Back in March I had a delivery from this company, when it turned up a portion of fries was missing and a burger was badly burnt, since then I've been fobbed off constantly while trying to get a refund, they clearly do not care about customers , the worst customer service I've ever experienced

The food was absolutely amazing. So flavoursome and juicy. I could not recommend a takeaway enough .

This is for Colchester branch at the pub and not Ipswich branch. Order wait time for delivery was a staggering 1 hour 45 minutes at a quiet time on a Sunday at 3pm - far too long. Food was disappointing and putting chips in a foil bag just makes them sweaty, horrible and flavourless - burger was bang average also - nothing special at all - I visited and ate I. the pub (Bricklayers) in Colchester last summer and the food was 100% better when dining in compared to delivery - when I took the burger out of box today there was a puddle of fat which had saturated the bun and made food taste horrible - had no one thought to press the fat out of the burger before putting in the box? Wings were the only decent thing - my tip is avoid delivery from Colchester at all costs as wait times and quality of food isn’t a patch on what you receive if you eat in

Awful all round. This company has no respect for its customers. You place an order online for delivery and pay upfront, of course, but they can’t be bothered to call you to inform you of a 45 minute delay to your delivery! You actually have to call them to inquire about your late delivery. The attitude is staggering. I would highly recommend NOT ordering from a company that treats its customers as pure $$$.

I collected my order and ate it in the car park after reading reviews that said the food they deliver arrives cold - to no avail, my food was slightly warm, certainly not hot. The chips were undercooked and so soggy we didn't eat them. The burgers were very average and pretty tasteless. The dirty fries were drenched in sauce to the point they were just mush. All in all very unimpressed. I paid £26.90 for 2 small burgers and a dirty fries. Total waste of money. How this set up won the Best Takeaway Award, I have no idea.

The rating is for the food alone, it is so delicious I can't even begin to describe it. It's luxury takeaway and it IS worth the price. We have had food from BWR several times and not once have we been unhappy about any part of the meal. I don't see any way there is a more tasty takeaway option in Ipswich, this is top tier food. The wait times is however a problem due to the fact BWR has become so popular. We ordered to collect at a set time, showed up and stood outside for a further 25 minutes before we got our order. Another time we ordered we paid a fair bit for delivery and it arrived late. Both these cases were when we ordered on a weekend, all other times we had no issues at all with delivery time, so choose day and time wisely if you want a special treat.

We ordered through uber eats to Church walk. Turned up when uber said the food was ready and premises was closed. Tried to ring 10+ times to the company and no answer. Contacted their customer services team via WhatsApp in the end and only an apology.

The first time I ordered from Stowmarket, I waited an hour to collect and left with no food in the end. The next time, I did get my food but it was not brilliant. The smallest burgers I've ever seen and not great tasting. Very mediocre. Don't believe the hype!

I've ordered takeaway 4 or 5 times and gone to the pub for sit down meals in the Ipswich Venue. The food is always on point, never had a single compliant and always tasted great. The portion sizes are amazing and you definitely get your moneys worth. Delivery has always been very quick with ordering online as they use their own drivers who are always very friendly and polite when dropping off your order. The pub service was excellent, brilliant food as always and the chef who we've seen there numerous times is a very polite lad and even personally came to check that we were enjoying everything. Very highly recommend the restaurant for their food and great service.

Always a bit worried trying a new place you have never been to before, Saturday night and we waited a little while for delivery but it was worth it! Food was hot, fresh and there was so much of it! We had the dirty fries (which were amazing but you need at least 3 people to share them), two lots of chicken thighs which were so yummy and a 🍔. Will definitely be ordering again but may need to have more people to share next time lol. So full!!!!

Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, although nothing to do with food as I haven't even has the chance to try it. Pre-ordered online from the Harwich branch on Sunday afternoon about half 3ish for 7pm delivery slot as a treat for last day of maternity leave, only to later receive a text message about half hour before it was due to say that branch isn't open today. Still took our money though and are now saying that they cannot refund it until next Tuesday at the very earliest, all of this communication via email, and having to be chased by us. Over £50 worth of food ordered to be told (after chasing for 5 days) we have to still wait at least another 4!!! Horrendous customer service and therefore won't be using them again, which is a shame as have heard good food reviews.

I emailed a complaint on 12th September but have been ignored. Food was over an hour late. We phoned to get an update and was told the food was being picked up that moment. An hour later the food finally arrived. By they point we had ordered another takeaway as it was past 9pm and we were starving. This is very poor service which is a shame because the food is very good.

Good turned up cold after waiting 2 hours the delivery girl even said it's been a nightmare to work with and she always gets abuse from customers I dread to think how they are treated. Wings were terrible and cheap drowning in sauce had to get the fishing rod out. Mac n cheese was microwaved very dry no taste. Burger was over cooked and rock hard round the edges. Bun was not toasted it was wet from the sauce and fell apart the quality of food is dreadful how they get away with it I don't know but won't last long. I am extremely angry

So I thought I would give B.W.R a second chance because as I stated before, I really enjoyed the food However, the experience was just as bad if not worse Ordered over £40 of food at approx 1830hrs asking for a delivery of 1940. Food eventually turned up 2015hrs The lateness of the order isn’t the crux of my bad review. 1. No answer on phone 2. Facebook post left asking for order update 3. Email sent through website asking for update 4. DM through Instagram left for update Unbelievably bad customer service - all I ask for is to be kept up to speed Will not use again- which is a shame as, yet again, the food is food

I have been visiting this particular restaurant for years and it has always been good. Unfortunately this time I visited it was terrible. The restaurant has been declining for a while and this last visit on 27th October is likely to be my last one. When we got there I observed that the restaurant was only about 35% full. It was a Sunday evening and is to be expected. We were placed at a table and given menus. After about 15 minutes nobody had come back to even ask if we wanted drinks or to take our order. We went back to the main desk and asked to be moved to a different table stating that we were being forgotten. The staff said we weren't, it was just that a big table in the other end of the restaurant had been monopolising their time. I looked and this was only a table of 8 people - not exactly huge. Finally we were asked for our order, which was taken. We had been in the restaurant about 20 minutes by now. The restaurant was very cold and a lot of people were complaining. At one point the duty manager asked my wife to move so she could reach the temperature controls. Unbelievably these are located up high on a column. The manager had to reach them by standing on the seat! When done she didn't even wipe the seat where she had been standing, which was where my wife was originally sitting. We were given bowls for the salad bar. When I got there everything was very depleted. Some things had completely run out. All the sauces were empty. Appalling. We were then becoming acutely aware of the female chef standing at front of house. She was being loud, crashing around, talking constantly at full volume and flirting with other staff members. She was knocking back Red Bull like there was no tomorrow. I think she must have been on acid or something. It was making the atmosphere very uncomfortable. Even the other staff were complaining about her! After about another half an hour there was no sign of our meals. They again seemed to be concentrating solely on the 'big' table of 8. Food for this table was coming out sporadically and was being lined up on the counter for collection. Some of the plates were sitting there for at least 10 minutes with people walking past, the mad chef talking constantly and breathing all over them. I don't know about anyone else, but when a plate is ready I would expect it to be taken straight to the table. I was shocked. We were there for 50 minutes in total and this charade seemed never ending. By the end of it we were thoroughly pissed off with the atmosphere, staff attitude, lack of attention and having been there for 50 minutes with no sign of food in a restaurant that was only at 35% capacity. I also observed other customers being ignored in a similar manner. At this point we had had enough and got up and walked out. The staff weren't even apologetic - it was almost like they were glad to see the back of us. The whole experience was shocking. It was a Sunday evening and I get the impression that the staff didn't care and just wanted to get home. The salad bar being practically empty is also unacceptable - I expect to have the same level of service at any time of the week, as we are being charged the same amount regardless. The staff looked scruffy too. Many tables were not properly cleaned. This whole experience was dreadful and has completely put me off eating out. Shame on you Harvester - continue like this and you'll be out of business.

My colleagues, friends and I always love to go to this restaurant to celebrate birthdays and special occassion. They have good food, however we will not come back again for the CUSTOMER SERVICE that we had. It was my leaving do. I reserved a table and made a deposit for 12 people (£10/person), unfortunately 8 people only arrived as people were sick (we are all nurses from the hospital). Even though we consumed food that was good for 12 people and the restaurant was not as full on that night, they charged us £40 for the people who did not come in and said that it was for the reservation. My colleagues spoke to the manager, who was resistant and argumentative, saying that the deposit cannot be refunded or used for people who did not attend. Hence, they will be keeping it. It was quite a long discussion until one of my senior colleagues spoke to him, and gave back our deposit. The waitresses were rude and not understanding either, after the discussion happened they did not stop badgering me about the deposit. One waitress apologised to her friend’s friend, who is one of my colleagues, however she did not stop talking and staring until I left. I had a wonderful and memorable dinner with my colleagues, however it ended up badly on how we got treated on this restaurant when a problem arised.
