We recently discovered CGulls in Troon when walking around the shops. It is on the street behind the main thoroughfare in the old Post Office building and is a hidden gem ! It is very well spaced inside and absolutely spotless which makes it feel safe and relaxing at the same time. The food and drinks are very reasonable and excellent quality - the homemade soup is our favourite. They also do non-dairy milk which is a pleasing change from many places. We can't fault the staff or the service - polite, friendly, efficient and all wearing masks and following all the covid guidance. I cannot recommend it highly enough and would definitely say to people to just walk an extra minute around the corner for a real treat.

I visited with my family and have a fussy eater in the family. The staff was very helpful and patient when it came to order dishes without a few ingredients or even taking one order that wasn’t on the menu. The place has a nice play are and it has a quiet atmosphere. We loved our visit!

My husband and I visited CGulls for lunch whilst visiting Troon for the day. The cafe is located in the centre of the town and close to a car park. We both opted for a panini which we both enjoyed and the selection of home baking that was sitting staring at us was too tempting not to try. We both had a cake and a coffee to wash it down. The cafe itself is very child friendly, caters for all ages and has some lovely wee child friendly menu ideas. Even the shared toiled area had nappies etc on offer for those customers with young kids with them. Very reasonably priced, great selection of snacks on the menu and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We most definitely will return.

We went on a Groupon deal. Service and welcome was first class and the service continued this way all the way through our time there. We ordered drinks and food (panini, toastie and a jacket potatoe) all arrived in a reasonable time and well presented. The food was tasty and cooked well. For afters how could we turn down some cake the white chocolate millionaire shortbread got a massive thumbs up from the teenager in our group. this is a cracking wee place I would definitely recommend and would definitely visit when back this way. thank you

The kids platters are good value and variety. My sandwich was nice. Food is average. Staff are very friendly and helpful. However great place if you want a bite to eat while the kids play as there is a large play area for them.

Good to see it’s still as good for younger granddaughter as for older granddaughter when she was little. Hadn’t changed in seven years. Little ones can play with the toys and still be seen by parents and grandparents. Great idea. Food is good too.

We found this wee cafe while looking for somewhere to have a plate of soup.We didn't fancy the soup on offer (minestrone)I'm more of a scotch broth, lentil or pea and ham kind of person. We opted for the all day breakfast and I'm glad we did,it was well cooked and delicious. We look forward to a return visit.

Popped in today with family for a spot of lunch. A lovely young lady serving soon brought us our piping hot soup orders ( 2 choices, chicken & rice which my mum declared as "lovely " and vegan tomato which my niece declared was "fabulous"!)......all accompanied by our choice of sandwiches & French toast (excellent!). Of course, we then had to indulge in some of their lovely homemade cakes & coffee!!! Fabulous value for our party of 5. Excellent , prompt & friendly service. Well worth stopping by! Very child friendly & lovely colourful murals on the bathroom walls 🙂. Well done Troon.

We popped into this little cafe on arriving in troon. We were looking for a simple lunch and happened to park right outside it. It was quiet when we went in and we had a lovely warm welcome. It was just a simple lunch of paninis, but they were piping hot with a tasty side salad. The cafe looks as if it's popular with families as it has a little play area for kids, so probably a good visit if you have family in tow! Good value. We'll recommended.

I opted for the ‘mini’ fish supper at a brilliant price of just three pounds. It was really delicious and the portion was so big. The young lad who served me was really friendly and we had a bit of banter. Thoroughly recommend this place and will be back next time I’m in Ayr.

Went on a small adventure to Coylton Arms Inn. I have to say we will be back, the food is very good, a well seasoned lasagna with plenty of herbs, nice béchamel sauce and a good salad and french fries. The only small criticism was the lack of staff which made the wait slightly longer than necessary. The staff themselves were extremely welcoming and the ambiance was charming without being twee. Portion size was good without being excessive. All in all an enjoyable experience that I would recommend for a pub lunch.

Good view to clubhouse , Ailsa craig and golf course and light house , from restaurant , Expensive place for food and drink . Food was reasonable. We got a good deal to stay there , but cost of drink and food makes up for cheaper accommodation in winter rates .
