouch End. Friendly and comminicative staff enhance the overall experience. Coffee is excellent, as are the brunch and lunch options. Food is healthy and nourishing - I will return when next in the area to sample more of your tasty menu.

THE BEST BRUNCH! The queue to get inside is the best gauge . Think there were 10 people before us but it’s well worth the wait. Fabulous shakshuka, breakfast burrito and bap. Lovely buzzing friendly vibe too! With coffee and tea a very reasonable £36.

I went to the beam restaurant for the second time, after a few months. Again, this place is a top choice for its food, service and atmosphere. I had a goat's cheese and beetroot salad, white wine and a french toast. Delicious food, beautifully served and the service is top!

Went here this afternoon with my friend and I know love this place! We order a falafel salad and vegetarian bap, the portion were big and the food incredibly tasty. Service was great too. Such a chilled vibe in there. Love it!

We've had brunch at Beam twice now and been thoroughly impressed both times. Although they were very busy on both occasions as we visited on the weekend, we didn't wait more than five minutes for a table. The menu is extensive with lots of vegan, vegetarian and a few gluten free options. I had the French Toast the first time and it was one of the French Toasts I've even had! The second time, I had the Mediterranean Breakfast (minus sausage, as I'm veggie) - this was huge and great value for menu. The service on both occasions was warm and attentive. It's a really good atmosphere and I would definitely recommend and be returning to sample more brunch dishes.

We came in here as my birthday breakfast/brunch. Service was extraordinarily fast, and just the right amount of intrusiveness, met all your requests but wasn't in your face all the time. Food arrived approximately 5 minutes after ordering - wow! I have been looking for the fastest service in Crouch End and I think this could be it.

This café is always busy, which is a testament to its' atmosphere. We had a beetroot and goats cheese salad and eggs benedict on sour dough with beetroot and goats cheese. The food is fine, though not exceptional. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to chill out or meet friends, a regular for many Crouch Enders.

We visited for the first time last weekend. It was very busy and there was a long queue but the staff were friendly and coped amazingly. The coffee and food were both great and I’d definitely return if I was in the area. The girl who cleared up after a child had thrown most of her food and crayons on the floor, was a saint. The parents weren’t!

The vegan falafel wrap was delicious; in fact these are the best falafel I have eaten. The kofta wrap and full English breakfast were also good. Atmosphere is relaxed and service is friendly.

Not a quiet spot for a chat as it's wildly popular. Expect a wait for a table at the weekend. Reasonably prices; they know their market to a tee. Lots of mums with buggies, but also a very mixed community from the local area. The owners have been in the areas for decades.

Tip to toe well thought and executed ... Spacious , well lit and nice music ... We had med breakfast and few desserts you can fault none , friendly and attentive staff ... definitely would go back and recommed it

Mi segunda visita para el brunch durante mi estancia con mi hija. La primera vez que tenía el shakshuka, esta vez tenía el burrito de desayuno. Ambos sobresalientes pero enormes! ! ! Te mantiene lleno todo el día! OH tenía el bap de desayuno y esto también fue increíble. Un animado ambiente animado muestra que este es un gran café. 25 es un valor excelente.

Tercera vez visitando Beam. Llevé a mi hermana y amigos aquí para el brunch. Todo lo que hemos comido aquí ha sido encantador. Me encantan los panqueques y las tostadas francesas, pero recomendaría la salsa de caramelo salada al lado (es fuerte).

I don't understand the hype about this place. The food is ok, I had Shakshuka, good but nothing like 'Ouahhh' especially at this price. Was disappointed about the bread, it says artisan, was expecting some nice sourdough bread.

Popped in around lunch time, decided to order a kofte, the meat was not nice at all, still frozen inside, when I told them they didn’t seem to bothered, £8.95 for a frozen kofte not much else to say about the place.

Another favourite brunch place of ours in Crouch End, North London. The queue is often long on a Sunday, but it moves quite quickly and it's worth the wait. Huge varied menu with options for everyone, great coffee, lovely staff. I hear that a second branch was due to open in September in Blackstock Road. I'll have to try that one too, but love the original!

I was born in Hornsey in the 60's and Crouch End Broadway holds many happy memories for me. I decided to pay a long overdue visit with my daughter to show her where I was born and went to school, even where I had my first Saturday job (Boots the chemist - and it still looks the same)! We were spoiled for places for lunch but plumped for Café Beam as it was buzzing and had a queue for tables - always a good sign. What a good choice we made, the staff were attentive, even when we were in the queue, we were seated within no more than 10 minutes and served promptly. My daughter chose the Mediterranean breakfast whilst I had the Ana Capri (parma ham, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, scrambled egg, parmesan and sour dough toast), both dishes were hot, plentiful and delicious. Quite honestly we had trouble choosing as we could quite happily have eaten the whole menu. We would definitely recommend this wonderful café and will be returning.
