Pretty much the most hostile coffee place in all of Edinburgh. The staff were abrupt and unfriendly. The coffee wasn't good. Go to a vending machine, it has more personality.

Went to pizzahut around 1345 on Friday, only around 30 to 40 percent of the tables were occupied but been told they are fully booked. Don't think it's a big party booking as people's seating scattered the restaurant evenly. The restaurant either don't want us to eat there at all or the management was so inefficient. One of the kids really wanted pizzahut so we ordered takeaway. No one with booking walked in during our 20min wait. We just have to wait at the entrance looking at all these empty tables. I have never been told a restaurant is fully booked when there were so many empty tables. At the end the pizza wasn't even as good as the free one from Tenpin...

Cold, mechanical, and depressing atmosphere. Rude staff that wouldn’t even give me a fork to eat their overpriced and tasteless food with. Definitely the worst cafe I've been to.

Absolutely shocked and dismayed that a massive hotel group can justify well over £130 a night for a room that has a TV the size of a postage stamp, does not have a lift in working order, even though there are 5 floors. We were beleived that all rooms had been updated, modernised, and a hotel you could rely to bring comforts. Absolutely shocking. Travelodge are..... Good at ripping people off. Would have been cheaper staying outwith the city and paying for a bus, tram or Taxi. We will do next time.

Our first stop in Edinburgh was the elephant cafe . Upon arrival at the cafe we were totally surprised that it is opened and that there was no queue . Waited excitedly to be seated and a young lady ushered us to a lovely window seats overlooking the street. Just as we were getting ourselves comfortable, another lady by the name Samiha came by and questioned “who gave you the table “ Honestly we were quite taken aback. Being a well travelled person of my age this was totally not acceptable and plain rude. The second episode was when I went to the cashier to ask if I should order at the counter , the same staff exaggeratedly commented in Spanish (I think) that I was impatient. The episode didn’t end here. Later the same lady, Samiha, found out that I was trying to get her name. She came back and challenged me lecturing me throughout that cafe is very “crowded” ; customers need to wait to be seated. The whole issue is we were ushered to the seats by the window! We did not just barged in! Honestly this kind of behaviour is totally not acceptable . To my worst horror i later found out she is the supervisor of the cafe ! A junior staff who had witnessed all this and was so sweet that she apologised profusely on behalf of the rude supervisor for my bad experience! Fine cafe but be warned of ill mannered supervisor !
