Cabin Cafe in Gwynedd

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after doing business in the area. The first thing that hit me was the overwhelming smell of grease and chip fat. The establishment was rather small which didn't really accomodate the amount of tables, so you felt Squashed. We ordered a white coffee which tasted like cheap powdered coffee, like mellow birds. You couldn't taste the coffee, just the claggy fatty milk in it. It must have been my husbands fault because as he asked for 2x white coffees which I think must translate to milky coffee in wales. We should have probably asked for an americano, if they did such a thing. Anyway, my husband ordered a full english breakfast, and I ordered a small version, but they couldn't do this even though they had all the ingredients as it was exactly the same as my husbands but just less of it. Oh no, they said..its not on the menu. We can do you fried bread with bacon and fried egg, which I opted for as all I wanted was a small cooked breakfast. Martin's, my husband's looked ok, nothing special, but mine, when it finally came! good grief it was a plate of fat. Fatty fried bread with cardboard like bacon on top the 2 of the most greasy undercooked , oily fried eggs wobbling on the top. I couldn't face it so they changed my fried bread for toast, quite reluctantly, and just plonked the now cold and greasy original bacon and eggs on top of the thin white toast!! I ate because I was starving, but couldn't stomach the coffee. It tasted bad enough the first time. who I presumed was the owner didn't seem bothered about anything that was going on other than getting the payment, as I heard her say to the waitress 'have they paid for their coffee!. The waitress who was trying her best started calling my husband sir! 'is everything alright sir, can I get you anything else...the owner still sat there contributing , and eager to make sure we paid!! what a farce!! 😆

Nice breakfast cooked well. Good coffee! Reasonably priced.

Lovely people. My husband loved the liver and onions with home made chips.

Love this little cafe. The staff are so friendly and down to earth. We've always had good food here and plenty of it. If you like listening to 60's music, then this is the place to go. Note. Cash only cafe.

Nice cafe, lots of info on vinyl discs, 50's and 60's retro.. . Only had two cups of coffe, excellent

Simple cafe with fascinating musical interior. Bacon and egg sandwich very enjoyable with no flourish or fanfare. Carry your own mustard. Toilet off site but clean and free

Called at the Cabin.A hearty breakfast with lovely bacon and sausage, will call again when in Pwllheli.

Probably the worst cafe I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Took an hour for food to arrive, even though we were originally told 15 mins. Order turned up with items missing. Bacon not cooked. Avoid.

Went into the cabin today What a wonderful experience Staff very friendly, cafe exceptionally clean and the best toasty and BLT we d every had. Deffo call in if you re in Pwllheli 5 stars indeed 😀

Really lovely cafe, only small in size but with a big personality. Lots of music memorabilia to have a nosey at and the owners were friendly and welcoming and the all day breakfast we had was superb. Would recommend to anyone :)

As others have said, its friendly and clean, with good food at a good price. However, I would agree that the sausages could be better, but I still enjoyed them. 😎

Fantastic little cafe, just a handful of tables and seats so it's nice and cozy Excellent service, excellent food and good price along with friendly staff and customers It looks grim from the outside but don't let this put you off Good music playing, rock and roll themed inside Highly recommended 😁

Friendly staff ok basic cafe needs better sausages though but interior is a dream 1950s buffs go there, it will be a film set one day playing all the old hits whilst you dine
