Brilliant cafe, super service and great food cooked to order. Something for everyone - even coeliacs! Super impressed by how much care the staff took of us given coeliac needs, will be back here often

Great lunch, but oh my word the cherry scone, jam and cream I brought home was the best scone I’ve ever eaten. It was delicious and worthy of a trip there just to have that. 10/10

Lovely food, the service was prompt and friendly, and everything was exactly as we ordered. Prices were reasonable too. Would definitely go again.

If you walk in and there are more than three people already in the queue you will be better off walking back out again. The speed of service is glacial. Food and drink is pretty good when you get it, but they also messed up the coffee order (there were only two coffees on the order), so that needed re-doing (another 2-3 minute wait). Yes it was a busy Sunday, but they were not understaffed - they were just poorly organised and slow full stop.

Visited the cafe at Grizedale last week after a trip to go ape. Not been to Grizedale for a few years and what an improvement. The hotdog was incredible. Not the cheapest but well worth the money! Can’t wait to visit again.

2 Cold coffees and over sweet dry cakes, for an extortion £15!! They have a captive audio but honestly don’t waste your money.

The location and design of the cafe is excellent and the menu is fine. It’s a pity the service did not live up to the surroundings. It took over 20 minutes to get four soups and a kids box.

Have spent a couple of hours exploring Grizedale Forest trails, we stopped at the cafe in the visitors centre - Cafe Ambrio. This is a dog friendly place to eat with both inside and outside eating. Menu has good choice however my wife and I both selected the daily special and were not disappointed. Hot pork roll with stuffing, crackling, apple sauce, chips and gravy. This cafe is a great stop after a short or long walk around the forest.
